**Build software people actually pay for.**
**Designli helps non-technical founders turn software into real, revenue-generating businesses.**

Most agencies hand over code and walk away, leaving you to **build the business yourself.** We work differently, measuring our success by your traction - real users on a live product and real signs that the business is growing.

Every engagement is built around a **guaranteed outcome**:

- **For founders starting from scratch**, our TractionLab program puts a real user on a working Version 1 within 30 days, or your next month is free. From there, the whole team works to turn that first user into many, and early usage into real revenue.
- **For founders who already have something live**, we start with a free one-week Impact Week that pinpoints exactly what's holding your product back. You walk away with a customized plan and a guaranteed Day-30 outcome that clears those roadblocks, so you can get back to chasing traction and your vision instead of fighting your product.

**The burden is on us to prove we're the right partner.** Picking a software development agency is one of the most important decisions you'll make as a founder, and we don't think that risk should fall entirely on you. **That's why your first 14 days are fully refundable, and you can cancel any time with 30 days' notice.**

We work using **Hypothesis-Driven Development**. Building software is cheaper than ever with AI-empowered engineers; the hard part is knowing what to build and whether it worked. So every change we make carries a business metric and a clear bet about what it should move, and we measure whether it actually did. The result is a real feedback loop on whether your product is getting better each week and driving more usage and revenue.

Each engagement is staffed with a small, senior pod that gives your product **full-time focus** and **founder-level care**, and is paid on **outcomes, not promises**. Learn more at https://designli.co

""Working with Designli has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CIO at National Trench Safety LLC, a specialty rental company in the construction industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We needed help with building our customer portal.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked together with Designli to build a customer portal. They led the entire process, handling the development, design, and deployment of the platform. This also included wireframing. Their team used Angular for the frontend and built a serverless backend using AWS.

The portal has already been launched, and their team is currently helping us implement several features.

What is the team composition?

We work with around 10 people from their team, including a project manager and front- and backend developers.

How did you come to work with Designli?

We found them through online research. We wanted to work with a company that could handle both the development and design aspects of our project, and Designli seemed to be the most suitable option based on our requirements.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2022, and our partnership is still ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The portal they’ve created has an intuitive design, so we’ve been able to roll it out to many customers without having to teach them on how to use it. It’s also worth noting that they’ve managed to build a working product from scratch within an aggressive timeline.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done an excellent job in this regard. We use Basecamp as our project management tool.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their work is excellent. We’ve really enjoyed every aspect of our collaboration; they’re really good people and good at what they do.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

I can’t think of anything — working with Designli has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

**Feedback Summary**: Designli has delivered a quality MVP that meets the client's expectations. The team is highly responsive and has fixed all the bugs the client has found. Moreover, Designli is highly adaptive and has a deep understanding of the client's business model, enabling them to deliver a fitting solution.
""Designli appreciates what we’re trying to build and the importance of it.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the CEO of Hux Safety Solutions. We do confined space rescue teams and safety training for the industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We needed help designing and delivering the MVP of our patent-pending LMS website.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? We’ve had multiple meetings to discuss our vision and the implications of what this platform will do. We’ve explained to Designli that the platform needs to be built in a modular way so that we can add to it as it gets built out through several phases. We’re currently in the first phase, and we’re internally testing the platform. What is the team composition? We work with a six-person development team. We also work with Tyler, who has been working with me from the start to build the quotes and put everything together for the scope of work. We also meet with some of his management staff. Additionally, we meet with a customer service representative monthly to track how things are going and report back to the team. How did you come to work with Designli?I found Designli through AI. I use Copilot quite regularly through my Microsoft 365. When I started figuring it was time to look for a development team, I asked the Copilot who could handle this, and Designli was the top recommendation. How much have you invested with them? We’ve spent around $250,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working with Designli in October 2025, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We’ve been working on the platform this week, and the feedback has been very positive. Designli has quickly rectified the bugs we’ve identified, and the platform is working as we want it to. The few bugs that need solving will result in a finished product that meets our expectations. Designli has exceeded my expectations. How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint? We had an overage of time and money, but I can’t blame Designli for that because neither they nor I had ever done this before, and we didn't understand the scope of what we wanted to build. The team has been more than willing to absorb the majority of the costs by adding team members. After they delivered the MVP, instead of charging me for the maintenance fee, they offered it for free for a couple of months. We’re probably 2–3 weeks into that, and they’ve come through with that. They’re meeting us daily and fixing all the bugs we find while delivering a quality product. We use Basecamp for communication. We also have Zoom meetings, emails, and occasional phone calls. What did you find most impressive about them?Designli’s ability to adapt is impressive. They’ve been able to take what’s in my head and get it to them so they can understand it. It’s been a massive undertaking, and they’ve handled it really well. Designli has asked the right questions to get to where someone who had no clue what my business model looked like could understand it. Then, they began to grasp the scope and importance of the build. Moreover, it doesn’t seem like it’s just a job to get a dollar. Designli appreciates what we’re trying to build and the importance of it; that in itself is impressive. Are there any areas they could improve?I can’t think of anything for Designli to improve.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Plan on an overage if you have a big scope. That way, you can run your budget better. Probably, general website design and similar projects could be easier, but if you have a big project, you should consider it ahead. I had a little contingency in mind, and I used every bit of it.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We needed help with design solutions and implementing a mobile app and website for our end client.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Designli is developing our end client's mobile app and website from scratch. We started with a discovery phase where we set high-level requirements, and Designli has been responsible for the UX/UI design and frontend development. They've answered our questions and been patient. They've been working with me the way I like to work, so it's been very good. Enrique is always polite, and I encourage him to talk with me instead of being a yes-man.What did you find most impressive about them? We've been impressed with their flexibility and responsiveness to our needs and feedback. Are there any areas they could improve? We could've handled the requirements better, such as digging deeper into what would be needed. The requirements I wrote up were very vague. However, we had a very full schedule, so we couldn't have gone much deeper than we did. We needed more guidance to elicit more requirements.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Be clear about what you want going in and communicate it. Don't be vague.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the founder of a nonprofit.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We needed a team to build a prototype of our app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Designli has been developing the prototype of our app. The app is intended for both iOS and Android platforms. The team has also been creating the logo and the app's layout, including its colors and design. Moreover, they've been giving suggestions and working with me on the design. At the beginning of the project, the team had brainstorming sessions to narrow down and prioritize the features we wanted. We've also walked through the features to see if we can make them work, and if the costs are within the budget. For example, something with a database or AI adoption might be a little more expensive, and they've clued us in on that.Additionally, the team has been mindful of HIPAA issues. They haven't rendered an opinion either way, but they've aimed for it to be our front and center. What is the team composition? We've had Keith, Tyler, and our developer and designer. More people are behind the scenes, but I've only met with them over Zoom. How did you come to work with Designli?I found Designli through online searching. I did a good amount of research and saw the reviews on Clutch. I went back and researched more in detail; if I saw anything, I tried to trace it back. I interviewed 4–5 different companies, and Designli was head and shoulders above everybody else. Their responses and approach were head and shoulders above everybody else. How much have you invested with them? We've spent $13,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in September 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Designli's work has been outstanding. Even when, on the few things where we've had a hiccup, if I've talked to Keith, he's been very responsive and taken care of it. There haven't been any bad surprises, only good surprises. The team has done everything they said they would, and I haven't been blindsided at any moment. How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?Designli has been very responsive and on time. They've clarified what we're going to do at each moment. They've also clarified what we will work on with each session before our meetings. They've ensured that we know what we're working towards, identified what we need to do, and explained the decision process. Overall, the project management has been run effectively. Moreover, the team has been very clear about the costs. There are no hidden costs, and they've been clear about what they'll do and the timeframe. There have been no surprises along the way, which I appreciate because it's super important when you're sticking to a budget.Additionally, we've had access to everything throughout the engagement. We have progress visibility using Figma and Basecamp and communicate via Google Meet and Zoom. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? Our designer and developer has been phenomenal. Additionally, Tyler has also been excellent, walking me through the initial phase and pointing out what I can expect. Lastly, Keith has also been outstanding. He's contacted me after the fact to make sure I'm satisfied.Additionally, we've been trying to work through some things, and he's taken care of them. He has ensured we're pleased, we have everything ready, and our results are prepared the way we want. He's been very responsive every step of the way. What did you find most impressive about them?Designli has been great. They've been very responsive, and we've had access to everything. Also, Keith has said that they want us 100% happy and that they want us to be able to meet with our investors, which has been our goal from the beginning, and I appreciate that. Are there any areas they could improve? There's nothing they can do better. They've addressed everything immediately and haven't left anything to chance. They don't just leave our requests hanging out there. They actually take care of them. Keith has had phone calls with us and has taken care of it. We've had conversations about this, and he has followed up. They've addressed and changed what we've been concerned about. And so, I think there hasn't been anything they could have done better because they've addressed everything.Do you have any advice for potential customers?I wish I had the process written down with my notes before the meetings. I've shared some things but could have been more efficient with it.

Designli met the project's schedule and was responsive via Google Meet, collaborating via Figma and Basecamp.
""We were amazed once we received the deliverables because Designli went the extra mile.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the co-founder of Behind the Scenes, a new startup that will offer a journaling social media app called iScream. We're located in Kenya and are in the process of registering the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We needed a recognized company to help us develop our app's prototype to go to the next phase of the project, which is fundraising.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Designli helped us develop a prototype for our app. We decided to embark on their two-week solution lab, which consisted of two weeks of intense work to create our app's clickable prototype. The final product will be a web app, but Designli delivered a prototype for mobile. Our interaction with the team was mainly related to the features of the app and the prototype. The technology behind the prototype is Figma and Node.js. The app was essentially a thought bank where users could stream their ideas and also approach and create communities based on their niche interests. The app had two sides: a space for personal journaling and a social media side. In addition, Designli also drafted the app's logo and visual identity based on its function, proposing ideas for the logo. What is the team composition? We started working with two people, including Designli's CEO, Keith. Then we worked with a manager and the technical team, overall, 3-4 teammates, including Francisco, Raul, Daniel, and JesusHow did you come to work with Designli? We researched companies online. Designli caught our attention for many reasons, such as their portfolio and the two-week solution lab, which we found very convenient and interesting. We asked Designli for a quotation and started engaging with them. We liked their approach to clients and felt we were in safe hands. How much have you invested with them?We spent $13,800.What is the status of this engagement? We signed the agreement with Designli in August 2024 and started working with them in September 2024. The core of the work was compacted in two weeks, and we had some final meetings in the first week of October 2024.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We were amazed once we received the deliverables because Designli went the extra mile. The team adjusted some design elements according to our last comments. Designli delivered two prototypes: one for the main flow and the other for a specific feature of our app. We weren't expecting that because it was extra work, and the team delivered design files and UI screens.Overall, Designli's work quality was efficient, focused, and meaningful. The team contributed to the prototype design and the app's idea. We had interesting and fruitful conversations. Designli's team was composed of young people and one senior person, offering a vibrant environment. We enjoyed our experience because of the teammates' different backgrounds. How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?Designli was super efficient and worked according to the schedule. After each meeting, we had input and more material to revise in less than 24 hours. We had virtual meetings via Google Meet 2–3 times weekly and exchanged emails. We were given access to Figma to comment and add things and collaborated via Basecamp. What did you find most impressive about them? What made Designli stand out was their efficiency, creativity, and passion. The deliverables and outputs were of extremely high quality. Are there any areas they could improve?I can't think of anything for the team to improve.Do you have any advice for potential customers?I recommend Designli's two-week solution lab because it provides good value for money. You’ll end up with a valuable prototype that you can use for your next phase.

Designli is very organized and communicates effectively via email, Google Meet, and Zoom. The team meets project management's expectations.
"“Designli has been extremely communicative, open, and transparent with all questions and communications.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the president of a defense contractor company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We needed a team to walk us through the procedures and costs for a customizing app development project.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? We've discussed our needs and the app's functionality with Designli. The team has asked clarifying questions to narrow down what they needed to know to develop our needs. We've had various calls over a couple of weeks, refining and defining all the things we needed. Designli has ultimately given us the plan and the breakdown of the app, including how it would look, what it would cost, and how long it would take to develop it if we moved forward.Designli has the capacity to develop the app, but we haven't moved forward due to funding issues on our side. The app is a field-customizable warehousing application. Employees can create custom forms, checklists, and inspection processes and then complete those as necessary based on the job description. We're still communicating with Designli to redefine some of the scope. The full custom solution is out of our price range, so we're talking to them about modifying some of the things we don't necessarily need and figuring out if we can find something that works within our budget. What is the team composition? We've worked with 5–6 people from Designli, including their CEO. Around four team members have worked on the design. How did you come to work with Designli? One of our employees found them. He was tasked with finding a service provider and spoke to different groups, and Designli met our needs. How much have you invested with them? We've spent around $13,000–$14,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in April 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Designli has given us a plan that meets our goals as described. The work's quality meets our expectations. How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?Designli is very organized and on top of things. Our communication is very effective and efficient via email and Google Meet and Zoom meetings. Designli has done everything we expect from a project management standpoint. What did you find most impressive about them?I've worked with different types of contractors, and Designli has been extremely communicative, open, and transparent with all questions and communications throughout the process. That was highly beneficial and appreciated. Are there any areas they could improve?I can't think of anything Designli can improve on; they've been good throughout the process.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Be as descriptive as possible. Designli is trying to give you what you need and want, and the only way they can do that is for you to be clear and descriptive. The team is good at asking questions to pull out the needed data because we had a hard time explaining it. What we do and what they do is different, and we were trying to translate our needs for them to understand. Designli is good at asking the right questions.

