Deal Design has reviewed our existing product labels and designed new labels to match our overall product catalog. In the initial stages of a project, they will send a few designs over for review. My team then picks parts of the designs we want to move forward with and we make revisions from there. They have also helped us with improving our website and developing new marketing materials.

I have worked with both the Principal and one of their Graphic Designers. They have been very flexible in working with multiple people on my team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have not taken any external metrics, but everyone on my team is very happy with the work we have received from Deal Design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We typically start any new project with a kickoff call to give background information, then turn things over to Deal Design for the first iteration. They have been very proactive and consistent with their work, and they are very easy to get in contact with if needed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have a quick turnaround and always go above and beyond, offering multiple designs for my team to review. I am also very impressed by their attention to detail and organization.

I am very satisfied with how things are going thus far.

I am the VP of customer experience at Motiv Solutions, a software solutions company in the content integration space. I oversee sales, marketing, and customer success.

What challenge were you trying to address with Deal Design?

Deal Design augments our marketing team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I initially brought on Deal Design to redesign and relaunch our website. We had changed our messaging, and Deal Design came in and redesigned our site around that messaging. Once we approved the redesign, which was clean and fresh, Deal Design launched the site on WordPress. They then began hosting on Nexcess and making regular updates and bug fixes.  

Now, Deal Design executes monthly marketing lead generation campaigns and produces content. Every month, Deal Design provides us with four email blasts and an infographic, and they help us put together case studies. Deal Design produces content that we publish on Medium in addition to four blog posts a month. They also offer on-demand marketing services, including SEO and backlinking — we've just had them help us develop an event landing page.

We also leverage external partners to help us grow, and so Deal Design is helping us with Gartner reprint materials to post to our site. They also oversee our CRM and marketing automation in SharpSpring — they facilitate our migration from Salesforce to SharpSpring. They're first in line to execute reports, automate our processes, and curate our newsletters.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Deal Design is a crucial part of our growth and success. I don't have any KPIs because we're in the middle of launching our product or related campaigns; we're still building our pipeline. However, we're delighted with Deal Design's services because they're quick to respond and make changes when we request them. 

How did Deal Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Deal Design has excellent project management; I think they use an internal project management tool, but my team doesn't utilize it. We have weekly meetings with their team, primarily using Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Deal Design has become an extension of our company. We have a great rapport with them and their team is very personable — we have great synergy. Their team takes the time to understand our business needs, pays attention to detail, and follows tried-and-true marketing methods. Our industry is relatively new, but Deal Design has rolled up their sleeves and committed themselves to ensuring our success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing for Deal Design to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd advise customers to develop as many of their own ideas as they can because Deal Design has a lot of customers. They can be depended on to execute customer ideas, but not to originate any.

What challenge were you trying to address with Deal Design?

I’ve partnered with David (Principal) to help me launch a product. Since this is our company’s first product, David helps me think about our brand story and positioning. I’ve also hired him to help me create a logo while helping with the package design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, David interviewed me to understand what I was trying to do and to understand my background. Doing so would help us shape our brand story. We determined how we could get into retail stores and how to maximize our Amazon and marketplace presence. He also worked on addressing not only our immediate needs but also our longer-term goals.

At present, we haven’t launched the product yet. We’re finishing up the details of the initial launch. Then, we’ll work on some refinements as we try to get into retail platforms. Moreover, Deal Design is also acting as a facilitator with our packaging company in China. They essentially serve as my point of contact for production.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is David, but I know other people are also working in the background.

How did you come to work with Deal Design?

I looked around and read reviews; that was how I found Deal Design. Then, I reached out to David, and we had a conversation. I felt comfortable with him because I garnered enough reviews about his company. Other people were happy with their work, and their pricing was also fair for what I was trying to accomplish.

We started working together around June 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We don’t have quantitative metrics like CTRs and conversion rates, but I’ve been pleased with the way we work together and the quality of their service.

How did Deal Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Deal Design’s project management is excellent. To communicate, we use emails or set up meetings on Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

David rolls up his sleeves and does all the work, along with his team. He understands his business and has expertise in what he does. Moreover, even when we work collaboratively, he’s still able to take my feedback while bringing his expertise to the table. Overall, he thinks about the future; he’s always taking another step forward from what I’m initially thinking. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give Deal Design a try. Have a conversation with David to make sure that you’re comfortable with him. Be upfront as much as you can in terms of background information to create a good brand story. Their team can take any random thoughts and weave them into a good brand story.

