For us to meet these new challenges, we must offer a wider range of services, rather than simply put an AD in front of someone and rely on the traditional marketing techniques. Our agency model is made out of 3 departments:

This system allows DIFRNT to serve clients in a variety of ways and opens new collaboration opportunities with clients that would meet innovation needs of the 2020+ consumer.
We want to have an impact and for doing that we need to own the high-level business strategy. The traditional consultancy model ends at recommendations, while the traditional digital agency model is about implementation.
We believe that owning both ideation and implementation is a major differentiator in an innovation-driven world.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am currently the Business Development Manager for an online credit reporting company based in Romania.
For what projects/services did your company hire DIFRNT AGENCY?
We hired DIFRNT in order to help us with a strategy for our product and also to do the implementation of the elements set in the strategy for our product launch
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to reach a specific audience considering that we provide a financial service targeting high net worth individuals working in corporations such as CEO's, CFO's Debt Collection Managers or salespersons in order to pitch them our enterprise version of the product.
How did you select this vendor?
I was in charge of finding a digital agency and to be honest, it was not an easy task. We specifically wanted to work with a team who is able to understand our business and build a growth strategy based on our KPI's. After meeting with a couple of agencies trying to sell us their services, I was impressed to see that the Difrnt team asked lots of questions regarding our business processes and clients. They've spent 1 month with us in order to understand everything that we do, and only then started working on a digital strategy for launching our product. Even though they are not offering consulting services, I believe this is their competitive advantage in this red ocean of digital agencies.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The scope of work was to:
- create an online campaign for launching Confidas, targeting decision makers working in corporations.
- build the digital strategy for the next 6 months.
The main channels were LinkedIn, Facebook & E-mail marketing. They did great work in the implementation of an e-mail automation software (Active Campaign) so that we can send personalized e-mails to customers who land on our website. In terms of creative, their team was crazy enough to come up with a bunch of creative video ads used in Remarketing campaigns on Facebook. Basically, we knew what was the point where people got stuck in our website and we were following them with personalized short videos across multiple channels to make them come back on the platform and finish the on-boarding process. It was brilliant.
What was the team composition?
As far as I understood, they work in squads and during our collaboration, we've worked 5 of their team members (Digital Strategist, PPC, SEO, Creative Director, and the founders). They don't have an account manager but instead use a slack channel. Therefore, every time I had a question, I simply asked it on slack and someone would answer in a matter of minutes.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Their digital strategy helped us reach a total of 200 k unique visits on our website in just a few months so gained a lot of visibility and our first enterprise client came without any selling effort. Our website is now ranked in the top 500 fastest growing websites from Romania.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We worked very well together using Asana to organize our work & Slack to communicate. Nothing else to add here.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
As I've mentioned above, I was impressed by their genuine interest in understanding our business. You wouldn't expect from a digital agency to have consultancy competencies in-house. Also, their mindset is very open to accepting new ideas&perspectives. After you meet them, you feel that there's a certain kind of young & crazy culture inside their workplace. It was a pleasure to work with them.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Patience. Their mindset is to get things done fast, but sometimes it's not the best thing to do.