**Feedback Summary**: While it’s too early to report on any metrics, the client has been pleased with the project’s progress — they’re about to move on to the design implementation phase. Designli does a great job of always meeting deadlines and sticking to the budget. Their responsiveness has been exceptional.
""Designli’s work has met our expectations.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there. Our company is BDV Solutions, and we use our immigration program to source foreign laborers for entry-level jobs in US companies. We sold a part of the company, but I’m still one of the owners of the remaining part.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We wanted to design an app that would attract people around the world who are interested in immigrating to the US. To that end, we needed to determine whether the strategy we seek to use to achieve this is digitally viable.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Designli is helping us design the UI/UX of our app. Essentially, the app would help users determine the best visa strategy for their respective circumstances. Their team is working on the design framework and developing the proof of concept. What is the team composition? We usually work with five people from Designli, including an engineer, a UI/UX designer, and a data person. There’s also probably 2–3 more people helping out from their side. How did you come to work with Designli?I’m an investor in a local company that worked with Designli several times before. The founder of that company recommended them to me, saying that their team was very organized and straightforward to work with. How much have you invested with them?So far, we’ve invested around $10,000–$20,000 in this project. The overall project budget is probably around $500,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working with Designli in June 2024, and our engagement is ongoing. We’re hoping to have a beta version of our app by the end of the year.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**

We recently just finished the design phase and are now trying to determine if we can start implementing the design. How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint? They’ve delivered everything on time and within budget. In most instances, they’re the ones waiting for my feedback rather than me waiting on them. We’ve had in-person meetings with their team, but we mainly communicate through Microsoft Teams. For managing tasks, they use Bubble. What did you find most impressive about them? We’re most impressed with Designli’s responsiveness and timeliness. Are there any areas they could improve?I have no complaints about Designli at all. Everything’s been going the way they said it would.  Do you have any advice for future clients of theirsBased on our experience, it would be helpful to make yourself and your team more available to them.

**The Review** — Aug 8, 2024

**Feedback Summary**: Designli delivered a great prototype that met the client's expectations, allowing them to use it as part of their sales pitch. The team was timely, highly responsive, and very communicative via phone, text messaging, and Zoom. Moreover, their collaborative and personable approach stood out.
""Designli was always on time and responded to any of my questions within 24 hours.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the founder of CORRail, a railway software technology company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We hired Designli to develop a software product that my company came up with.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Designli helped us develop a web-based software app we had ideated. Following our outline, their team took the railway network and used its GPS coordinates and mileposts to develop a prototype. As for the technology stack, they used Figma and integrated different plug-ins.The features for the final product will include notifications, GPS coordinates, and milepost labels using mapping technology. It'll also have a toggle feature, allowing users to use toggle buttons to configure their choices. The app will also have a number of updates, so we'll keep it up to date automatically through dates and locations. What is the team composition? We had four or five different teammates from Designli (designers and developers) who were part of all of our conversations, and everyone worked together to build this platform. How did you come to work with Designli?I originally found them online. We used them in the past for another project that we never finished, so this was the second time I hired them. When I originally approached Designli, I knew that I wanted to work with a South Carolina-based firm and found some type of review about them, so I contacted them. How much have you invested with them?We spent about $25,000.What is the status of this engagement? We worked together on this project from June–August 2024. However, I'm going to contract Designli again to develop the full product.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Designli successfully delivered the prototype for this project, as well as the outline and blueprints for the final product. Overall, the quality of the prototype met our expectations. We're still in negotiations with potential customers. Our original idea was to use this prototype as part of our sales pitch, sell it to our customers, and then develop it.How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?Designli was always on time and responded to any of my questions within 24 hours. Moreover, they were consistent with the deliverables, and they completed each one before the next meeting. We had weekly phone calls and, at times, even almost daily phone calls to talk about the process. I even had phone and text conversations with the owner, and we had Zoom calls as well. What did you find most impressive about them?I've only worked with another potential provider who didn't exactly do what Designli did. Still, the main difference between Designli and that person was the one-on-one collaboration with Designli's owner. As mentioned, we even had text conversations. Are there any areas they could improve?I can't think of anything Designli could have improved on.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?Have a detailed plan around your vision and present as much information to Designli as you can. A lot of the most interesting parts of this project were discussed before we even discussed hiring them.

**Feedback Summary**: The client is happy with Designli’s work. The team has been helpful in identifying possible issues in the app and finding solutions. They’re organized and facilitate regular meetings to keep the client informed about their work. They ask plenty of questions and are attentive to the client’s needs.
"“They’re truly professional and have a streamlined and top-notch approach to the project.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the founder of an AI storage startup that’s over half a year old.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?I hired Designli to design the UI/UX of a mobile app for Android and iOS.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Designli helped me design the app's overall look and workflow. We met twice weekly for about an hour to discuss the app’s visuals and fonts. We also discussed the minute details of how a user might use the app, what problems they might encounter, and how to overcome them. Currently, we’re in talks of getting Designli’s full stack developers to connect the app’s front- and backend. However, we still have to plan a few other things, such as the marketing and Kickstarter campaign. For technologies, we’re using non-generative AI and computer vision technologies with multi-modal components. For features and functionality, the app’s premise is to help users remember where they put things. Users can take photos or videos of what they’re putting away, and the app will automatically identify the item. For instance, if a user wants to go hiking, the app will identify items they might need for the hike and show the items’ locations. How much have you invested with them? We’ve paid around $20,700 for the app’s design. What is the status of this engagement?I met some of Designli’s representatives in March 2024 and started doing a bit of work in April 2024. The engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We have an idea of how we want to design and build the app, but Designli has been great at determining possible issues and finding workarounds. It’s great to have them working on the app; their insights have been useful. The app’s UI/UX design would be quite different if we tried to build it from scratch without the Designli team. How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?Designli’s project management is great. We always have weekly meetings, and we have to reschedule them from time to time, but this isn’t a problem because they’re truly attentive. They always ask many questions and seek more details to fully understand what I need. This helps them execute tasks properly—their developers even join many of our meetings. They remain patient even if our meetings go for over an hour.In terms of tools, they use Basecamp and Otter.ai to ensure we have all the transcripts and recordings of our meetings. What did you find most impressive about them?Designli is attentive and listens well to our needs. They’re truly professional and have a streamlined and top-notch approach to the project. Are there any areas they could improve? This isn’t a major problem, but it would be better if they could let me know earlier — such as a day or so — if we have to reschedule meetings. Since I’m building a new app, I have to jump here and there.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Check the meetings’ transcripts and ask yourself if you’ve missed anything. Write some notes and bring them up in the next meeting. This is important if you’re developing an app that looks fairly simple on the surface but is complicated underneath.

**The Review** — May 24, 2024

**Feedback Summary**: Designli delivered a prototype that far exceeded the client's expectations. The team was able to translate the client's ideas and improve upon them to create a spectacular result. Moreover, they were experienced, accommodating to the client's schedule, and communicated well via email and Basecamp.
""The amount of experience and detail that they were able to add was invaluable.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.Lincoln Brannick: I’m the owner and CEO of Local Rentz, a peer-to-peer rental marketplace for all types of things, not just places to stay.Reese Null: I'm the CTO of the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?LB: We had an idea for an app. Our goal was to create an entire ecosystem for people to rent anything between each other easily. Thus, we hired Designli to help us create a prototype that would lead to an MVP in the future.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?LB: Designli helped us create a prototype for our app. Additionally, they helped us organize our ideas and things we hadn't thought of before. They had done these projects more times than us, as this was our first time creating an app, so they were able to provide us with insight regarding what we should look at. They also brought their own ideas to the table.RN: After we contacted Designli, we first started scheduling meetings and communicating with each other to discuss and work on the project.LB: Our platform features a search engine that allows users to find items that can be rented near them. The search bar also has filters. Moreover, we have a local map where users can look for those items as well. The platform also has extremely well-designed user profiles.RN: In addition to those features, Designli helped us create a reviews feature for the prototype. An app like ours will rely heavily on trust, so a very helpful thing was making the reviews feature easy and transparent for both sides, owners and renters. What is the team composition?LB: We worked with a total of nine teammates from Designli, including Diego (Web Developer), two product designers, another developer, Joshua (Co-Founder & COO), and Ignacio (Product Owner), who pushed the project forward. Keith (CEO) also touched base with us multiple times to see how the project was going. Moreover, their director of operations kept everything on schedule and on pace. Overall, there were a lot of teammates helping. How did you come to work with Designli?LB: We found them through a Google search when we were looking for app developers. On multiple websites, Designli was one of the number one recommended companies. How much have you invested with them?LB: We spent around $13,500.What is the status of this engagement?LB: We started working with them around March 2024, and the project was completed in April 2024. However, they'll continue to help us with the next phases; we're still planning future work for them.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?RN: The prototype that Designli created for us was far more than what we were expecting. It will help us credibly with our journey forward.LB: Although we don't have metrics yet, I would like to speak to the quality of Designli's work. I knew what our prototype was in our minds, but Designli made it much more than a reality. They made the prototype better than we had imagined, so the end product was spectacular. How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?LB: Nothing was truly unexpected to us, and there was no confusion. They really worked around our schedule to the best of their possibilities.RN: Both of our schedules were a bit wonky at times, so it was difficult to schedule meetings. Still, Designli made it unbelievably easy for us. They even went out of their way and scheduled meetings out of office hours for them to talk to us. During those meetings, a lot of the project details came out, and they gave us a lot of knowledge, which was extremely appreciated.RN: Moreover, they communicated well, so we knew when everything was going to be done. We mainly communicated via email, but we also used Basecamp. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?RN: The whole Designli team did a lot of work, but I would like to give a shout-out to Ignacio. He was essential to a lot of our ideas and design thought processes throughout the engagement. We wouldn't have had the same prototype if he hadn't been on the team. What did you find most impressive about them?LB: I consider Designli's biggest strength to be their experience. Although we had an idea about what we wanted, we didn't know a lot about this process. Thus, the amount of experience and detail that they were able to add was invaluable. Are there any areas they could improve?RN: I can’t think of anything Designli could’ve done better.LB: I can't think of any areas of improvement either. They were truly top-notch and blew our minds.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?LB: Be open and transparent with them. They want to help you, so they need to understand where you want to go. The more information you can give them, the better.

The team makes the client feel comfortable with good communication about budgets. Designli delivers work on time and on budget, collaborates via Basecamp, and communicates via Gmail.
""They're an asset to any company that chooses to use their services.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the founder of a software company that is designed to get rid of lines at sporting events and concerts.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We wanted to build a mobile application for online ordering with window pick-up for food, beverage, and merchandising at concerts, festivals, and sporting events.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? The first thing we did after meeting Designli's team was set up a two-week sprint, a series of meetings where a software design team was allocated to us and spent two weeks building a skeleton mock-up of our app. During this time, the team asked many questions and did project thinking during those meetings, and through that work, the team came up with a framework for the app development that was created over the months following that two-week sprint. We use Figma frequently. The team is working on the development of an iOS and Android application. What is the team composition? We're working with 4–6 teammates from Designli, including Ignacio (Product Owner) and Keith (Co-Founder & CEO). We've worked mostly with three team members full-time, and other teammates have been in and out of some meetings. How did you come to work with Designli?I found Designli through a Google search. We'll be climbing monthly moving forward. What is the status of this engagement? We've been working with Designli since November 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? The entire Designli team has done a fantastic job. Designli has opened up my way of thinking to facilitate new ideas and bring them into reality. The team has thought of things I didn't know I needed. Overall, I'm satisfied with Designli's work ethic and products. How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?Designli delivers work on time and on budget. Designli communicates perfectly and is always on time for meetings. Project management is top-notch and exactly what I was looking for. We operate through Gmail as an email system, collaborate via Basecamp, and our website operates in Squarespace. What did you find most impressive about them? The most impressive aspect of Designli is that they make the client feel comfortable. This is a big expenditure; we're only about $20,000 in, but we could easily reach the $200,000 mark. The team makes me feel comfortable and confident, and I think that's their biggest asset. Are there any areas they could improve?I can't think of anything Designli can improve on. My company is small, and Designli complements my team and feels like part of my employees. I'm close to the team and feel like they have my best interest in mind. Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?I suggest you follow the process, ask questions, and learn as much as you can from Designli because they're an asset to any company that chooses to use their services.

