What challenge were you trying to address with Designitic?

We’re opening a new business and needed to get our brand out there. We hired Designitic for social media management and SEO.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave the team an outline of what we were looking for, and agreed that Designitic would create a new Facebook and Instagram page for our business. They were also contracted to provide the business with 12 posts a month on Facebook and were responsible for content creation. The last part of our agreement was that they would handle SEO for our new website. 

What is the team dynamic?

We never met the team, and all of the initial conversations were with our sales consultant; they were later handed off to a manager.

How did you come to work with Designitic?

We initially posted on Bark.com and had about 20 people interested in the job; Designitic was one of the companies we spoke to. We were assured that they had a great design and graphics team, and they seemed knowledgeable, personable, and reliable, so we decided to move forward with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested more than $600.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between June–September 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

We were told that everything would be completed in 3–4 weeks, but they needed credit card information before they got started. We were assured that nothing would be charged until everything was launched and our first social media page was up. This was something we agreed upon, and it was put in writing. We sent them some material for the Facebook and Instagram pages, and we were told that they would get back to us.

When they sent us the proofs, they were nothing like what we talked about and didn’t represent our new branding and company at all. The content they were sending us was going to drive business away, and it wasn’t what we were looking for. Designitic told us they would try again and come back to us within 2–3 days with new proofs, but they didn’t get back to us for more than a week. 

We went back and forth for approximately 3–4 weeks and still didn’t get anything. We reached out to the manager to tell them what was happening, and he told us that they would get everything sorted out. Four days later, they reached out to us again and told us everything was solved. After six weeks, nothing had changed, and we still didn’t have anything. 

We called the credit card company to look at the charges at this point, and found out they’d charged us when they said they weren’t going to. We spoke to Designitic about it, and were reassured that it was a mistake. We came to find out that Designitic had a verbal or written clause in their contract, which they never gave to us, but told our credit card company they had an agreement on. 

The clause states that under no circumstances would they ever issue a refund because they have no customer satisfaction guarantee. They lied to the credit card company, and we'll never get the funds back, so we've lost money from this engagement. When we asked the credit card company for proof of this interaction, they were unable to give us anything.  

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

This has been a lot of wasted time and stress for our company. Between trying to get everything correct and fighting this, it has put the launch of our Facebook page behind for several months. The team was unable to provide us with any of the social media posts after almost three months; there was no organization and countless failed promises.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

I would not recommend using this company; they made absolutely no effort to deliver on what was promised.

I needed a company to help me launch my social media campaign Designitic what is hired to LAUNCH my Facebook and Instagram page after they completed the 12 media post required for the first month and also it was promised that they would complete search engine optimization on my new website for GorgeousYou

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

This company was referred to me as well as several others from the referral service called bark after having several conversations over several days with their sales consultant Max Jordan, I felt assured and comfortable to proceed with Designitic

After several phone meetings, it was determined and AGREED UPON That the first project would be to design how my Facebook page would look like, and then they would implement my ideas for my marketing strategy, which in the beginning would be bold, colorful, fun ads, informing potential clients of work my new company was all about

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I never really was placed in touch with any of the team, basically, I would describe to my sales consultant. Max Jordan, what I was looking for in the ad, for example, I would say, I want the background to be bright pink with the right model and the words introducing GorgeousYou Canada’s first virtual colour salon. And the second post was supposed to read Now you can have salon hair colour without the salon cost The third post was supposed to read no more Botched, Hair Colour results.

The company was horrible at keeping any type of deadline promise after promise we’re never kept and I had at least 5 to 7 excuses over four weeks where my sales consultant said that he was out sick or dealing with medical issues, and when I needed revisions to the ads, which were very poorly done with nothing that I had in mind

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The outcome was horrible, the company promised after I reached out to MAX Jordan‘s senior manager, with me, being highly concerned and complaining, that nothing was being done in any type of timely manner, and all I was getting was excuse after excuse with his medical issues I thought I was dealing with a company that had a team in place that was working on my project and it didn’t really rely on weather in my Sales consultant was feeling well.

The senior managers name was Zephyr who assured me that this will no longer be an issue and asked me if it would be all right. If Max would continue to work alongside with the project I only agreed to this because of his assurances, that I would no longer have to deal with endless excuses, and that I would finally start to get , some proper submissions of the media posts required for the first month

Initially, and I do have the email in my possession, I was assured that I would not be billed or charged, and my billing would not begin until my Facebook page launched with the first media post. This is not what happened instead they charged me on my credit card, and there was a period of time from August 15 to September 6 that Zephyr didn’t even reply to my numerous emails wondering why nobody was working on my project.

At that point, I had to contact my MasterCard company and request a refund Just under the 90 days that I was allowed to do this. Unfortunately my MasterCard company would not refund me stating that somehow Zephyr lied and said that they completed the work When I requested from my credit card company proof of this they never sent it to me. so Zephyr lied to the Capital one company stating that they had completed the work.