On top of that, be upfront about what you’re trying to do, whether it’s generating online sales or others. In other words, go into the engagement in a collaborative manner.

We needed new packaging for our flashlights, so we hired them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we originally brought in David (Principal) and Deal Design, we wanted them to work on our packaging. After that, they worked on our website. We kept the same branding as the packaging, and we transferred that branding to the website, which was created via WordPress. They also worked on our logo. Our vision for the logo involved a blue sky background and a yellow sun. However, David’s vision favored the yellow-gold color more, which we decided was better. 

Since then, I’ve used Deal Design for everything from marketing to the colors of our flashlights. For marketing, David does everything except social media. He’s designed a retail-ready packaging that holds our flashlights, and if we have a trade show, he’ll do our booth — I essentially use his services for everything.

I mainly work with David. He works with other people from his team, but he’s our main point of contact.

I searched on Google as we were starting over at our company. Then, we found Deal Design and met with David. That was how our engagement started.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The packaging has been done exactly the way I envisioned, so I’m happy with it. In fact, our buyers have told me that our new packaging is finally ready for retail shelves. Likewise, I love the logo. It’s much more professional-looking than our previous one. Overall, the quality of David’s work is proven, and he’s done everything correctly — everything he’s done turns out well whether it’s for our branding or the marketing collateral we use.

David responds to me whenever I call or email him. In other words, he communicates well. Whenever he gives me files, I can save them for later use. Overall, he’s on top of everything.

I can talk about communication or professionalism, but Deal Design’s branding work is the most impressive part of working with them. They’ve created the branding that I want. It portrays what I’m trying to do, and their team has put us in the right direction.

We needed a fresh, SEO focused website in order to start capturing inbound leads. We launched in 2018 with a fairly basic website and really needed revamping as our growth accelerated.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I interviewed several of their competitors, who gave me exorbitantly high prices and I wasn't ready to pull the trigger on that. I eventually got to Deal Design and they were confident in their ability to deliver exactly what I needed at a great rate.

We discussed the project often, they kept us updated with weekly or biweekly updates on their progress. They would submit some examples and request approval before moving forward on big aspects of the project. We are particularly picky, but they were able to put up with our changing needs!

We worked with a small team, including the CEO. It was great because they were all able to contribute and share their thoughts freely.

We wanted a very professional team that we could trust with our most valuable sales tools. Deal's team are so on it and trust-worthy.

Each catalog process has over 20 steps that need to be completed in tight deadlines, from datamerge, pagination to design rounds and executive reviews.

We partnered with Deal's team to map out the project so that we can hit our aggressive deadlines. They supported us with the design of the entire catalog, organizing rounds of revisions and the final output.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to complete a large sales catalog in under two months, including all products being shot and inserted into the catalog, marketing spreads and several versions for different hemispheres. There is no way that we could accomplish such high quality work in such tight timelines without Deal's team.

Initially, I wrote and gave a description of my company to Deal Design. We started our engagement as a consultation, where I asked them about the business, the age groups of our potential customers, and other things of that nature.

Then, they came up with 10 logo concepts and presented them to me. I picked one of them, and we had two revision rounds to refine the design and agree on the color palette.

I worked directly with David (Principal), and I talked to him whenever I needed consultation. However, I didn’t know how many more people were working on his team.

We started working in July 2021, and we wrapped the logo design in August 2021. However, we’re going to be doing some other work in the future.

Throughout the whole process, I kept sending different pieces of information and feedback regarding the design, and Deal Design incorporated my input into their work. Everything was perfect, and they did an excellent job.

How did Deal Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Deal Design was easy to work and communicate with. We had no issues about anything, not even the payment. We communicated via Zoom calls, phone calls, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Deal Design’s attention to detail and communication were impressive. I didn’t feel like I was dealing with another company; they provided a familiar atmosphere. They were also extremely professional.

No. They did an excellent job.

I made the acquisition about three months ago. During the process of launching the company, I needed to get the brand right. Deal Design was responsible for designing a logo, launching the website, and positioning the brand.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Deal Design built the website on WordPress. Although I didn’t give them specific requirements, I told them that the website needed to clearly tell visitors how we help companies. Their team developed the site as an information page. As users move through it, they find top-line pieces of information about us.