**The Review** — May 17, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: Designli successfully delivered a comprehensive UI/UX design for the app. The team also helped the client define and understand the most important features of the MVP version. Moreover, they were communicative and responsive via Zoom and MS Teams, and they were always easygoing and willing to help.
"“Designli’s work was fantastic. They had incredible communication, and I constantly received updates.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the founder and CEO of Bottle Titan. We put traceability on the alcoholic beverages supply chain, so we trace wine, liquor, and beer shipments globally.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli? We needed help with UI/UX design for a customer platform, so we hired Designli.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Designli helped us map out and design the UI/UX and functionality of a platform for our customers. The project also included blueprint design, flowchart development, and two sprint cycles of graphic design. As for the technology stack, they used Figma for the designs. As for the app’s core features, it has maps and charts for tracking a shipment delivery. Moreover, Designli created algorithms with variables such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and light. What is the team composition? We worked with 4–5 teammates from Designli. How did you come to work with Designli? They were recommended by a mentor of mine. When I met the Designli team, I thought that they had something special and that the value they offered seemed incredible for what they would deliver. How much have you invested with them?We spent around $17,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working together around July 2022, and it took Designli three months to complete the project.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? When I started this project, I didn’t have anything — I didn’t know where to go and what to do. We didn’t have any documentation, and as a non-technical founder, I didn’t have a clear idea of what the project entailed.Still, Designli rolled up their sleeves and understood the intricacies of what needed to be delivered to the customer. The fact that I now have a fully designed UI and a functionality chart is a very successful result. Having those designs took a lot of weight off my shoulders. On top of that, Designli did an extremely good job of narrowing down the most important features of the app’s MVP. Of course, I wanted to implement everything I had in mind, but I had a limited budget. Designli did a very good job of working with me and helping me understand which features were necessary and which ones could be added to version two and version three of the app.How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?Designli’s work was fantastic. They had incredible communication, and I constantly received updates on what they were working on and what they had completed. Additionally, they were always very quick to respond to my questions. We communicated via email, phone, Zoom, and Microsoft (MS) Teams, and we also used a project management tool for this project, but I don’t remember the name. What did you find most impressive about them?Designli was very easy to talk to and willing to help. Are there any areas they could improve?I can’t think of anything Designli could have improved on — they did a very good job.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Tell them exactly what your needs are, and trust that they’ll sort through those needs and help you as if they were part of your team.

""We have really enjoyed working with Designli.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there. We are developing a solution based app for locating medical supplies. I am a co-founder.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Designli, and what were your goals? We wanted to develop a simplified but professional app for locating medical supplies.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors? After researching app development companies we narrowed it down to three companies. After the first meeting we decided that Designli answered all of our questions and we were confident that they could bring our vision to life.Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.We had a meeting to discuss the goals and features of the app. Katie sent a recap then we scheduled the SolutionLab. The SolutionLab was exhausting but incredibly insightful and helped us narrow down our key features, i.e., smartwatch, voice to text search, etc.. Katie then sent the roadmap and user profiles and after a few tweaks we moved on to the graphic design phase. We are finishing the design and prototype phase to now move on to the development of the app.How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?Katie is our project manager and has been so great to keep us updated on every step of the process. We have also worked with the design team but that phase has wrapped up so we will move on to the development team.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables? We do not have any measurables yet but every step so far has been very thorough and we are confident in the next steps and final product.Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness. Our project manager has been so great to work with. She is one step ahead of us and has been so thorough and helpful with all of the smaller details that we did not think about. What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?Their development expertise. As we were working through the functions of the app, Keith could quickly answer our questions and give an estimate of how much the feature would add to the price of development. That allowed us to quickly decide on if it was needed and allowed us to move to the next step. Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently? No need for improvement. We have really enjoyed working with Designli.

**The Review** — Dec 14, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The client is satisfied with Designli’s performance. They stand out for their communication skills, high product quality, and competitive price. The team adds value, solves problems effectively, and is transparent and great to work with. They communicate through Basecamp, emails, and texts.
"“They’ve delivered and communicated well throughout each project step.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of an educational app that provides social and emotional development tools for neurodivergent children.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We had a therapeutic method with in-person tools that we were trying to translate into a mobile app that provided content asynchronously.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli is our partner for mobile app design and development. We’ve been through different project stages, and they’ve broken up each phase into clear deliverables. Each deliverable has to be approved before moving on to the next step.

The app has interactive video content that kids can watch with their parents; their choices determine which educational content they’ll be served. Designli has used Flutter and React to make the app cross-platform.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked consistently with 3–5 people. We were initially in touch with the co-founder and a project manager. Then, they handed us to a project manager, software engineers, and a designer.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I found them through Clutch. I listed 15 firms that I liked and called all of them. I tried to get a vast network of people, but we ultimately chose Designli.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $45,000–$50,000 so far. In total, the entire project will be around $70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2022, and our relationship is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We look at the development process instead of KPIs. Designli has been great at helping us solve problems. Moreover, they’ve delivered and communicated well throughout each project step.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Basecamp, emails, and texts to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their strengths are communication, product quality, and price. They deliver high-quality products and are great to work with. Moreover, the team is transparent, and we get value from their developers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I honestly don’t know if they could improve something; I have nothing but good things to say about them. If anything, we could be better clients.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be upfront, transparent, and clear to save time. Trust is always a component when you work with firms. You might want to avoid giving them too much information because you’re afraid they’ll take advantage of you. However, we actually felt that disclosing our budget and what we wanted to do helped us get the most out of the engagement.

I’m an administrator at Behind The Knife, a surgical education platform company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We wanted to create a log-in feature for our website and also build Android and iOS apps where our users could consume our products.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli is building custom e-learning web and mobile platforms for us, which are focused on advanced education. We're currently finishing the project's discovery, design, and prototype stages, and we're about to start the development phase. In terms of functionalities, we've asked them for individualized log-in features for the website and the app, along with the integration of our premium products, like video, audio, text, and image files. It's important for us that our users can see our products on a user-friendly platform that looks cool and doesn't feel like they're just taking a class.

So far, they've created a clickable prototype for us, which is nice because we can play with it and see what we like and can change.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with around six members of their team, including a project manager, a developer, a designer, Keith (CEO), and Joshua (COO).

How did you come to work with Designli?

I found them through Clutch. We did have other potential partners, but Designli were quick to respond in our initial meetings, and they also had good reviews on Clutch, so they seemed legit.

How much money have you invested in this partnership?

So far, we've spent $650,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2022, and the engagement is ongoing. We're about to enter into a year-long commitment with them with three full-time developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Designli has exceeded our expectations; our project is complex, and we came to them with a lot of ideas, but they’ve been able to understand our needs and are building a fantastic design with an organized and user-friendly interface.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

We do project management through Basecamp, and it’s fantastic in terms of meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and communicating. Their team sends frequent updates on the process and lets us know how many hours they’ve been working on us, so we’re always aware of every step. Moreover, their ability to schedule meetings is impressive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is knowledgeable, friendly, easy to communicate with, responsive, and dedicated to every step of the process. Moreover, they commit to learning and understanding our business to provide professional suggestions, showing that they care about us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

**The Review** — Oct 10, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Designli has been really helpful in guiding the client and the app in the right direction. The team excels at project management; they constantly follow up with the client and answer questions promptly and thoroughly. Moreover, they’re easy to work with, professional, and knowledgeable.
"“Each and every member of their team is pleasant to engage with.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an individual with an idea for a mobile application and the owner of this soon-to-be product.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

I hired Designli to vet, design, and develop my mobile application.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli is developing a mobile application for me. Initially, I had a complicated idea that wasn't doable with iOS. Designli broke down the idea into what I was trying to accomplish and its benefits. Together, we've developed a simplified approach that works across Android and iOS. The team has designed a logo and prototype using Figma and done some work on the app's first page. Although I have an estimate on when they're taking the prototype to full development, I haven't taken that step yet.

The app is a photo organization platform for professional work and special interest photos. Users will be able to keep images separate from their phone gallery when trying to take or share them within a professional context. This solution will keep work-related photos from clogging up users' galleries and getting lost or untagged.

What is the team composition?

For the initial meetings and brainstorming, I worked with three teammates from Designli. Once we decided to move forward, I started working with a fourth contact. I've also worked with an individual overseas that I believe Designli contracted to do some of the grunt work in the prototype design.

How did you come to work with Designli?

When looking for providers, I didn't really know where to go with what I was trying to do, and I had a couple of appointments with people who couldn't do this for me. Although it took me a little time to hunt around and find someone, eventually, a friend recommended Designli — that's how I got in touch with them.

How much have you invested in them?

I've spent about $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I began working with them in January 2022, and our partnership is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Designli has helped me figure out the right direction for my app. Since the product isn’t live yet, I don’t have any quantitative metrics.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve performed very well in terms of project management. The team is very good at following up and being thorough when answering my questions, and they reply to them within the same day. Moreover, each and every member of their team is pleasant to engage with.

We use Google Meet for our video conferences and Basecamp for project management. Additionally, the app’s prototype is available through Figma.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Designli is an excellent team that’s young, professional, and knowledgeable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re doing very well. If I had any complaint, it would be that they’re a little expensive. However, there isn’t an easy way to shop for this type of service.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If anyone is looking for this type of service, Designli is on point.

Make sure to provide a good idea of what it is that you want from them.

I’m the owner of Earth Technology Integration, LLC. We’re a software and tech services company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We were working with a development company but weren’t satisfied with their work, so we wanted to bring in a different team to help us develop and design our existing sites and add additional features.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Deisgnli has been doing software and web development and design for us. We started by having an introductory call with them about our previous work and what we were looking for specifically. The product is a software site that would help manage firefighting mobilization personnel.

They created the platform from scratch using React and TypeScript, including the mock-ups, review implementation, design, and development according to our requirements.

In terms of functionalities, the site helps us reach and manage other firefighting personnel in neighboring counties for extra resources and equipment. It also sends email notifications to fire chiefs across the state that contains a link with a response form to tender their offers if they can. On the firefighter coordinator side, it has an interface to review those offers, partially or fully accept them, or decline the offer.

Currently, we now have two engineers from their team working full-time on our projects.

What is the team composition?

We’ve been working with Josh (COO), Katie (Business Analyst), a UI designer, and a couple of software developers.

How did you come to work with Designli?

We were doing research and found multiple companies. We chose Designli because they were local and thought it’d be an interesting option. Also, we like what we saw on their site.

How much money have you invested in this partnership?

So far, we’ve spent around $70,000 with them.

We started working together in November 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re pleased with their work and want to expand the work with them because they’ve done such a great job. Overall, everything’s top-notch because their team quickly reacts to our concerns in a collaborative approach.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done a great job with project management — they come in with conservative deadlines and budgets. Communication is great; we have webinars two times a week, and they call me periodically to ensure everything’s going well. This is very refreshing and distinguishes them from other providers.

Regarding tools, we use Basecamp to post messages and questions to each other.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our team is impressed with the coding organization and readability. Also, their technology is spot-on, and they’ve ramped up our existing projects — it’s been nice to work with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure to communicate your needs upfront; they’re meticulous in their details, so the more information you give them, the easier it will be for them to deliver a quality product.

Designli's website was something that stood out to us as they have a lot of great information that helped us understand the process before getting started. The "Success Stories" section on their website also stood out to me as I was able to see real examples of work they had done in the past for other companies.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of this work includes the following:

Kick-off Meeting | This is where we got to meet the Designli team virtually to determine if this was a good fit for us and to explain high-level what we were trying to accomplish
SoultionLab | This step included a lengthy video call with several members from our team as well as Designli's team. During this call we got into the specifics and details of everything that we were looking for. During this process Designli really took the time to understand our company and how things current run when it comes to dart leagues. Together during this phase we came up with solutions on how this app with increase the experience of our dart players
UX Document Review | After SolutionLab, Designli's team put together a detailed and thorough document that outlined exactly how this app will work. The document included all features available on the player/dart side, along with information and details on how the platform will work on the backend with our employees and dart coordinators. During this process, our team would review the document, add comments and feedback and Designli would make revisions to the document. After several revisions on our end, we finalized the document and moved onto the graphic design and prototype phase
Graphic Design & Prototype | In this phase, Designli sent the finalized UX Document to their team of very talented designers who brought the app to life using a prototyping platform. This platform allowed us to see exactly how the app was laid out and we were able to add comments and feedback directly to this platform that were sent to the design team. Once this phase was complete, we took this prototype and began testing it with our players and employees to get their feedback.
Development & Testing | Once the graphic design and testing phases are complete, we will move into the development phase of this process where the Designli team will begin creating the app.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

As of right now, we've worked with 5 Designli team members. Keith and Josh worked us in the early stages of the process helping us outline the scope of this project. During the early stages, we also worked with Katie, who created the master UX document and handled all of the feedback and edits.

