What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The DCNEARSHORE team took over the complete maintenance and support of an integrated app establishing backups, recovery, and monitoring. They analyzed and took corrective action to resolve outstanding issues, and responded quickly to incidents. They completed the work ahead of schedule and on a fixed budget. The team is fun to work with and persists until the job is done, without excuses.

The team went above and beyond, working beyond regular hours to resolve incidents. They came in ahead of schedule and continue to maintain and support the app with high-quality service.

None that I can think of. The experience has been nothing but great!

I'm the lead engineer on our data team working at pulling in data from various manufacturers.

For what projects/services did your company hire DCNEARSHORE, and what were your goals?

We needed a way to quickly get data from different sources and had our time tied up handling the data we did have. The code for each source needed to be specific, but the output needed to be standardized. Also additional enrichments needed to be added to the data retrieved.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed a few and this seemed like the most competitive offer price wise. Once we saw the quality of the work we were completely convinced.

The scope of the work is creating essentially scripts to pull data in python, delivering the output in a plain jsonl file format. The details across the various data sources and the changes that naturally occur during a project were the big challenges. The deliverables were simply the script and sometimes the information garnered when the task wasn't achievable due to issues beyond anyone's control.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

2 people on the core team both doing the work of delivering scripts. They've done so many. There is also 1 manager but he's mainly stayed out of our meetings.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They've really surpassed what I thought was possible, and made progress across a huge variety of challenging tasks. I'm being a bit vague in my review to protect the details, but the work they do is *very* detail oriented and high quality.

Very solid use of Slack and Github, probably better than I am. Generally fast on making new scripts and extremely fast at fixing any bugs that crop up.

Their speed, technical fluency, and attention to detail have impressed me so far.
