We have been working with Definity First for over 3 years. Our relationship began with another client project that we needed development support on.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Definity First was a referral from a senior team member who had worked with the Definity First team in prior roles.

We had a kick off meeting with the project manager and the developer to outline the work as well as the product that the client was using at the time (HubSpot). We have since added Pardot and SFMC to the technologies that the team works with, based on additional requirements from the client.

A project manager was our main point of contact for this work, additionally we work with the developer who is able to flex between multiple platforms seamlessly.

We have a great working rhythm with the team, they are always willing and able to jump in. We communicate via email, slack, and Jira.

They are incredible to work with. Our client has sent multiple follow up emails expressing their gratitude for the team's outstanding work. They go above and beyond to ensure that we are not only meeting client expectations, but exceeding them!

I am the Engineering Manager of a nonprofit-only consulting firm. We provide CRM consulting services and technical solutions. We also provide arts marketing services to help maximize revenue and leverage data to enhance your audience engagement strategy.

We built custom software applications, but didn't have the resources to maintain them. We hired this vendor to provide ongoing management and support for our legacy systems.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We asked for references from our partners, and this vendor fit our needs.

The support team makes sure that everything is functioning properly. This includes updating systems with the latest technology and troubleshooting any errors.

We worked with the President and two assistants to hire for one position. I manage the hired Technical Support Engineer directly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We now have a reliable resource to make sure our clients do not experience any downtime, and will benefit from completed upgrades.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The hired employee works directly with our staff as needed. We meet once a week to go over work items and next steps.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They offer a high level of support at an affordable price. They were very friendly and worked to find the right employee to fit the role.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It took a while for them to get used to our software and internal processes, but they did get up to speed and now work independently.

I’m an IT manager for a manufacturing company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Definity First?

We didn’t have anyone who specialized in SharePoint or any Outlook resources. We had a tier-one help desk that could source most of the frontline problems, but we didn’t have a tier-two or three support level, and we needed to build that. We were using an offshore company, but we had a gap in our coverage, so we hired Definity First for staff augmentation on our internal team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve been using Definity First for 10 years and introduced them as part of our Microsoft 365 migration. They present us with candidates, and we choose from that selection. 

After the initial migration, we found that we needed additional support with regard to Outlook. We then started to develop resources with them, and that expanded into SharePoint. We’ve recently started working with them on Microsoft Premier Support. 

What is the team composition?

We currently work with three developers. One specializes in Exchange and Outlook, and the other two developers work on SharePoint development. We also work with an account manager and a technical account manager. 

How did you come to work with Definity First?

I was not with the company when we started working with Definity First. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spend roughly $200,000 a year with Definity First. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2012, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve rarely had to switch people out, and we feel like we always get quality candidates from them. We have positive feedback from our internal team about the work from the Definity First team, and they’re good about meeting our expectations. 

How did Definity First perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very flexible and adapt to our schedule well. They work outside of regular hours to get the work done and are always accommodating with what we need. The team from Definity First always adapts to our schedule, not the other way around. We communicate primarily through email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their candidates is impressive. They’re also very quick to resolve issues and are open to feedback. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we can think of immediately. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Use the resources and make sure that you’re checking in with them and communicating. When there is positive feedback, ensure you’re passing it along so they know you appreciate them.

I’m the VP of engineering for an IT services and consulting company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Definity First?

We needed someone to help us augment our staff with software engineers because we were very short-handed in accomplishing our goals.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the partnership with a discussion about our specific needs and understanding of our software architecture. They then started providing us with resources to supplement our development efforts, including a chief architect, QA engineers, and software engineers.

They’re essentially responsible for the screening and hiring of engineers skilled in C# and Angular, which we can incorporate into our team. They also take care of the training and onboarding process as well.

Aside from the team members they hired for us, we primarily deal with an account manager and chief architect.

We came across Definity First through our partnership with Microsoft.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $250,000 at this point in the relationship.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in February 2020.

We’re very happy with their velocity of resolving the work we send them and as a result, we’ve been able to move forward with our team and the more important aspects of our business.

How did Definity First perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform well from a project management standpoint and the new team members have integrated seamlessly into our company.

We typically communicate through Slack and manage the project using JIRA.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed by the quality of engineers they’ve been able to bring to the table, and how quickly the chief architect is able to integrate with our team and understand our platform.

I can’t think of anything they need to improve on.

PDI has had a long history working with Definity first. The current project was upgrading our mobile canvassing tools. We wanted to add several new features and optimize performance.

We have been working with the team at Definity First for close to 20 years. Established trust, accessibility and product knowledge were key factors.