When we moved to the graphic design phase, I began to work with Taylor and Daniel. Taylor is our project coordinator and is great! She sends the team weekly updates and keeps everyone in the loop and up to speed. Daniel is Designli's designer and is VERY talented. He was able to capture the look and feel of the app by using only the UX Document.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Although we are still in the prototype/testing phase, we have received great feedback so far from our employees and dart players that have seen the prototype. Everyone is very excited to begin using this app.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

During this process, Designli uses Basecamp to communicate updates to everyone involved in the process. Taylor does a great job keeping everyone updated and on the same page. The Basecamp platform makes communicating simple and easy.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Overall the Designli team as a whole stands out to us. The team meshes very well together and working with them has been very easy. Everyone on the team takes pride in their work and is great at what they do. I would also say that Desgnli's designer Daniel is definitely a great asset the the Designli team. During the graphic design phase, he was able to visualize everything that we were wanting in an app and has helped make the platform user friendly and easy to use.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Up to this point, I can honestly say that there is nothing that I would recommend be done differently. Our experience with Designli has been very positive so far.

**The Review** — May 5, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: While the app is not yet live, it is to be expected to launch in the near future. Designli anticipated the client's needs and proactively provided alternatives for each issue. Moreover, they're open-minded, patient, and optimistic.
""They are transparent with us and proactively provide alternatives, which is greatly appreciated.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the co-founder and developer of the content for a leadership development program.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Designli, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop an app to deliver the leadership development program so it could be easily accessible to any user. We also wanted to develop a web platform for organizations to be able to access their data and insights from the individuals within their organization using the app.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We initially chose to work with Designli by searching online based on their prior work.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We began with a few meetings to examine whether Designli would be a good fit.
We did their SolutionLab phase to work through what the user story and key features of the app would be. Designli provided a final SolutionLab set of deliverables including the final user story, overview of application, various user card personas, user flow diagram, development and budgeting, and next steps.
Once established, we moved into the Graphic Design and prototyping. Their team was phenomenal at continually assessing our needs, particularly with budget and timelines, to make sure the design and prototyping fit our needs.
Currently in development stages right now. Throughout each of these steps, we set consistent meetings which were upheld and we consistently received updates including reviews, timelines, budgets, and what to expect next.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was assigned to our team who does a phenomenally well at staying in close contact when needed, providing reviews, updates, etc. We continually work closely with one of their leads who was present at each of our meetings with their design lead, and now continuing to meet with a core group of developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are in the development stage right now so we don't have measurable outcomes related to the final product. However, Designli has always delivered on the expectations provided and continues to exceed expectations as they are consistently proactive about anticipating our needs, especially with timelines and budgets, by providing alternative solutions.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Designli has been a pleasure to communicate with. Everyone we have worked with has been responsive and we receive consistent reviews and updates. Once again, they anticipate our needs by proactively providing alternatives before we reach out to them with questions. Most of our communication has been through video calls or through email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Everyone we have worked with has been patient, open-minded, and optimistic about what could be done with this project, supported by various individuals who provide their own unique skill to the project. We value how different individuals are assigned for various aspects of the project, such as setting up the user story, to design, to prototyping, and development. And perhaps most important, they have met our expectations for timelines and continue to deliver on those timelines while delivering great work.

They are transparent with us and proactively provide alternatives, which is greatly appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing up until this point.

**The Review** — Mar 17, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The platform that Designli has helped create is gaining interest from other nonprofit organizations. The team is responsive, helpful, and trustworthy, and they excel at clear communication, making projects simple. Additionally, they’re great at using limited budgets to create the best solutions.
"“They’ve been great at setting expectations, and they’ve delivered what they promised when they promised it.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work for Congregations For Kids, a nonprofit organization that works in the child welfare and foster care space. We look to provide support systems to foster parents, social workers, guardians ad litem, and other adults involved.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We needed help to develop a web platform for one of our programs. We already had a WordPress website for that program, but our goal was to eventually market our solution as a SaaS product to other nonprofit organizations. Thus, we hired Designli to help us move away from WordPress.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli has helped us develop a web platform for our program called Care Now, allowing us to move away from WordPress. On it, social workers can request emergency tangible items like a car seat, diapers, or a crib. Then, we connect those social workers with our donor base to provide them with the items they requested. This platform helps fill the gap whenever government funding takes a little too long to fill the social worker needs.

Apart from helping us with the transition, Designli has added new features to our platform to make it more functional, including backend features like a dashboard.

What is the team composition?

Initially, when we started discussing and scoping the project, we worked with Keith (Co-Founder & CEO) and two other people from his team. Since then, we’ve been working with the COO and a technical team of five people.

How did you come to work with Designli?

The person who developed our WordPress site referred us to Designli. We initially wanted to work with him due to our previous experience, but he was moving onto a different chapter of his career. However, he helped us research development companies because we trusted his expertise. When he recommended them, we trusted that they would be a good fit for us, and they turned out to be a perfect fit.

How much have you invested with them?

As a nonprofit organization, our projects rely on grants. Designli understood that perfectly and broke down the project into phases based on when we would get our funding. The first phase cost $65,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together during the third quarter of 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Different nonprofits like us around the country have been interested in our solution, which eventually will help us create a bonus revenue stream for our organization. However, we first need to package and license it to market it.

In general terms, Designli has been great to work with; they’re very helpful. They’ve been great at translating technical terms into layman’s terms, showing us our different options, and providing us with a robust yet easy-to-understand proposal. From the start, it was easy for us to know where our money would be most effectively spent. Overall, their work is very transparent, so having a trustworthy partner has been very important for us.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

Designli has been great at project management. They’re very responsive, and they hit every deadline. Additionally, they’ve been great at setting expectations, and they’ve delivered what they promised when they promised it.

Designli has also kept us updated throughout the project. We meet weekly, but they’re always available to answer questions. If we have any concerns, they get back to us within one business day, and if we find any issues or bugs, they respond within minutes and fix them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Desingli’s most impressive asset is their ability to convey what clients can do with their budget. Initially, they were great at guiding us through our options, explaining the reasoning behind them, and helping us find the best solution to make our vision a reality based on our budget.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we’re very pleased with their services, and they’ve gone above and beyond.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t hesitate to call Designli. They’re very engaging from the beginning, so don’t let the experience of reaching a development company be intimidating for you.

**The Review** — Mar 8, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The client is pleased with Designli's rapid responses and ability to interact with stakeholders of varying technical skill levels. Customers can expect a flexible partner that adapts to preferred communication styles. They are patient in answering questions and able to move quickly when required.
""Their willingness to work with a wide variety of people and skill levels with technology stands out." "

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We were founded to develop a marketing application to help service clubs, churches, and organizations of that type keep track of their members and services they perform. Our way would be easier for the average person to do than was currently available in the market.

My main position is with another company, but my employer is a part of this LLC. I’m helping them out with Designli because of my web design and development experience.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We hired them to help create our website and mobile app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve done graphic design and prototyping for our web app and mobile app.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with their CEO, their CFO, and a design resource. Taylor (Project Coordinator) and one other resource are also on the team. Taylor was added to facilitate direct communication.

How did you come to work with Designli?

We were trying to decide how best to vet design companies. I wanted to stay away from freelancer platforms because of the size of investment necessary for this project.

We’d requested references from some people, but those were more for larger corporations. My employer stumbled upon Designli, and I enjoyed both their nearby location one state over and their mid-size approach.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $24,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since April 2021. The work is paused now at the end of the prototyping phase, and we’ll most likely be bringing on another partner to produce the full applications.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They provided design links for how people will interact with the app and website. This is what got us in the door with the company we’re considering for the full development. They can click around in the prototype to get a feel for the solution.

If we had questions about how to use the prototype, Designli responded immediately. They were very responsive and flexible. The process would have gone faster if not for extensive discussions on our side, too.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They use Basecamp to communicate, along with weekly summary messages and as needed communications if there are any action items. Designli's team was flexible with our preferred live methods of communication, like phone calls or Zoom calls. They were always very attentive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their willingness to work with a wide variety of people and skill levels with technology stands out. This includes investors who don’t have a strong understanding of Basecamp. Designli was open to talking to those people over the phone. I don’t find this flexibility everywhere in the the tech industry.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Anything that needed to be changed was handled quickly. They didn’t leave us hanging.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you have people with different technological familiarities, make sure that the people in direct communication with Designli are able to ask them questions to clarify anything that is confusing, rather than dumping anything they don’t understand down on the next person down the line.

**The Review** — Feb 23, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Designli built a demonstrable prototype that enabled the client to better engage with stakeholders. The team also made the development cost-effective through their solutions-oriented scoping process. They were excellent, proactive communicators who delivered on time and within budget.
""They were excellent communicators and were very forthright around the costs, expectations, and deliverables.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a small software company that focuses on the development of productivity apps.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

I was trying to get input to determine the level of effort needed to complete a new mobile app project. I also needed an app design or a clickable prototype that I could implement.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Keith (Co-Founder & CEO) first explained to me their offering called Solution Lab, which was a perfect starting point for me. Solution Lab entailed their team listening to my vision for the app and pointing out things that I may want to consider to balance the costs. We took that approach, and the Designli team made sure that they fully understood what I was looking to do before providing the estimates.

We then went into actually developing the app for iOS and Android. The first phase involved creating a blueprint document listing all the details of the project along with a clear breakdown of the work. Once that was completed, Designli created the designs for the prototype, which is where the original idea began to take shape. I worked closely with their team to nail down the branding, UI, and overall look and feel.

What is the team composition?

I interacted with four people: Keith, Josh (COO), a project coordinator, and a graphic designer.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I found Designli online and reached out to them because they were local and had great reviews on Clutch. It was important to me that we be able to meet face-to-face, at least occasionally, throughout the project, so I chose them.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent about $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from September 2021–February 2022.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I now have a real, professional, clickable prototype that I can use to communicate the value of the app with all of my stakeholders. Designli was able to deliver everything on time and within the budget that we had established at the outset. They’ve also met all of the general benchmarks.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great at managing the project. Whether it was during our weekly updates or when they were answering my questions, their communication was exceptional and proactive. We primarily used Basecamp but we had a number of Google Meet conferences as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m not sure how they would compare to other digital product providers because they’re the first that I’ve worked with, but it’s hard to imagine that I would’ve had a better experience elsewhere. They were excellent communicators and were very forthright around the costs, expectations, and deliverables.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, none that I can think of. There were hardly any missteps.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would highly recommend working with Designli. They’re very good about guiding the client through the process.

""We’ve enjoyed every aspect of working with them, and we’re excited to continue with this partnership.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an executive at an e-learning company. We’ve created a site for custodians to be trained virtually.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We hired them for the launching of our business because we needed help with web development and consulting.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli helped us brainstorm through the whole process of turning our idea into a business — they were instrumental in thinking through the different challenges that arose for this project.

We went through a process where we sat down for a full day with their team to review everything about our business regarding what we wanted to get out of the product in the short and long term. Their team also helped us find color schemes and create a logo.

In terms of the platform development, they’ve done all the coding to put everything together.

Currently, they’ll continue to work with maintenance and future iterations.

What is the team composition?

We’ve been working with four members of their team, including one of the co-founders, a project manager, and a couple of developers.

How did you come to work with Designli?

We found them through a Google search. After looking at the website and learning about their process to do projects, I like what they offered and how they explained the whole process to us.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent $10,000–$25,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

What they’ve provided is invaluable; they’ve gone above and beyond what a typical software developer would do. I feel like they helped us go from building a skateboard to having a luxury car — the quality of the product is awesome.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve been using Basecamp, which enables them to have a good follow-up process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their hands-on approach to the process is outstanding. Also, their ability to explain things clearly to us is great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — we’ve enjoyed every aspect of working with them, and we’re excited to continue with this partnership.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take advantage of the tools they provide, communicate your needs, and allow them to give their professional input.

**The Review** — Jan 4, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Though they've yet to start the actual development, Designli’s work has proven cost-efficient in that they can quickly capture, translate, and implement any given feedback. Through open communication and a consistent reporting process, the team helps steer the project in the right direction.
""The Designli team is able to translate any idea into a technical, workable solution.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the executive director for a building materials investment company. We invest in building materials, manufacturing, operating, and joint venture companies across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and the Middle East.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We wanted to create an online marketplace where sellers, manufacturers, and buyers — like contractors, distributors, and retailers — could concisely and consistently compare different building materials in the Middle East. We also wanted this platform to give them the ability to place orders for these materials and have them delivered to their site.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We began with a number of discussions where we explained our ideas and provided Designli with supporting documentation. They helped us write up a 40-page project scope that details the build and logic of the platform. We continued to conduct weekly calls with their team to iterate on this document in greater detail.

