This software product is critical to our business as it underpins our primary service. We wanted to take our industry-leading analytics solution and move it from a client-based application to a pure cloud-based solution. This was a project hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS). It involved MS SQL Server, C#, .Net, Telerik Controls, Web services, etc.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to have a solution, which our clients would recognize for the same deep analytics, yet looked like it was made for the cloud and was not simply a quick port of a client solution. Key measures for improvement were in relation to cost-effectiveness, responsiveness to customer needs, and platform reliability.

We wanted a Cloud consulting partner who was big enough to be able to pull in specialized AWS resources whenever required and complete the work on time. Dexoc has turned out to meet both of these points very well. Dexoc is an expert in all Cloud services along with Custom Software Development.

Dexoc has been excellent showing expertise in all of the key technologies we needed: AWS, Amazon Elasticsearch services (Run & Scale Elasticsearch clusters), AWS Data Pipeline, Amazon Lambda function, AWS EC2, AWS S3, C#/.Net, MSSQL Server. Our own fluid requirements have made it challenging at times, but Dexoc has excelled.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The performance has been great. Compared to the previous methodology of onshore development with in-house developers. Our costs are down by around 40% while our output has doubled. Quality has improved. Costs are predictable while we have improved access to certain skill sets. Dexoc is highly flexible, responsive and has provided a continuity of resources. They have delivered everything that was expected on them.

Dexoc was quick to agree with our assessment and was proactive in offering solutions, which we felt went beyond what was required.

I can not think of any obvious things Dexoc should have changed because of our satisfaction level through the project life cycle. Their allocated Software engineering team was always optimal & efficient.

We’ve been working together on multiple projects so far. For the first one, Dexoc helped us with a massive overhaul of a legacy iOS mobile app that’s was written in Objective-C language to migrate it using Swift technology. They delivered the final version for us to deploy to production within about 6 months. Now, we’re working together in an agile loop to make continuous improvements to the app.

Since we experienced success in building our iOS app with Dexoc - Mobile app company, we decided to similarly re-engage their services for the Android version as well Web application to be developed from scratch. The third project they have supported was the DevOPS methodology project with Kubernetes, Elastic Load balancer, Code deploy, Develop Branch, Deploy Test Branch, Deploy on development server, Staging Branch, Sonar scan, Continous Integration & Continous Deployement (CI/CD) etc.

We worked with a team of 5 software developers, and they have assigned us a dedicated project manager as well.

The project was managed on our side and we followed agile principles. Their developer worked remotely, but each month we had “internal work” days during which he visited our office, updated us, and we planned the next phase.

When we decided to scale up the development team, Dexoc provided us with a project manager. They now manage delivery and help us improve cooperation between Dexoc and our company. They do such an excellent job at keeping projects on track that I can now focus on the business areas of our products.

Business analyst of Dexoc team has first reviewed our rough wireframes and the overall features we wanted. They helped with estimates: how long the development would take and a QA plan. Dexoc team worked with us daily to create a beta app for iOS and Android platform. They also configured the project management portion of the app, which allows users to save their data to their local device, move the asset around the app itself, and send it via e-mail. As part of this, they implemented a simple search engine for users to easily find assets. Their developers communicated daily on different changes to the features and increases to the scope. Throughout the project, I provided the stories, and they developed the code and helped with QA. After finalizing the launch, they helped with post-launch maintenance support.

Dexoc has developed The Document and Request Management System, an intranet web application, based on SharePoint Server. The Document and Request Management system handles workflow in HR, Document library, Request handling and Event or Appointment Management. In each workflow, specific users have permission to carry out a specific task. To make sure that each user can carry out their task successfully, as per user’s job responsibility, two to five access levels has been defined in the workflow.

One Project Manager and one Business manager were assigned to me for all the time and team members for different project revolve around them as this is multiple project development ongoing work.
