Definitely, the project was not so easy, but the Dash team built it well. We have a smooth process, and daily activities, including client management, are done excellently. The app has a significant role in managing and maintaining the business process.

Yes, I can say the project was excellently developed. My business is widely popular now among doctors and nurses; they use the website and get all facilities, features, and functionalities they need to serve their purposes.

We needed a platform to facilitate the exchange between investors and sponsors. We decided to have a mobile app and a website, and we also needed Blockchain technology coded in the background to create a marketplace where assets could be fractionalized.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dash is developing our mobile app, website, and admin portal. They are building all those on top of Blockchain technology, and that incorporates a whole new level of complication since it involves smart contracts and cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum. They’re building our platform from scratch.

I currently work with 12 people. I’ve worked with Shani (CEO & CTO), Satya (Project Manager), some vice presidents, and some full stack developers. I’ve worked with each of them on multiple levels, whether it’s UI design or coming up with new ideas to help my company better.

I found them through a Google search. What caught my eye was they had been working with Blockchain technology, which was an essential component for making this idea work. 

They were very professional, and they had what it takes to fulfill my needs at face value. In addition, they were the first to go back to me. I contacted a couple of tech companies, but Dash was very prompt in their response. They organized a meeting, and it was very satisfactory.

We’ve spent about $250,000.

We started working together in July 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Dash’s work so far has been satisfactory. The most significant component is creating a website and app that’s attractive and functional. While the physical code is not set in stone, they have developed a series of prototypes that have met my expectations.

Along the way, I’ve been able to work with Dash to have everything designed according to my preferences. They’ve also done a lot of great work coding smart contracts and tokens; they’ve handled a lot of the confusing work that goes into it very well. I’m delighted working with Dash. 

I can see in the demos and prototypes that Dash provided that everything is going together really well. 

How did Dash Technologies Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Dash’s communication and scheduling have been excellent. If I send an email, I get an email right back. They’re very swift and coherent. They’re also very nimble when it comes to scheduling. 

Dash has been flexible in allowing us to finance the project on a monthly basis. They can cater to our needs throughout the project — for example, the workaround to accommodate my schedule. I haven’t had any problems with their team.

However, one small thing I think would help is immediate transparency. Sometimes, I have to ask Dash’s team what the next step is or what they’re currently working on. Having that presented to the client right away would be helpful.

We primarily communicate through email, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. They’ve also given us access to their Confluence and Jira accounts to see what they are working on at a given time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Dash’s competence is impressive, both in their technical skills and abstract thinking. The project has evolved a lot over the past few months. We started with many ideas, and Dash has been able to put together the pieces, even though some of them weren’t around. It requires a lot of creativity, brainstorming, and straight-up hard work to take our idea and manifest it to the tremendous physical projects that we’re seeing before us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their communication has been acceptable, but usually, it requires me to prompt the process. If they can offer an outline without a prompt and bring that prior to me requesting it, that would significantly improve our communication and project management. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you’re proactive. They are great workers, and getting involved is a positive way to make sure the project is going in the way you want it. Stay on top of the engagement and know how they’re going to do a task.

We’re a software company for medical billing and the workflows surrounding that. I’m the project manager for the software we’re developing, so I’m the mediator between the executives, managers, and developers.

We’re coming up with our software to address some of the challenges in our current business. We do many things manually, either through Excel or other workflow software, but we don’t have a centralized location to house all our data. Therefore, we’re looking to build our own software to encompass all the different applications that we currently use and centralize them in one place.

When we initially engaged with Dash Technologies, we had some meetings about what we wanted. We showed them some of the rough designs we had, and they gave their expert opinion about it. As soon as we signed with them, they engaged in a discovery process to fully understand the project from start to finish.

They took the bare bones and crude design and came up with something more robust and with a higher level of detail. They put all that into a business review document, which was a list of all the things that would be included in the project scope. Then, they started with the UI/UX design.

Throughout the process, they engaged with us biweekly to gauge where we were and present their designs. If they had something, they’d come to us and ask if their work aligned with our vision. We’d make some tweaks to it, and they’d bring it back to us.

After the design, they programmed it, and we were ready to go from there. Right now, we’re in beta testing and making updates.

Our meetings average from 5–35 people. We have a project manager, a UI/UX person, an entire development team, and so on.

