Definery was hired to help with the design and launch of a fintech app centered around sharing money.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to design an app that was simple and straightforward. Definery's fintech experience was incredibly helpful.

We had a connection to Almitra, the founder.

Definery helped us brainstorm and design our app from scratch. They worked on branding, look and feel, UI/UX as well as our marketing website. They were also critically important during our research and user interview process.

What was the team composition?

Anywhere from 2-7 from their team depending on the tasks that week.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We planned an early July launch and it went about as well as it could have. I am thrilled with Definery's work and feel really lucky that we got to work with them. They are such a talented team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had an excellent working relationship. Most of our interactions took place via Slack and we found it was an excellent way to work together.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are organized, communication was great and most of all the designs were delightful and inspired.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, we had a great experience working with them.

I am co-founder of a new startup making a consumer facing mobile application.

Definery was the designer of our look and feel and the UX and UI design our new mobile application - from beginning to end.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to build a new mobile app and needed help thinking through the features and functionality and needed a complete set of development ready designs to hand off to our development team.

Definery helped us think through the entire user experience, designed the look and feel of the brand, and designed every screen of the application.

It was 4-5 people from their team, they worked very quickly, thoroughly, and creatively across the board.

After stalling out with a couple freelance developers before hiring Definery, they executed the project under budget and ahead of schedule, with a great design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We worked very well together. They are very organized, responsive and collaborative.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of the work and the experience and knowledge of the team. They work very quickly, and are productive within a couple sessions.

We worked with Definery to rebuild our entire website and also to implement new brand work from a brand agency in SF.

Exceptional brand experience and conversion for our product signups and lead forms.

Prior experience and personal referral.

We hold weekly review meetings and communicate via shared slack channels. I act as a conduit for internal resources and collateral as well as coordinating from our side.

What was the team composition?

We typically work with a PM and designer on an ongoing basis, and bringing in extra help as necessary.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We continue to be pleased with the work output, responsiveness, and overall experience working with Definery.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have a workflow that is as regimented or flexible as needed based on the current business needs. We've been exceptionally pleased with the adaptability of the Definery team, as it has allowed us to hit aggressive deadlines and iterate until we achieve highly polished end results.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Ability to ideate on designs, revise quickly, and hit aggressive deadlines.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Sometimes we would like to see more latitude in the variety of ideation but given our past history of having some pretty concrete ideas of what we want to see, it's probably a communication issue on our side.

I’m the co-founder of a music startup. We’re reinventing the music licensing process on the buy and sell sides in order to reflect the way business is done in the industry today.

We hired them to handle all aspects of UI/UX for the project, from identity and design to detailed workflow mapping.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to revamp the music licensing process in order to circumvent the workarounds needed to compete in this industry.

We received multiple recommendations from development and business partners in our region.

Definery handled all aspects of platform development. They created a robust asset management system for media management. Some of the things they addressed included catalog management, metadata, and workflow improvements. They also helped us develop a brand identity and created our website.

We worked with our project manager, a UX lead, and a team of designers.

They exceeded our expectations and delivered something beyond what we’d thought was possible.

They really understood our business objectives and got to work right away. I've worked with a lot of design teams and Definery stands out as being the most talented.

Their perspective and creativity resulted in workflow improvements to our planned service.
