We collaborated with Designocracy on a SaaS-based pet care platform designed to provide an all-in-one solution for pet owners. The application covers a wide range of pet care needs, bringing multiple services together in one platform. The scope included designing and developing the core product experience for pet owners looking to find playmates for their pets, book grooming and other care services, access veterinary telehealth, maintain pet-related information, and purchase pet care products. The key deliverable was a comprehensive 360-degree pet care application that brings these different services into a single, easy-to-use platform. Designocracy worked with us across the product design and development process, helping turn the concept into a structured SaaS product with a complete user experience covering the major aspects of modern pet care.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The biggest outcome was a significant improvement in the overall design and user experience of the product after working with Designocracy. They helped us turn a complex 360-degree pet care concept into a much cleaner, more intuitive, and user-friendly experience. For the MVP, we conducted usability testing with 25+ test users, covering key journeys such as pet profile setup, finding pet services, grooming bookings, telehealth, playmate discovery, and product browsing. Around 88% of users were able to complete the primary tasks without assistance, while approximately 90% rated the overall experience positively. The testing also helped us identify and resolve several navigation and usability issues before moving further into development. Overall, Designocracy gave us a much stronger design foundation for the product and helped validate the MVP with real users before scaling it.

Designocracy agreed to meet on a fairly strict and repetitive schedule and continue to fulfil this request on a professional level.  Our projects are design intensive and contain numerous data insertions via API and other unique processes.  Although we keep throwing them curve balls, the team at Designocracy continues to deliver.

Over the last 15 years, we have tried numerous times to work with cross-border teams with little or no success.  This last year, we thought we would try again. We interviewed and trial-tested no less than 5 other companies and were about to give up, until we found Designococy.  The Management and their cross-border (time zone) solutions were intriguing and have turned out to have made all the difference. 

For the most part, timelines are meet, and if they are behind, it's usually because we move the goal posts on agreed design and feature requests.  I know we have frustrated our team a number of times, but Ali and Owais always come through for us.

The team responds to our needs with a focus on doing what we want, but also suggesting enhanced solutions. They are patient and always helpful.

For what projects/services did your company hire Designocracy?

I was looking for a new modern, clean but yet innovative website to match our company's energy. It has been about 5 years since we had a new website and with our company growing so much, we were looking for a change of scenery.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We reached out to many vendors; but we went with who we felt had the best communication; and we were right.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We talked via email for majority of the work; which is my preference. Once they understood what I was looking for and I filled out the information they made a mock website for me to look and and approve. Once approved, they added in the information and constantly edit it and uploaded things until it was perfect!

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with two people; one I believe to be the owner and the other to be the actual web developer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project turned out great; so great that I actually had them do another project for me as well. They worked extremely proficiently and quick and got it done well before my need by date.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Fantastic. They are quick to respond with any communication platform.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How fast they worked. I am usually on top of everything but they were ahead of me every step of the way.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No; I enjoyed the entire process and would use again!

I am the Director of Communications for It Takes A Village Family of Schools. We provide non-profit education and family services.

We have worked with Designocracy on both website development and branded template design.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We put a call out online for a developer to help with a laundry list of website bug fixing tasks, and Designocracy provided a straightforward and affordable quote up front for the work.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

With the website development, all I had to do was list my tasks needed in a word document and very few questions were needed after that to get everything completed quickly and successfully.

With the branded template design, I worked directly with the project manager to get multiple rounds of revisions which they graciously provided until producing the deliverable we were happy with.

I worked directly with only one project manager who was very helpful.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our company loves our new branded design templates, and our website is now functioning properly in all areas.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager has been very easy to get in contact with to ask questions, as well as has been flexible about receiving payment per our company protocols.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really like how our project manager keeps it real with me and gives me insights into other issues related to our hosting that are not contracted by them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the future when asking for things like templates, I will just be more specific regarding needed file types to minimize differences between program versions.