They also have a clause in a contract that I never agreed to that states that under no circumstances would a customer ever receive a refund. I was charged $616.97 Which is a lot of money for a small business person just starting and trying to launch a new business.

It’s also worth noting that previously. Zephyr mentioned to Capital one that they completed all the work but then last week dated January 12 I have an email confirming from him, that says if I’m still interested in working with a company that they would consider doing this So that I could finally get the work done that I already paid for

Considering that I have spent almost 5 months fighting this with Designitic and countless hours, fighting with my credit card company to no avail as they have already wasted and put my companies launch behind schedule by five months

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was very ineffective, very unprofessional, if you were interested, I could send you some of the work that they submitted to me for their approval. It was really horrible. And hard to understand because I was given them very good feedback on what I liked and what I didn’t like It took them over, six weeks to give me only two social media post that I was happy with

So I told them if I was going to launch Facebook I would be extremely concerned with their ability to give me something that I would feel comfortable posting because they have not been able to show me that they could produce any quality work in any reasonable amount of time. It was at this point that I requested that I would have six media posts Already completed so they would cover me for two weeks after my Facebook and Instagram launch.

As I mentioned before this is approximately the point where I never really heard back from the company and I have the follow up email proving where I sent the email dated September 6 to Zephyr stating why I never heard back from him since August 15.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Oh, obviously there is nothing impressive about this company perhaps unique that they are able to charge over $600 and then convince my credit card company true lies that they completed the work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Obviously they need to actually hire a graphic designers that can provide high-quality work and also that they could honour their commitments

Their tech-savvy development experts built our mobile application that was optimized to function efficiently across all platforms and on all mobile operating systems to make sure that we don’t lose any potential customers.

Galaxy Shipping & Logistic Company provides a multitude of sea and freight services all across the globe. We needed a mobile application to increase outreach and extend our services to the customers present in the digital sphere. By offering our traditional services through a mobile application, our goal was to reach a larger customer base in the hope of expanding our business.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

In a sea of app development companies, we had to take our time deciding which company best suited our business requirements. After meeting the AVP of sales in person and discussing the project in great detail we found that they are actually great at what they do.

Designitic development team started with doing full research on our line of business, our vision, the outcomes we wanted to achieve, and competitor analysis. After one-on-one meetings regarding the business details, we moved on to the scoping process where we established the platform we wanted the app to be developed on and other app specifications. Their team delivered wireframes within two weeks and then proceeded to the development phase after our approval. In almost 11 weeks we had an outstanding app ready to be submitted to the app store.

Seamless and smooth was how the process was. Their transparent work process and professional attitude paved the way for us to put our trust in them.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We received a multi-functional mobile application that helped us gain 1642 app downloads in one month where 90% of customers completed their checkouts. The Designitic development team efficiently promoted our app on all app stores and had it ranked on top. This enabled our business to generate great revenue and build new customer relationships.

The Designitic take their work and customer satisfaction very seriously. There wasn’t a moment where my team was not involved or kept in dark about the deliverables.

The company holds true to its values and doesn't fall short on its commitments. You don't need to think twice about their credibility or expertise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They are good as it is.

We researched thoroughly about every company we had shortlisted. We checked their websites, took feedback from the companies that we had worked with, and reviewed the results they had previously delivered. Moreover, we had a discussion to finalize on one of the best companies.

After that, we chose to meet with Designitic and discuss our ideas with them in detail. They seemed to understand it better than we had expected, and hence, we selected them and eventually started working with them.

As I have mentioned, we wanted our SEO services to enhance the search engine ranking to increase sales. So when we connected with Designitic, they asked us about our competitors' target audience and the relevant keywords for our services.

As we completed that part of the projects, they began a detailed analysis of all the points mentioned above, especially the keywords. Later, they develop the content side of the SEO strategies that helped rank better, such as Meta titles, content, and keyword integration.

In the beginning, we had meetings with the project consultant. He was the main point of contact between the company and us. Later on, we connected with the SEO specialist for any query regarding the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within a few months, we observed that our website's traffic had grown by more than 50%. The rankings started getting better, due to which our website became more visible to the audience. Now, we receive more clients than we used to, and it has eventually helped our ROI grow.

If there is one thing I have to admire about the SEO team of Designitic is the communication they had maintained with us. They conveyed to us every development regarding the project, which made the workflow and our understanding better. After every few days, we had been told of the progress of the project with complete honesty.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive part about Designitic was the quality of work and professionalism they displayed all this time. They knew what they were doing and delivered the outcome within the appointed time. We did not see a hint of miscommunication or lies. It was a smooth experience with these SEO experts.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Overall it was a great experience. Thankfully, we did not come across a significant problem. There is always room for improvement, and I hope they keep doing better with every passing day.