We’ve started the development of the wireframes or the visual representation of the platform, but we are currently fine-tuning it according to the feedback of our stakeholders. Once this iterative process is done, we will be moving into actual development.

What is the team composition?

We work with three people from their side. Josh (COO) and Keith (Partner) are also very involved, and we appreciate that their senior members participate at such a detailed level. There was another person who was involved at the beginning of the project. She helped us with the scoping work.

I believe the development of the wireframe is contracted to someone based in Europe, but Josh is involved in that process. He’s always with us on the calls to make sure that the execution work goes as discussed.

How did you come to work with Designli?

They worked with one of our operating companies on a website development project, so the recommendation came from within our business. They came highly recommended, and we did a bit of our own research to compare them to others. We figured they were probably the best people to work with.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around January 2021. It’s an ongoing project.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I can’t give metrics yet because the platform hasn’t been launched, but I can say that the quality of their work has been fantastic. I think in terms of output versus expenditure, they have been incredibly efficient. It hasn’t taken too many iterations to see our thoughts reflected in the documentation. The Designli team is able to translate any idea into a technical, workable solution.

They also have the ability to think through any issue and utilize their wealth of marketplace development experience. They’re quite good at helping us navigate not just the final outcome but also each idea that goes into making it.

Our relationship with them is quite simple and flexible. It’s very easy to hop on a call with them and relay any stakeholder feedback that we’ve gathered. It’s easy to walk through issues with them because they can quickly resolve or implement it to push the project forward.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

Designli sticks to the deadlines. Though there are delays sometimes, these are minimal. They’re still much better than other developers that we’ve worked with, if not the best.

We share a Basecamp folder and conduct weekly calls. The mechanics of their project management are not apparent to us as a client because they take care of everything. We simply see the results, which is amazing. Their team keeps us in the loop for regular progress updates and does not shy away from asking questions. This gives us confidence that we’re not burning hours moving in the wrong direction.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Three things stood out to us about Designli: the experience that they provide, the quality of their work, and the way they manage the project as well as their relationships with their clients.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We haven’t gotten to the development phase yet and maybe that’s where things will become a little more difficult. We don’t have any constructive feedback for them at the moment, though. We have been very happy with our engagement with them so far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Definitely work with Designli. There isn't anything that we would have done differently.

**The Review** — Dec 13, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: While quantitative metrics aren’t available yet, the internal feedback for Designli’s work has been highly positive. The client praises the team’s ability to stick to schedules and budgets. They’re also willing to accommodate the company’s ideas and schedules, resulting in a great relationship.
"“Our overall satisfaction is 100%, and Designli has definitely met our expectations.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO at a software development company. We’ve developed three products over the years, and we license them in various on-premise and SaaS models.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We work with Designli on our flagship product. We’ve developed it over the years, but many features have been confusing. As a result, our goal is to revamp and modernize the product’s UX design to make it easier to use.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli’s main deliverable is to redesign our product while following our brand guidelines. We work in collaboration with their team to identify key areas where we need UX improvements based on our end client’s feedback. Then, they propose solutions, and our teams agree on the best approach to use.

For example, we’ve revamped the design of the shipping process. Users should be able to add one or more items to their carts and have them delivered to one or more locations. The team has proposed various options to streamline this process for end users.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with their CEO and COO to negotiate the deal; the COO is in charge of the overall project. Our team has also worked with a UX professional from their team during the initial discussion process. We’ve also been collaborating with one of their designers.

How did you come to work with Designli?

A common friend of ours recommended Designli. That friend used the team in the past.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $12,000–$12,500 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project in May 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have any quantitative data yet since we haven’t implemented the new UX designs. However, we’re in the process of re-architecting the product, and we’ll implement their designs after that.

Anecdotally, we’ve reviewed the new designs internally, and the feedback has been positive. Our overall satisfaction is 100%, and Designli has definitely met our expectations.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

Designli has done well in terms of project management, and I don’t have any complaints about their scheduling or management skills. We use Basecamp and Figma to manage everything and communicate about the designs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is willing to accommodate our schedules, budget, and ideas. I’ve seen this quality in other design companies, but the Designli team is better at it than the other teams we’ve used in the past.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When we hire a design company, we want them to lead with their expertise. We’re software developers, so we can’t handle designs internally. As the product owner, we’ve given Designli some guidance, but we rely on them for their UX perspective. Given that, they should drive the project more with their expertise instead of looking for guidance from us.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Set expectations correctly. Designli is good at managing the scope of the project and schedule, but they should guide the process, too — you should emphasize that when you start working with them.

**Feedback Summary**: Stakeholders are happy with the MVP, which is described as polished and professional. The Designli team has done an excellent job collaborating closely with the client, ensuring that they meet expectations along the way. Their communication and project management processes are their best features.
"“They have innovative solutions that simplify things for non-technical customers.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of AthleteUp, a marketplace for college and professional athletes to connect with brands, businesses, and fans to monetize their name, image, and likeness. They acquire sponsorships from businesses or lessons for local youth athletes.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

My background is in the finance and banking sectors, so I don’t have any coding or software development background. I have the idea and I know the features I want, but I need Designli to help me understand the development and technical aspects of the idea.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli helps me think about the right things and decide on the features and functionalities that are critical for our MVP. They also help me decide what features can be added later on, guiding me around what technologies can help us go where we want to be. To do this, I’ve participated in their discovery process where they asked me about my goals. Then, they’ve mapped out user stories and user flows. Simply put, they’ve provided me with a blueprint for the technology, features, and functionality of the app. The team has also scoped the project out with pricing for each feature.

Apart from that, we’ve also asked them to create the actual mockup designs and high resolution wireframes of the app’s clickable prototype. This is somewhat a separate project from the discovery process, and we’re nearly done with it. We haven’t engaged them yet for the actual development of the app.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with Keith (Co-Founder & CEO) and Josh (COO), who are our main points of contact on most subjects. Our team works with Keith for discovery and with Josh for design.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I was searching through online reviews websites, including Clutch. They had good reviews, so I also looked at their portfolio and design samples. The team also had some background in projects similar to mine. Ultimately, I liked their style, and it didn’t hurt that they were pretty close to my location. In the end, I hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $10,000–$25,000 in their services. Our team has spent $5,000 for the initial discovery and another $18,000 for the high-resolution designs.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in May 2021, and the engagement is ongoing. The discovery phase where they built the blueprint lasted from May–June 2021. Then, in the first week of July 2021, we jumped into building the clickable prototype. That work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m impressed with the quality of Designli’s work. They take my feedback and hit what I ask for; the design looks polished and professional. I’m also pleased with their whole process, and their communication is top-notch. If I need to talk to them, I can do it digitally; they keep me informed.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They do an excellent job at managing the project and communicating with us. We mainly stay in touch through digital methods. For one, they use Basecamp to keep everyone updated. Through it, they give us the things we need to review.

I always know what they’re working on because they provide weekly reports on their work both at the end and beginning of every week. In other words, we have a constant flow of open communication. I’ve been happy with that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a playbook that helps them run their solution and achieve excellent outputs. They also know the right questions to ask because their resources have such a broad range of experience. On top of that, they have innovative solutions that simplify things for non-technical customers.

Overall, it’s a well-run operation. They ask questions, get the details, research them, and get back to us with plenty of recommendations. In fact, I can take their outputs to investors or other third parties to raise funds. As a result, I’m truly pleased with the way they handle the entire project and their recommendations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The engagement isn’t going as fast as my initial estimates; the design timeframe has been stretched out a bit. There’s slower feedback than I hope. However, I’m still truly pleased with the quality of their outputs. All I’m concerned about is getting good work.

From a cost perspective, they’re at the higher end of the spectrum. That being said, from a quality perspective, we’re getting what we pay for — we have a highly polished product, and the team knows what they’re doing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you don’t have any technical background, Designli is an excellent team to hire. They truly help you hone in on the features you want and need. They excel at asking the right questions and giving useful recommendations. In other words, if you’re not a coder but you have an idea, then they’ll help you figure the whole process out.

**The Review** — Jun 10, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Designli’s approach has made the process easier, and the client has had a phenomenal experience working with them. The team is highly responsive and communicative, and their work quality is great. They’re able to collaborate with the client to find accurate solutions to the challenges that arise.
"“They work with me to find a solution, and they’re always willing to jump in on a call and work things out.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the president of a company dedicated to selling trading cards. We offer license keys for an online game as well.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We do a lot of different things in the trading card community, and one of those things is trade cards and game license keys. I was looking to create a mobile application where the community could sell their licenses to us.

We already had a project under development, but I decided to change the design and look for other developers. Designli came in to take over the project.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli has been helping us develop an Android and iOS app that allows users to scan their license codes and submit them to us for sale. They’ve also developed a web-based admin panel to manage the information — all that is linked together.

Designli provides design services as well. A lot of the app structure was already built, but they were capable of adapting to it to implement their designs. We’re still in development, and currently, we’re ready to debug the apps so we can publish them on the marketplaces.

What is the team composition?

I’ve personally spoken to five different people from Designli on various levels.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I did a Google search and found Designli. I was looking around and comparing some companies, and what set them aside was their website design — it was amazing. The graphic design they did, the examples of all the different apps they’d built, and their success stories were intriguing — it all looked very professional.

They also talked about their approach on their website. Their approach was to build an MVP and work all the way up to a fully functional app, which makes the process a lot easier. Instead of doing it all at once and provoking a huge learning curve and other issues, they get feedback from the community so we can decide to upgrade the app based on that feedback. This approach was what set them aside from everyone else.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent around $27,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My experience working with Designli has been phenomenal. They reply extremely fast, and I can jump in on a call at any time. We’re both in the US, and we operate in the same timeframe, so they’re always responsive.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

Designli uses Basecamp for project management, and it works great for communication as well. They break down the process every week and give me a recap about how we are spending our budget, where they are allocating resources, what errors have they run into, and how much is going to cost us to fix those errors.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is phenomenal. I can bring something up, and they get it right away. They work with me to find a solution, and they’re always willing to jump in on a call and work things out.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I came from working with a different development team, and working with Designli has been such a smooth process that I don’t see anything that’s not working efficiently. Maybe I’ll have more feedback once we launch the apps and run into issues, but so far, I’m not aware of anything that should be improved.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Working with Designli is a mutual relationship. They’re great at giving updates and providing feedback. However, getting the most out of the engagement requires the same level of interaction from you as a customer. They can only do so much, so you have to provide them with enough information to run through the issues that might arise.

**The Review** — Jun 7, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Equipped with dependable design skills and a critical understanding of their client's startup goals, Designli produced design mockups at par with their client's standards and preferences. The team was communicative and expressed willingness to help the client beyond the terms of their partnership.
""Designli challenged us to think outside the box."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the COO and co-founder of a benefit corporation that currently focuses on building a new kind of fundraising platform for nonprofits.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We needed their team to transform our initial software designs and concepts into prototypes.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We began the partnership with a kickoff call wherein Designli walked us through the process by explaining the project steps. We then had a virtual workshop to tackle the project details and concepts to be utilized in completing the prototypes. After the brainstorming phase, Designli presented a 20-page project report, which served as our roadmap.

During the design phase, their team created iterations and mock-ups for our software, which we reviewed and commented on. Once they've applied the adjustments or final edits requested by our team, Designli would then allow us to pick the best iteration out of all their design outputs.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact was their CEO. There were other resources assigned to work on the different phases of the project, including the scoping and design stages.

How did you come to work with Designli?

We found their team after searching for potential agencies to work with via Clutch and other recruitment websites. We then shortlisted around 16 agencies and ranked them according to client reviews and online portfolios. Designli caught our attention the most because they seemed to be a very transparent and committed team — their attention to detail and quality were well-reflected on their previous work.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $15,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project ran from December 2020–March 2021.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Designli persistently met all our design expectations — they always made sure that the quality of the work they produced was at par with our preferences. Another primary measure of the project’s success was their ability to work within our company’s budget.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Basecamp as our main project management tool, while their team uploaded all their mockups and other deliverables on Google Drive. Designli was a very communicative team — they sent weekly updates and informed us in advance whenever there were potential constraints that could affect our timelines. Apart from that, they were highly receptive to our feedback, so any adjustments from our end were addressed right away.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Designli was not just a vendor that understood and produced what we required from them — they were a partner that helped us think critically when it came to making integral decisions. Their CEO was especially helpful in molding our business for the better and identifying the right marketing strategies that could work for us. Designli challenged us to think outside the box and consider multiple alternatives before choosing the best approach that could work for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They were a very transparent team. While the price was a potential area for improvement, I also think it was only fair as their services and everything they produced justified their cost.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Assess the maturity of your company, and let them take it from there. Designli could help your startup business go from zero to version one.