I had logos but Deal Design asked if I was open to looking at them. After I agreed to have them review the logos, their team came back with variations that better represented our company’s services. They tied the symbol and name tie into what we do. Their team later worked on some of our initial press releases.

When working on projects, we give them frameworks. For example, we have an upcoming presentation. We built slides and then handed them to Deal Design to improve. They’re working to make them more professional.

The brand Deal Design created for us enables us to win deals. I keep seeing value from their work. Engaging with them is one of the better uses of my time and money. Deal Design understands the difference between personal, B2C, and B2B brands. Their team knows how to position B2B players.

The website isn’t loaded with words but still feels rich. It’s pleasing. Many websites have too much content, so people don’t even read it. The website Deal Design built has a couple of pages to show our legitimacy. Users can actually read through the website and understand us.

The logo will stand out for a long time. It’s not just a piece of art. It’s actually functional, which is important for B2B companies. When people see the logo, they understand our business.

How did Deal Design perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily communicate via email and use Google Drive. Their project management’s great. Rather than telling us what to do, they actually listen to us. If there’s an aspect I don’t like, I give them feedback. Their team then fixes it.

I’m impressed by how their team continues to raise the bar for quality. Their team ensures that they meet our expectations. Deal Design doesn't try to convince us to do what they want us to do. Rather, their team’s open to feedback and understands that we know our business better than them. They take our direction and work to improve it. For what they deliver, it’s a good value.

I engaged Deal Design to work on three or four other companies. Their team’s good enough that I keep coming back to them. If you would hire the same company again, you know you made a good decision.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Deal Design helped create a brand for an instant coffee supplement. Their team conceptualized the brand’s colors, packaging concepts, and renderings for designs. They delivered all of the concepts for us to review and then we picked one brand concept. Deal Design then delivered all of the materials in various file forms such as Adobe Illustrator.

After that phase, their team was able to help us with packaging. They not only designed the actual packaging but also facilitated a relationship between us and a manufacturer to produce the bags. We’re now working with them on website design and development. Their team will work with ours to build the Shopify store we want.

Their team connected us with a bag manufacturer that was much more affordable than any other company we found. They deliver results on time. The quality of their work is great too. Their team is also responsive, even outside of business hours. Deal Design also goes out of their way to introduce us to people because it would be helpful for us to develop relationships with them.

How did Deal Design perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly communicate via emails and phone calls. Their team provides updates, sometimes without us even asking for them. They hit deadlines but if a project may take longer, their team’s transparent about it. I’ve worked with companies that over promise and under deliver. Deal Design strikes a balance and sets spot-on expectations. It’s a relief to work with an honest company.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As they have a lot of experience, their team is able to guide us through the entire process. Their previous experiences in this area allowed them to tell us what we need and how we can reach our goals. They know everything that our business will need and help us to set that up.

No, everything has been great.

Ask their team questions. They have a great idea of what does and doesn’t work. Even if you know exactly what you want, ask for their opinions because their insight will be valuable.

They handled the graphics for the retail box presentation, photographs, and the design layout. Through a relationship they have with a company that manufactures boxes, they’ve also taken on the responsibility of producing our boxes. We have a point of purchase display that holds retail packaging that they’ve produced. Additionally, they’ve done sales sheet presentations for us to use. We may also have them do some work on our web store.

I worked directly with David (Principal). There were a few other employees that provided services, but he’s been my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Deal Design?

I found them while searching for providers within my region. While researching their past work in packaging, I was impressed by their capabilities and liked that they were based in my community.

We’ve spent over $10,000 on the project. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been engaged on the project since around June 2019. COVID-19 slowed the development of the project.

We’re very pleased with the project so far. They’re quick to adapt and make changes to their work when we request it. Whenever we’ve requested a change, for artistic reasons or otherwise, they’ve been good about making them.

I appreciated getting to work directly with company leadership. We communicated mostly by phone, and I met with them in person on a few occasions. There are certain restrictions surrounding the pandemic that made that difficult as of late. They handled logistics well and delivered good results.

Their follow-up and quick adjustments to our feedback were both impressive.

I can’t think of anything. We’ve been satisfied with their work.
