OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address?
We hired Deuxon to support and accelerate our equity crowdfunding campaign on WeFunder by driving investor outreach and generating investor meetings through email and LinkedIn marketing.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement and team dynamic?
Deuxon was engaged for a fundraising marketing campaign that included investor email outreach, LinkedIn outreach, copywriting, campaign setup, reporting, and ongoing campaign management. Dmitrii Lukin was the primary point of contact and handled communication and strategy directly.
What's the status of this engagement?
The engagement has concluded.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
How did your relationship with your partner evolve?
Although the fundraising campaign did not achieve the intended performance outcomes, Deuxon acknowledged this and honored the performance guarantee outlined in our agreement. After the engagement concluded, they began the refund process by issuing the initial payment and committing to complete the remaining balance. This represented a clear shift from the earlier stage of the engagement and demonstrated a good-faith effort to resolve the matter.
In what ways can they improve?
Clearer expectation-setting around timelines and results, along with faster execution of post-engagement resolutions, would strengthen the overall client experience. Ensuring that performance guarantees are fulfilled promptly once triggered would further build trust.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
Dmitrii is one of the few people I’ve worked with who is truly a man of his word. Despite real business hardships, he followed through on his commitments and honored the performance guarantee, which is rare in this space. He also went above and beyond the original scope and timeline, offering extensive additional efforts to support the raise. While this engagement ultimately fell short of the intended results, that outcome was the exception rather than the norm. Given that very few providers are willing to guarantee results at all—and even fewer actually stand behind those guarantees—I would confidently recommend working with him.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Measurable Outcomes
Despite the promised scope — 100,000 investor emails, 200,000 newsletter sends, and 2,000 LinkedIn messages — the campaign produced zero investor meetings, zero new investments, and no measurable fundraising progress. The vendor’s reporting claimed success by including pre-existing or unrelated funds, but no verifiable results were delivered. In writing, the vendor admitted they could not honor their own refund guarantee due to financial issues.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Project Management
The vendor failed to deliver the promised outcomes and consistently delayed progress. While mass emails and LinkedIn messages were technically sent, there was no evidence of results, no investor meetings, and no new funds raised. Reporting was vague and misleading, relying on inflated numbers that included pre-existing investments. When asked to honor their contractual refund guarantee, they admitted in writing they could not pay due to cash flow problems. Overall, they did not respond effectively to our needs, did not take accountability, and did not manage the project in a professional or trustworthy way.
What was your primary form of communication with Deuxon?
Email or Messaging App
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Nothing stood out as impressive in terms of performance or professionalism. What was unique — in a negative sense — was how they misrepresented results by counting unrelated or pre-existing investments as campaign outcomes. Even more concerning, they openly admitted in writing that they could not honor their own refund guarantee due to financial problems.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Deuxon could have done differently?
Deuxon should have honored the contractual refund guarantee instead of admitting they could not pay. They should have delivered verifiable outcomes — actual investor meetings and attributable investments — rather than sending mass emails that produced nothing. Transparency was also lacking; instead of inflating numbers with pre-existing funds, they should have provided honest reporting. Fundamentally, they needed to manage the campaign professionally, take accountability when results failed, and treat the client relationship with integrity.
