I’m the CTO of Paragon, a software company. We provide an embedded integrations platform that helps B2B SaaS companies quickly build and manage native integrations, handling authentication, error management, monitoring, and scalability.

We needed to scale our nearshore engineering team.

Devlane has been prospecting candidates, conducting initial interviews, acting as the employer of record within each country, and managing devices. Their work has been focused on staffing only.

What is the team composition?

We’ve hired ~10 engineers and managers through Devlane.

We found them on Clutch. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, were close to our geographic location, had pricing that fit our budget, had a great culture fit, and offered good value for the cost.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

Devlane has reduced our recruitment and onboarding time for new hires by at least 80%.

We do the project management, so they don’t manage the project.

I'm the Sr Directory of Engineering for the Data Platform. We are a social networking and dating app for the LGBTQ community.

We hired Devlane to help migrate a large Data Lake from Cloudera to Snowflake. Devlane Data Engineers continue to provide critical support for the development and maintenance of dozens of data pipelines and hundreds of datasets used daily to operate our business.

We had a previous relationship with Devlane, we were impressed with the leadership and the candidates we interviewed.

We started with a single Data Engineer and have since added 3 more. We went from a lift and shift project to more general business data modeling support for new product features and a steady burn down of technical debt.

The project was delivered at good quality on time.

We manage the Devlane engineers as part of our agile / scrum development process.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Devlane provides a flexible way to obtain high-quality engineers at a reasonable price. The engineers being in South America is a more favorable time zone for collaboration than other options.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It would be great to have a path to promote a contractor a full time employee.