**Feedback Summary**: Designli’s work met their client’s needs and expectations. The team was able to seamlessly translate complex concepts into laymen’s terms. They were timely with deliverables and always communicated proactively. Designli is a cohesive team that works well to execute projects in an organized manner.
"“Designli had a good idea of what my concept was from the first consultation.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a dating app.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

I had no background or understanding of technology. I was looking for a company within my price range that would be comfortable translating technology to someone with no knowledge.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli developed my app from start to finish. First, I put my idea on paper and had an initial consultation with them. I described my idea and what I was looking to do. We had a couple of meetings where we walked through my diagram. From there, the team built out a draft and put together pricing for me, too.

Once the draft was completed, I decided to build it on iOS, Android, and desktop. Then, we discussed logos. They created 3–4 logos that fit with what I was looking for and I chose one. Finally, the team delivered an MVP so I could pitch it to potential investors.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Keith (Co-founder), a project manager, and another person.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I reached out to Designli on Fiverr They had experience working on apps so I felt comfortable working with them. They also fell within the price range that I was looking for.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent $7,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2020, and the MVP was completed in December 2020. Currently, I’m in the fundraising phase.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Designli had a good idea of what my concept was from the first consultation. They were able to turn my concept into something real within a short amount of time. The team met the deliverables and there was a lot of communication and touchpoints throughout the entire project. Their expertise was quick and accurate. I could describe something to them and they immediately knew what I was trying to do.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They used Basecamp to update me on where they were in the project. We had a touchpoint every two weeks. They met all the deliverables when they said they would. They were above average and there was a lot of follow-up via text. The team was proactive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Designli knew how to take technical language and translate it so I could understand. Their team is made up perfectly and they gel well. Everyone was moving in unison. No one was ever out of the loop. I can appreciate that since they all had different roles to play.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I was pleased with their delivery.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to do research on app development beforehand. That way you won’t waste time asking simple questions.

Their responsiveness supports a constant stream of communication.
""All of their design materials are extremely professional."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of a mobile application.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

I reached out to Designli to bring my idea for the mobile app to life.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli researched the market to assess our competitors and then analyzed it before the project began. We gave them a roadmap in PowerPoint, and then they came up with a prototype. Their team designed the entire app. They gave us a logo in addition to helping us build the frontend of a working prototype. After they made the prototype, their development team started working on it. Their team’s building the backend to make all of the screens functional.

What is the team composition?

Right now, I’m working with six people from Designli. However, there are other people on the calls who work on the backend.

How did you come to work with Designli?

We searched for development companies all over the US and reached out to 8–10 of them. We had about four different firms bid on the project. Designli had the best proposal as far as added value. They analyzed the market research and had nice visuals paired with it. The materials in their proposal aligned with our ideas.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $28,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We engaged them in July 2020, and we’re working together right now.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They follow our direction and pay attention to our thoughts. Their team heard our wants and needs and then executed them. One of the most important parts of the project was to make an app that’s modern and user-friendly. Designli achieved that with their prototype, which looks exactly like we want it to look.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

In the proposal, they told us what their team would do and how much it would cost. After the proposal, their team created a thorough road map of our app. It was a document that spelled absolutely everything out. We then chose what we wanted out of that.

We have meetings once a week, and Designli sends us updates via an app. We’re in constant contact. Any time I call, they pick up. If we have any questions, their team always answers them. There has never been an instance of non-response.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s easy to work with Designli. All of their design materials are extremely professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I realized that we’ll have to write the copy and design the graphics for a couple of the screens. I thought that should’ve been part of the scope.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you have an idea and the money, work with Designli. It’s a no-brainer to do business with them.

**Feedback Summary**: Designli dedicates a professional team that provides valuable services that exceed expectations. They offer innovative ideas to encourage project improvements. Following thorough processes, the team transparently executes initiatives. Their notable attentiveness ensures ongoing collaboration.
""Their team adds value beyond what we expect from them."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of operations for Grappos, which is a provider of store locator solutions for beer, wine, and liquor producers, marketers, and distributors. We license store locator software to marketers and producers and provide customer service around it. It’s not a traditional SaaS product as we have ongoing account management to keep the store locator up to date.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We wanted to modernize and revise our backend workflow systems to align with the business as it evolved over the past several years.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a couple of preliminary engagements with Designli that aligned with their process. It was helpful because we came to know each other, and then we gave them a peek behind the curtain. Based on what they saw, Designli told us how they could or couldn’t help us.

Their team walked us through a process that started with a foundational project where we reviewed part of our backend code together. Their team guided us through a process that helped us envision a solution that would better align with our company as it had evolved.

Based on their findings, we decided to proceed with their process called Solution Lab. The process gave us a lot of ideas. The next step of their process involved UX/UI design to align with what we had mutually agreed to in that Solution Lab process.

We went through that UI/UX design process and now, we’re in development with them, which is ongoing. We’ve done several large sprints and have several large sprints to go. Our intention is to continue our relationship in the form of a retainer agreement.

What is the team composition?

We work with an expanded team that includes a project manager. In the beginning, we talked with the leadership team to go through more strategic work. We maintained a key project manager contact at that leadership level. During the UX/UI phase of the project, we worked with a designer but also had senior-level leadership guiding the process. We currently work with several of their developers.

How did you come to work with Designli?

When we needed to rework our systems, we decided to partner with a firm that we could meet in-person. It was important to us because we focus on customer service as a company. We found Designli by searching online for local partners. As primarily a technology company, we felt that their team was a good fit. They weren’t an advertising agency trying to make applications.

We met with Keith (Co-Founder) and candidly talked about our goals and ideas for how to accomplish them. He understood us right away.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$200,000 on their services. However, I anticipate that we will exceed that investment.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership with Designli began in March 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We worked with big firms in Silicon Valley but Designli has been our brightest partner. They have so much talent. Their team has ideas that we haven’t considered, which is a new concept for us. They bring more to the table than what we ask of them. Their team adds value beyond what we expect from them. They’re smart and responsive.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

We went through the Solution Lab virtually, which was well done. It was a great process that gave us cool ideas. I have a background in project management, and Designli’s outstanding.

They have a rigorous process for managing our account and projects, giving us clear visibility into roadmaps and financial milestones. Their team has a tight process for when we meet, what reports we’ll receive, and when sprints will begin or end. Projects run like clockwork. I’m a stickler for these qualities, and they couldn’t be better. They’re excellent communicators and listeners.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their project management skills are an important quality. However, it may seem small in terms of the value they add. Their technical expertise is stronger than our past external partners. Their team has deep knowledge and experience.

They’re also savvier than expected for a firm of their size. That’s the beauty of it. Designli’s small, so we receive attention from their senior level. Even though they’re small, they have great talent on their team. They’re invested in our success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have very high expectations but no. It’s been a home run. If our engagement continues like this, the sky is the limit for what we can do with them next.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would highly recommend that a potential partner follow their recommended process, which starts with the Solution Lab project. In the beginning, there’s a financial investment. However, the Solution Lab’s critical to a project’s foundation. If you have a limited budget, you may not want to go through that strategic upfront process. For us, it made our project more efficient because we’re working from the same set of assumptions.

"“Every call and email is logged in there, so I was up to date at every step of the project.”

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a first responder alert company. We provide an app for commercial companies to request emergency roadside assistance.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

I hired them to create a prototype for my app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We started off with their solutions lab, where we sat down for a few hours and went over how I wanted the app to look, what features I wanted to include, and how it would function. It was basically my whole business plan. From there, they were able to write down what we discussed and how they would achieve it. Then we discussed how to set it up for V1.

From there, we went into design and I told them what color scheme I was looking for and they were able to walk me through that. They delivered a fully functioning demo and I was able to go through it exactly a I had described.

We’re shooting to have the app run on iOS and Android.

What is the team composition?

We started working with Keith (Co-Founder & SEO), they brought on two more people to write down notes. And answer questions I had. After that, they brought on a graphic designer to help out with the layout of our app.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I found them on Clutch. I did a Google search, and found them there.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $17,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2020. It took a month to finalize everything and go through the design. They were able to turn it around and get it back to me by July.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve been great and have helped me every step of the way. The design came out perfect. I was able to pitch it to a few potential customers and investors and have a lot of feedback on it now. Everybody seems to like the user flow and the way it was designed.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They use a platform called Basecamp. Every call and email is logged in there, so I was up to date at every step of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re experts in their field. Their ability to map out the whole process, how long it will take, pricing, the quality of their work, is definitely a highlight.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no negative feedback to give.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Try to map out your plan beforehand. We had a business plan mapped out beforehand and that was really helpful at the beginning of our process.

**The Review** — Jun 9, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Designli’s app received positive internal feedback, and they were commended for the continuous support they provided over the course of the project. In addition to being very communicative, the team was also committed to delivering the product while keeping the cost low.
""Their honesty and transparency around the app build and features were great."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior marketing manager at Lex Mundi, an international network of law firms with about 150 member law firms worldwide.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

Every year we would print a directory of our member firms. We wanted to eliminate that for several reasons.

One of them was that we wanted to reduce the cost, and another was that we wanted to be more green and not print lots of directories. We were looking to build an app that would provide the same information.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We knew what we wanted as far as the information that needed to be in the app, but they took us from the first step all the way to the end. Designli walked us through how best to build it and what features to include. They then built a native app for both iOS and Android.

What is the team composition?

We mostly interacted with a project manager.

How did you come to work with Designli?

Since we’re a membership-based organization, we talked to some of our law firms in the US to see if they had worked with any app development companies. Our member firm in South Carolina recommended Designli, so we reached out to them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from June 2019–June 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Anecdotally, our members are happy to know that we won’t be printing thousands of copies of the directory.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

The team did a really good job of walking us through how the app was going to be built. For an organization that had never built an app, it was really helpful to work with a company that was with us step by step.

Designli was super helpful. They set us up on Basecamp and provided updates at the end of every week so that we knew where we stood and what they had worked on.

Additionally, they were good about letting us know what they needed from us. The over-communication was great. In addition to Basecamp, we also communicated via email, and sometimes via phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their honesty and transparency around the app build and features were great. They didn’t try to get more money from us. When we told them what we wanted to do, they would suggest alternative methods that would cost less.

For someone who has never done it before, you won’t be taken advantage of financially. They want to do everything in a cost-effective way.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing jumps to mind right away. The only thing is that they start off their project with an information gathering session to get the scope of the project and they charge for it. There was some hesitation around that because there was a price to pay just to get started.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would recommend them to anyone. Communicate with them and they will do the same.

**The Review** — May 29, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Designli delivered a visually-appealing solution that has been incredibly helpful in terms of explaining the business’ mission and receiving feedback. They are a communicative, professional, and thorough partner that answers questions with great depth and provides regular status updates.
""The team did a great job of interpreting what I wanted and making it come to life."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and founder of a web platform that makes it easy for fantasy leagues to collect and donate a portion of their fees and winnings to charities.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

I’m not a developer, so I needed someone who could handle this project. Not having a background in development made me a little bit nervous when I was starting to look. I wanted a partner that I could trust.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I had an idea of what I wanted and I knew the steps that I needed to take. The whole process was very collaborative. Designli worked with me to develop a prototype that I’m able to get feedback from and use in my idea pitches.

What is the team composition?

Originally, I worked with Keith (Co-Founder & CEO), but now I work with Josh (COO) who translates what I needed to the developers.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I found an article on Google that ranked the top 10 web developers in the US, and they were mentioned. I also used Clutch to read their reviews and to make sure that I was heading down the right path.

I talked to other companies along the way, but I could tell that Designli was professional and perfect for the tech startup space.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in March 2020, and it’s ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The prototype has made it easy for me to get feedback. The whole business description writing process is difficult enough, so having a good-looking prototype makes it easy for me to explain what I’m trying to do by showing and not just telling.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via video-conferencing and phone calls. We were going to meet in-person, but due to COVID-19, that didn’t happen. The team is very thorough. They give us an end-of-the-week wrap-up of where the project stands and what they’re hoping to accomplish.

The team also meets its deadlines. If they ever have issues meeting their deadlines, they always let me know.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Designli has it down to a science in terms of communication. Any time I’ve had a question, they’ve always given a business-like yet personal response.

No matter how small the question is, they always answer thoroughly. They strike a good balance between keeping it professional while maintaining casualness.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any suggestions. I’m happy with everything they’ve done so far. I’d love for the project to cost less, but I know that in this world, that’s just how it is.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Most of the hold up came from me. So, I would advise customers to be precise and clear about what they’re trying to accomplish. This will really help.

There were several times where I had to pivot and go in a different direction. Nevertheless, the team did a great job of interpreting what I wanted and making it come to life.