So, first, we submitted our outlined project scope to the team, and they came with their researched data and documents. They suggested features that would help us detect imaging abnormalities with better accuracy, and they used a variety of AI and ML to build the module. It was delivered on time.

For what projects/services did your company hire Dash Technologies Inc, and what were your goals?

During the pandemic, everyone was pushing to connect with their patients without actually having to see them in person. We wanted to make it easier for patients and healthcare staff to connect without having to be in the same room. No one in the company had experience with telehealth, so everyone felt like this was a new environment. When we interviewed Dash, they not only explained to us in layman’s terms how to create an app like this, but they also helped us define a system of keeping up with paperwork through the app.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Of the 10 or 12 app companies that we interviewed; Dash was the only one who really made it clear what they’d do for us. They had experience in healthcare and didn’t get us bogged down in overcomplicated terminology. Their project manager helped us through the process, and we felt like we had a reliable partner in Dash.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

When we reached out to Dash, we had an idea of what we wanted, an app to connect healthcare providers with their patients. I had no clue about scope and the different technologies, and how there were different types of apps. Our VP discussed the technical requirements with the teams, and we decided to with a hybrid app. We were kept in the loop so that we could see the project progress on a daily basis, even though I was briefed about it by the Project Manager on a daily basis. The project was submitted to us on a deadline with a 6-month support guarantee.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked directly with their project manager. I think he had a couple of teams that worked under him. Whenever there was an issue, I could even get ahold of the CTO. It was nice to have everyone available to my team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They were committed and attentive from the very first day of the assignment, and it lasted till the day it was deployed. Whenever we reached out with an update, they would get back to me in a matter of hours. The post-development support was there in the policy, but it good to see how attentive they were to us even when we weren’t in a contract. For example, the team even helped us find other technical resources (which was not mentioned in the contract).

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

I knew nothing about project management in app building, and I did ask them about it. The app development was divided into two phases, and they kept me in the loop the entire time. We ran into a little snag at the end of phase two, but overall, I was pretty satisfied. There were a few communication channels that we constantly were in touch with the team, like email and Microsoft teams, but we also communicated through phone calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I could reach them any time and someone in their team was available whenever I needed them. Shani and his team really put the personal touch in their service.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Like I mentioned earlier, we had a delay on phase two of our project, but other than that, it was pretty smooth throughout.

Please describe your company and your position there.

My name Pandora Mcginley, and I am the Vice President of Beam St., a dentistry providing affordable, flexible, and pain-free oral health services.

For what projects/services did your company hire Dash Technologies Inc, and what were your goals?

Beam Street is a dental care service based in New York City. From fillings to cavities and more, we provide exceptional service to patients throughout the area. Because we wanted to make booking different dental services easier for our patients, we sought to build an app to connect patients with their providers whenever they had a dental issue.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

In 2018, our website began getting conversions after we used Dash’s services for our revamp. We interviewed other providers to do our due diligence, but Dash had already done such a phenomenal job that we had to ask them to build out this app. Their experienced team, excellent developmental process, and individualized attention was what really helped make the decision easy.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

I had my project scope ready and I shared it with Dash’s development team. They went over the project and discussed with our team the possible changes and suggestions. We went over initial app design, implementation of different features, like a “home hub” to keep track of dental visits and services, as well as the platforms we’d be using. We ended up incorporating cross platform applications for both Android and iOS platforms with post development support. The Dash team was experienced enough to understand the project scope and delivered exactly what we needed.

I worked directly with the project manager for daily reporting, but their CTO always made himself available when I had project concerns or questions. Aside from that, they assigned a team for development and a team for design with team leaders for each. I felt like my team, and I were always involved in the process.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The response was great! We connected better with our patients, and we found they were twice as likely to book an appointment when they were sent a push notification through the app. We also had fewer no-shows, and it kept us on track because of the synced calendar. We’re still currently working with Dash for our next project phase, and we are excited to be bringing more customizable features to the app.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The Dash team uses an agile development process in order to get the job done with an established deadline. In order to see day-to-day progress, we used Teams to communicate, Slack to keep up with project progress, as well as Gmail to send necessary documentation.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

You could really tell they cared about my input at every interval of the project. I couldn’t be happier with the collaboration and open lines of communication. I still speak to them weekly for post development support, and we are continuously discussing project improvements.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don’t believe so. Any project that you start means the risk of it not going according to plan, but even when there were hiccups, Dash was open in their communication and over delivered. I am extremely satisfied with their work.