**Feedback Summary**: They’ve satisfied the requirements by translating a business idea into a tangible reality. The team excels at project management and communicating seamlessly. They provide actionable insights and industry knowledge while putting clients’ interests before their own.
"“Designli has given our idea a voice.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am one of the co-founders of a web application that is focused on helping people make social and professional connections through shared interests.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

At the stage we got Designli involved, my colleague and I had an idea, and we were looking for someone to tell us whether it would work or not.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

At the outset, we went through Designli’s ‘SolutionLab,’ which is a very prescriptive, collaborative, and well-defined process. We came in with a lot of thoughts, and Designli’s team walked us through our idea. They asked what challenge we were trying to solve and had us consider different ideas and concerns. At the end of the SolutionLab process, they let us know what they thought could be a viable, go-to-market strategy and solution, and they broke it into different phases and stages. This helped us define the idea we had with some minor tweaks.

Their first step in the process was the SolutionLab and defining the idea; the second step was seeing what the idea could look like before getting into development. Designli went through a design process to help us visualize the solution and give us something tangible, including screen flows, color schemes, logo designs, moods, etc.

We’ve completed the SolutionLab and the initial prototyping. It has been a very collaborative, iterative process with a lot of back-and-forth.

What is the team composition?

I’ve always worked with Keith and Josh (Partners, Designli), the COO and the CEO. Then, as part of their design team, they have a content specialist assigned to us as well as more of a technical resource. For the first couple of phases we’ve been through, we’ve had 4–5 people engaged from their team. They’ve engaged more of their team members as we’ve gone along.

How did you come to work with Designli?

We got connected to Designli through an entrepreneurship group in the Greenville area, which they’re also a part of. We chose to go with Designli because of their SolutionLab, which we thought was a really interesting process.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $17,000 so far. They’ve done a really good job of providing phases 1–3 overall investments and what they could look like with certain variants in place.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our work with them in September 2019, and they delivered the prototype at the end of January 2020. We’re currently providing tweaks back to them. Our work together is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Now, we have a prototype in hand that we can take to our presentations as part of our pitch deck as we look for funding from different sources, whether that be venture, angel, or friends and family.

Before Designli, we only had a document. We’d try to tell people what our idea was, what it could look like, and what it was trying to solve, but most people didn’t get it. Through the SolutionLab and prototyping, Designli has helped us really refine and define that idea. Now, we can clearly articulate our idea to people, both in text and on a screen. People need to see and feel and touch in order to visualize. Designli has given our idea a voice.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

I was once a PMP-certified project manager, and I think these guys are better than I ever was. If anything, they’ve over-communicated and been very concise. They make sure that we understand every step and where every dollar is going. They update us frequently throughout the week about how many hours we’ve spent toward certain projects. If there are any delays or they need extra time on anything, they clearly share that with us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We needed somebody to push back a little bit and give us a reality check. What distinguishes Designli is that they ask the hard questions while respecting our idea and the work we’re trying to do. We felt we could trust them right away because they asked questions that could’ve stopped our project in its tracks. They’re a business, so they could’ve easily just said our idea was wonderful and that they’d build it for us; instead, they slowed us down and broke down our idea.

They really put our interests ahead of theirs because they see that it’s more of a long-term relationship. They’re very adamant that they don’t put pen to paper or code to screen before the client knows what their idea is. The SolutionLab is a very defined process of brainstorming where they overlay their experiences, guidance, current projects they’re working on, and hurdles they’ve seen.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. We’ve been delighted throughout the process; we’re not experts in this area, and they’ve been our trusted advisor throughout it.

Any advice for potential customers?

Open up and share any and all ideas with them; they’re very receptive and want to hear everything. I think that a lot of entrepreneurs don’t share their ideas because they assume they’re too crazy. When you work with Designli, engage in the SolutionLab process and put everything on the table. They’ll collect all of your ideas and then give them back to you in a very legible format that makes more sense than when you originally said it.

**The Review** — Feb 14, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The team at Designli meets expectations. Their dedication to their clients is particularly noteworthy. Their organizational style is also top-notch. Customers can expect a transparent and creative engagement with their team.
""Their team is super quick, probably faster than other providers out there."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Puff Count.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

I had an idea for a startup and app that would allow users to keep track of their vaping usage. While I had the concept in mind, I had no idea how to create the app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

After I came to their team with a basic idea and a few designs that I created with another designer, the team at Designli developed the iOS app from scratch. It was a straightforward process with constant contact between our teams.

The app has a home page that keeps track of your daily progress through how many puffs and at what time you’re vaping. It can also track progress monthly and weekly, and users can view their history on the app. There’s also a profile page.

What is the team composition?

There was one project manager and one development manager. Within the team, there were three or four developers that worked on the app.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I started looking for development agencies and came across Designli on a review site. After giving them a call, the rest is history.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve invested between $10,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing engagement with Designli started in November 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The first phase was finished in less than a month, and now we’re moving on to the second phase.

The team at Designli is involved in every step of the way, remaining interested in my project. I’ve never been in the dark, and their team provides excellent suggestions. They provided a detailed SOW that outlined the entire development process. Their team is highly-qualified, organized and trustworthy.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked through Basecamp for communication. I’ve remained updated by the developers throughout the engagement. The entire project management system is well-organized.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with freelancers in the past, but Designli is the first company I’ve worked with in this area. Their team is super quick, probably faster than other providers out there.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I had an issue with the length of the testing phase. Since the app is pretty simple, I don’t think the phase should’ve taken as long as it did. I don’t think it even needed it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Talk through it with their team. The team at Designli is extremely passionate. They’re willing to hear ideas. Along with being extremely involved, they come up with helpful suggestions. Clients should keep an open mind and trust that they know what they’re doing. But also make sure your vision is being created.

Timely and responsive, the team demonstrates incredible initiative, creativity, and work ethic. They provide frequent progress updates.
"“They’ve done everything I’ve asked them to do and more.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of The Locker Room Worldwide, a sports platform for youth athletes. The platform enables youth athletes to create their own websites and promote themselves.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

I had a vision for this platform and needed development support.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Designli is developing the platform from scratch using different technologies. First, they put together a proposal that detailed the different avenues they could take to create the platform. This included a description of how everything would go, and I approved it.

They’re building out various parts of the platform, including a page for athletes and a page for strategists, who help athletes through different brackets as they get older. Designli is developing a side of the platform for coaches and recruiters so that they can go in and look at athletes. They’re also developing the programs for billing, storage, and video. They’re helping me get pictures in place and are assisting with the language.

What is the team composition?

I work directly with Keith (CEO & Co-Founder, Designli) and Josh (COO, Designli). I know there are other people involved because I see them on the emails.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I looked at local companies, and that’s how I found Designli. I looked at three different companies before hiring them. Designli’s portfolio and the people they’d worked with were big reasons I chose them.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I began working with Designli in July 2019, and our work together is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Designli has played a big part in everything. They’ve really been leaders of this whole project. They took the idea in my head and made it real. They were able to get our homepage up before our first convention, which happened in Florida in November. They set up Mailchimp so that we could collect email addresses and other information from people coming to our page.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been great. They send me updates every week to show what they’ve done and how they did it. All of their timing has been good; when they set timeframes, they meet them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their initiative and work ethic set them apart. Also, their creativity with the project has helped me understand things and go from one point to the next.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I couldn’t point a finger at them for anything. They’ve been so patient in working with me and understanding where I want to go. I’m pleased with everything; if I had to start all over, I’d choose them again.

Any advice for potential customers?

Being able to communicate is important.

**Feedback Summary**: The team completed the design aspects of the application. Their skilled expertise complemented their professional management style. The team at Designli is reputable, communicative, and responsive. Customers can expect a hardworking team that meets deadlines.
""Their team is excellent at asking clarifying questions."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a financial blog.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Designli?

We wanted to create an app for our audience. Our users had been asking for one for a long time.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The team at Designli was hired to develop and design our application from scratch. It’s intended to be a motivational tool to help users pay off their debt faster. The app gives recommendations on refinancing loans and where their focus should be when it comes to paying off debt. It also has a social media function where users can like and comment on their friend’s progress.

What is the team composition?

I’ve only interacted with two people from their team, but they have between 15–30 developers working on it. My points of contact worked with me to get a feel of what I wanted and needed. They act as a liaison between the developers and me, explaining what I need in technical terms.

How did you come to work with Designli?

I found Designli on Viber.

How much have you invested with them?

By the time the project is completed, we will have spent over $100,00.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started engaging with Designli at the end of August or beginning of September. The work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve gone through the design phase, and now we’re working on the technical aspects. Right now, the app is for iOS. In six months, their team will start on the Android version. All they’ve done is go back and forth on design. Once the app is out and people are using it, we will be able to track its progress and success.

How did Designli perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, they’re amazing. Their team stays in touch, providing weekly updates. If there’s ever a question, we have a great plan for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were the most reasonably-priced, reputable agency that’s based in the US. I also appreciate our points of contact. We can call them at any time to make sure we’re all on the same page. Their team is excellent at asking clarifying questions. In the developmental phase, I felt that I had thought through my app well, but their team sees things from a technical perspective. That helped us get on the same page.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing from my experience. I might have more to say further down the line, but nothing for now.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Designli is only held up by the client’s lack of communication or the inability to act quickly. Clients need to make sure they give feedback as quickly as they can to move the timeline faster. There were a few weeks where I couldn’t respond. But if they’re willing to help, you also have to be there and willing.

## Portfolio & Awards

### Thingealogy Native iPhone & Web-App Development
Our lives are filled with collected belongings and treasured mementos, many cherished because of the stories they hold. Thingealogy provides a system to save these stories, so that they can be shared now or saved for future generations.
It all started when our client, Kathy's, aging parents asked her to be one of the executors of their estate. Kathy was helping them decide what to do with their belongings and loved hearing the stories behind their heirlooms - many of which she was hearing for the first time.
For example, in the guest room of their house, Kathy learned about the Brazilian bedside table that had traveled with them since they were first married 60 years earlier.
At that moment, Kathy wished she had a way to record these stories to share with her family. Searching for an app that could fit this purpose, she couldn’t find one, and the idea for Thingealogy was born. The name “Thingealogy” came from merging “thing” with “genealogy.”
Thingealogy was developed with AngularJS, NodeJS and Loopback. During Development, Kathy was kept apprised of progress and “estimated versus spent time” for each task to ensure the budget was kept in check via a weekly update. After a brief Beta Testing period, Thingealogy was launched to the public - and the Designli team continues to stay involved for ongoing feature iteration as Thingealogy gains traction.

### Grappos Web-App Design and Development
Hundreds of beer, wine, and spirits brands rely on Grappos product locators: widgets that show their website visitors where to find and purchase their products. Designli assisted with a ground-up overhaul of the Grappos software system after 12 years of successful SaaS business operation.
Like many great startups, Grappos was born out of a frustrating personal experience. Founder Eric Kunisawa set about picking up a bottle of his wife’s favorite wine, but wasn’t able to find it - and instead had to scour LA for what should have been a common, $12 bottle of wine. He figured there must be a better way to do this, and thought a software platform could help.
Launched in 2008, today Grappos is a powerhouse that serves some of the biggest and most popular wine industry labels.
Grappos was built as a mobile-responsive web-app, using Angular and NodeJS - hosted on Amazon Web Services, with tight integration to MapBox for geocoding addresses into coordinates on the map. This project was tackled with an Agile, Sprint-based Methodology, and Designli continues to help Eric and the Grappos team with ongoing iteration and support.

### True Load Time Web-App Design and Development
True Load Time was founded to combat the problem of excessive wait times for truckers. The lack of transparency in facility loading and unloading times prohibits accountability and consistency, resulting in billions of dollars in lost productivity.
There is no transparency in facility loading / unloading times for truckers and trucking fleets; this means truckers are forced to wait at shipping and receiving facilities, leading to billions of dollars in lost productivity. True Load Time solves this problem by being the go-to source for determining average wait times at shipper and receiver locations. With this knowledge, truckers can plan accordingly and stay on schedule.
Our team developed TLT on the Amazon Web Services infrastructure using Angular and NodeJS using an Agile Development methodology. True Load Time uses Amazon ElasticSearch and processes user’s credit cards using Stripe.

### National Trench Safety – On-Demand Product Teams
A technology executive from NTS reached out to Designli because he wanted his next piece of enterprise software to have a consumer-ready UX. The team at Designli helped him deliver something intuitive enough to roll out to many customers and internal users with no training.
Designli also developed the software, building a customer portal on top of NTS's existing ERP solution The engagement went so well that NTS started adding members to their existing agile product team from Designli. That way, we can build more, faster.
This client is enjoying a high development velocity without the normal mid-term tech project headaches like hiring, management, and layoffs. This engagement serves as a blueprint for the way Designli serves mid-market companies and enterprises that need outsourced software development teams.

### Behind the Knife
The Challenge: A Need for a High-Quality Surgical Learning App
A group of surgeons wanted to create something with the quality of a top online learning app, but specific to the field of surgery. Their existing WordPress site wasn't getting the job done anymore because it couldn't handle the variety of content types from podcasts and audiobooks to PDFs and ebooks.
Building a Premium, Custom Learning Experience
They needed a custom application that could host a diverse, user-friendly content library. They also needed this library to have the premium look and feel their users would expect after the learning experience in medical school.
Finally, they needed to monetize. They aimed to achieve this by gating some content behind a paywall. The team also needed a way to marry the physical and digital realms with ecommerce, offering unique learning add-ons such as a physical suture practice kit to go with virtual training modules.
Agile Development and a Dedicated Team
After a thorough UX/UI design process to build trust, Behind the Knife elected to pursue a year-long development contract. This engagement allowed for an agile process with regular releases along the way.
Designli assigned a full-time dedicated software development team of 3.5 people. This included a cross-platform mobile app developer, frontend developer, and backend developer. A fractional product owner with UX/UI design expertise kept all of the work on track.
Flexibility and Scalability
The agile process allowed Behind the Knife to make scope changes along the way without incurring additional costs. They had their dedicated development team and could allocate those resources as they saw fit.
Upon reaching a satisfactory point, they were able to scale down at will and drop into a maintenance plan. Pausing once the MVP reached a good point allowed Behind the Knife to save costs while awaiting market feedback. Once they identify needs for additional feature development, they can scale up again at will.

### 1MAC Anesthesia
1MAC revolutionized how facilities hire anesthesia providers. With the 1MAC web, iPhone, and Android platform, facilities can fill open positions with qualified practitioners in record speed, and anesthesia providers can harness the platform’s ability to negotiate contracts and view market pay trends.

### MEO Continuity
For large enterprises, disruptions to the supply chain are inevitable… and hugely disruptive. Business Continuity Planning (BCP) is a cornerstone for how intelligent organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover from unexpected events. MEO Continuity is the premier software + service combination that addresess this need.

### AskIris
Hospital supply rooms have earned a negative reputation in the healthcare industry. Nurses and other professionals spend a long time looking for supplies, and sometimes they can't find what they need. All the while, patients are becoming dissatisfied by the wait. Sometimes, delays even have serious implications.
AskIris is a healthcare mobile application designed to solve this problem with several key features:

Allow healthcare professionals to search by voice or text to find what they need immediately.
Provide low-stock alerts so supply room administrators can order more.
Allow medical supply admin to manage inventory via CSV with simple uploads and imports instead of manual processes.

### Paidback Native iPhone App Design & Development
Paidback motivates users to payoff debt faster with sophisticated debt payoff calculators and exclusive partnerships. The app also keeps users motivated through connections to friends and other people who are paying back debt. Brought from Vision to Version 1 (and beyond) with the Designli team.
Thanks to student loans from a law degree, a master’s degree, and dental school, Paidback founder Amber Masters and her husband, Danny, found themselves facing over $649,000 in debt.
To keep them accountable, Amber started a blog (DeeplyInDebt.com) to share their journey and what they were learning in the process. Organically growing to over 100,000 subscribers, Amber’s community started asking for an app that would help them connect with others and celebrate each milestone reach toward their goal. The idea for Paidback was born.
Paidback was built as a native iPhone app, with plans to expand into the Android market in the future. The Designli team kept Amber informed at each milestone, earning trust and approval in small, digestible app deliverables as the product took shape. We continue to stay involved in ongoing support as Paidback is marketed and users’ feedback is implemented on a monthly basis.

### Vital Knowledge Web-App Design and Development
Adam Crisafulli authored the industry-leading Market Intelligence commentary at JPMorgan for over 10 years. With Designli’s help, he ventured out with his own media company.
Adam Crisafulli is a respected voice in the world of stock market analysis. With tens of thousands of readers following his market commentary, Adam knew he would have a real business on his hands striking out to form Vital Knowledge as an independent media organization. He wanted Vital Knowledge to capture the narrative of the market, curating critical news and information alongside original analysis that helps investors navigate the increasingly noisy media landscape in order to make prudent investment decisions.
Designli handled the from-scratch Agile Development of the VitalKnowledge.net content delivery web-app and subscription system, developed in Angular and Node (and using Stripe for payment processing).

### Genchi Web-App Design and Development
Genchi exists to answer the question “How are our teams doing today?” by providing a real-time project status visualization tool. It uses a simple team-sourced ‘pulse check’ to show, track, and share project status and team health, each and every day.
Genchi provides a way for teams who embrace transparency to achieve better outcomes. By taking in regular, candid feedback from the entire team working on a project, and making that feedback visible and actionable by project managers and stakeholders, the whole team is confronted with fewer surprises.
Designli assisted with the Agile Development of the Genchi web-app, developed in Angular and Node. The solution includes a Slack Bot that teams can install to their Slack workspace to easily send their status reports. Working with a designated ‘Sprint Plan,’ the features that made up the Genchi system were broken down into digestible milestones so that progress could be regularly tracked.

### Icueity iPhone & Android Design & Development
Empowering the unique potential of every human being, Icueity helps users improve their self-awareness and performance using trait surveys. Self-awareness gaps are established and can be monitored and improved over time.
Icueity was born out of the idea that most of us have blind spots. Founder Rebecca works with leaders and CEOs, and noticed that there was a gap between who they saw themselves as and how their teams saw them.
The key insight? You don’t have to have every strength in order to be a good leader, but you do need to know where your gaps are so you can bring in people around you to fill those gaps.
Icueity promotes self-awareness using ‘continuous 360 reviews,’ providing feedback at users’ fingertips based on trait-specific surveys among your peers.
Icueity was built as a native iPhone and Android app, with a web-app component using Angular and NodeJS - and with regular status updates and milestone reviews using an Agile Methodology. The Designli team handled Design, Development, and Launch in-house, and continues to help Rebecca with the ongoing iteration and support of the Icueity product.

### Surcee Web-App Design and Development
Surcee.com helps its users become great gift givers. Simply create a profile and share it with family and friends, invite them to do the same, and never again be stuck in a bind trying to find the perfect last-minute gift.
A “surcee” is a small gift that says “I’m thinking of you,” or “I love you.” Surcee.com was started because giving the right gift is hard. Sure, we’re all thoughtful and we all care, but for whatever reason, we miss the signals that a certain “something” would be a great gift. Sometimes we forget dates and special occasions sneak up on us. Then, we panic!
Designli handled the from-scratch Agile Development of the Surcee.com web-app, developed in Angular and Node. The product relies on various third-party API’s for e-commerce traffic monetization. Working with a designated ‘Sprint Plan,’ the features that made up the Surcee system were broken down into digestible milestones so that progress could be regularly tracked.

### Virtuosity
Virtuosity is a virtual leadership development coach at your fingertips. Both B2B and B2C, this app is sold primarily to higher learning institutions and government entities throughout Canada.
The founders are educators by training. They specialize in character development for those in leadership positions. The mother and daughter pair had a mission to capture everything they knew about developing leader character, then present it in a private and secure system. Virtuosity was born. The true challenge of creating this educational app was in taking cutting-edge research and condensing it into a simple user experience. Designli's UX design and product roadmapping session helped Virtuosity take shape. The result is a systematized approach to character development. Now, organizations can use Virtuosity at their own pace instead of shelling out for manual leadership consulting and workshops.
The team behind Virtuosity is savvy enough to know that launching a minimum viable product (MVP) is only the beginning. They went on to launch new features and functionality, using their dedicated development team as they would an in-house product team. This includes adding a French language version to capture more of the Canadian market. Virtuosity also added another license type, making this app available to individuals, not just organizations. Going straight to consumers was yet another play to grow the user base.
A well-planned release and intentional feature addition made this app especially valuable to organizations. Virtuosity sells largely to government entities and universities throughout Canada. In-person leadership retreats and coaching seminars weren't nearly as attractive in the early 2020s. A virtual tool like this is the ideal replacement.

### Cabin Time
NovusWay Ministries operates youth summer camps that provide transformative religious experiences. With Cabin Time, campers can take those teachings home with them, building their faith in the comfort of their own home for the rest of the year.

### Eume
When facing life’s challenges, sometimes all you need is someone to talk to who has been through a similar experience. The Eume app is exactly this, creating a world where everyone has a Friend.

### Earth Technology Integration Web-App Development
Earth Technology Integration (ETI) provides Emergency Operations Center software: critical web applications that government agencies rely on during crises. After building their systems over a decade and securing government contracts, ETI came to Designli for help with ongoing maintenance, new feature development, and support as their platform evolved.
The relationship kicked off with our two-week SolutionLab, a deep-dive discovery sprint. Through this process, we gained a full understanding of ETI’s business model, existing systems, and the needs of their growing client base. Our first project together was a "pilot" — a new Emergency Response web-app that would integrate into their existing ecosystem. The goal was simple: build trust by delivering real results.
Following the success of the pilot, ETI moved to a Dedicated Product Team model with Designli. Today, our team – including a full-time Frontend and Backend developer, plus a part-time Product Owner/Designer – provides ongoing development support, regular product updates, and designs new features as new government contracts come in.
With clear communication, an organized backlog, and a strong partnership built over time, ETI continues to rely on Designli to keep their software systems running strong.

### Secur.Space Web-App Design and Development
Enabling on-demand access to a rapidly growing network of storage facilities for those searching for truck parking and intermodal container storage solutions. Graphic Design and Development support provided by the Designli team.
Co-founder Lance was a veteran in the transportation industry when he noticed a recurring problem. Truck operators and others in the industry didn’t have a convenient option to secure short-term storage when they needed it. At the same time, he knew owners of industrial lots that were underutilized wanted to get more out of their assets. The idea for Secur.Space was born.
The Secur.Space web-app was developed with React, is hosted on Amazon Web Services, and relies on HubSpot for marketing automation. The Designli team supported an in-house CTO with feature development support and brought a new set of customer-pleasing functionality to the table with a faster pace than could have been delivered otherwise. Secur.Space continues to be a fantastic example of how a product can be iterated on after launch based on market demands - and has recently been acquired.

### Commonly Asked Questions

**How much does it cost to build an MVP?**
Building an MVP with a professional team typically costs between $50,000 and $150,000, depending on scope, team structure, and how much discovery happens before development starts.

AI has brought those costs down by accelerating how fast experienced teams can ship. But AI alone introduces real risk. Code that works in a prototype breaks under real users and real security requirements. The right model is AI acceleration paired with senior human oversight.

At Designli, TractionLab delivers a full MVP in 90 days at $93,450 total, with every line of AI-assisted code reviewed by a senior engineer and engineering lead. The goal is a real user by Day 30 and a first dollar of revenue by Day 90, backed by a full refund in the first 14 days.

**I've been building with AI tools like Cursor or Bolt, should I hire a professional development team?**
You should bring in a professional team when your product needs to handle real users, real data, payments, third-party integrations, or compliance requirements. At that point, AI coding tools create more risk than they eliminate.

Key signs you have hit the ceiling:
The codebase is getting hard to maintain
You need Stripe, auth, or API integrations
Security and scalability start to matter

At Designli, the Engineering Intensive is built for exactly this moment. We take over the codebase, audit what exists, isolate the risk, and continue building with a dedicated team that will use the same AI-tools. You do not start over, you graduate to a team that can take what you built all the way to revenue.

**What should a non-technical founder look for in a development partner?**
In the first 30 days, you should have a real product with a real human using it, not a deck, not just a prototype or a roadmap.
Here is what a high-accountability first month looks like:

Week 1: discovery and construction running simultaneously
Day 5: concept screens, component library, and active development underway
Day 30: a real user inside your product giving real feedback

At Designli TractionLab, that Day 30 milestone is backed by a guarantee. If a real user is not inside your product by Day 30, Month 2 is on us. You keep everything built and get an extra month of work at no cost.

**What should I expect in the first 30 days of working with a software development company?**
A non-technical founder needs a development partner that can translate vision into build decisions without requiring you to learn to code.

Four things to look for:
A dedicated point of contact who understands your business, not just your tickets
A process that includes you without overwhelming you
A team that thinks about traction, not just technology
Guarantees that put risk on the agency, not on you

At Designli, we have worked with non-technical founders for 13 years. Every engagement includes a full refund in the first 14 days and a free Month 2 if a real user is not inside your product by Day 30.

**How do you turn app users into paying customers after launching an MVP?**
Turning users into paying customers requires three things working at the same time: a product valuable enough that payment feels obvious, infrastructure that makes it easy to pay, and a traction engine that keeps users engaged long enough to convert.
The steps that move the needle most:

Set up analytics to see exactly where users drop off
Ship monetization logic early, Stripe, pricing, billing flows
Run retention and onboarding sequences before churn sets in
Test pricing with real users, not assumptions

At Designli, Months 2 and 3 of TractionLab are built entirely around this transition. Your Product Owner owns the analytics, the monetization logic, and the full traction engine. The goal by Day 90 is your first dollar of real revenue from a real customer.
