I’m a key account manager and project manager at BuzzFlick, an animation studio. We’ve been in this business for about five years. We do animated short clips, corporate videos, infographic commercials, complex 3D modeling, rendering, and more. We’re located in Houston, but we also have offices in Delaware, New York, and Dubai.

What challenge were you trying to address with CydoMedia LLC?

Our website had the same look and feel as when we started the business. Although it worked great for us, we’d grown exponentially, and it felt like we needed a brand upgrade on the site.

We wanted the website to reflect our values and updated brand guidelines so it’d represent us and be appealing to our customers. However, we were concerned that the project would make us lose a good chunk of our organic traffic.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CydoMedia used React for the frontend, Node.js for the backend, and a mix of newer JavaScript frameworks to create the look and feel we were looking for.

The website showcased our portfolio; users could view all our accomplishments over the years, including awards and client testimonies. It also had multiple options for people to fill in their details about our services.

Since we were already doing SEO on our old website, CydoMedia promised that the SEO wouldn’t be affected once they did the redesign and redevelopment. Additionally, our package included a year’s worth of maintenance.

We only worked with Daniel (Senior Project Manager). He was in charge of keeping everything organized on their end.

I posted on LinkedIn looking for an agency that I could actually trust. CydoMedia got in touch with us, and after a long process of due diligence and sorting between agencies, we finally decided to go with them. They were phenomenal in their communication.

We spent between $15,000–$25,000 on the entire project, including maintenance. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2022. They completed the website in two months, and we launched it in August 2022. Currently, they’re looking after our website, fixing bugs, and making sure it's running as optimally as possible.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since its launch, we haven’t faced any critical issues with the website. Before deploying the site on our main domain, it was live on a test link. CydoMedia used that to kill everything that might’ve caused us trouble. They made sure they fixed every bug before deploying it.

Moreover, the team did a phenomenal job redesigning and redeveloping our website. All of our organic SEO wasn’t affected at all, so they maintained our traffic and uplifted our brand. Overall, everything was seamless, and the project was a success. Currently, traffic is rising, and we’re getting more leads and engagement.

How did CydoMedia LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was flawless, and they were always ahead of their schedule by about 2–3 weeks. We used several tools; Zoom was for anything visual, and texts or emails were for minor communication. CydoMedia understood which particular tool to use to get the maximum out of it. Additionally, they used Asana for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They stood out from other providers because they honored the commitments they made. For instance, they promised that our SEO wouldn’t be affected, and the team delivered on that promise. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I honestly can’t think of anything they could’ve done to improve our experience. They were flawless throughout the project. In fact, I look forward to giving them all our future projects.

You should have an open mind and let CydoMedia take charge. They know exactly what they’re doing, and the team will fulfill all the promises they make. Just let them do their thing; you’ll be very happy with what they deliver.

We’re working on an overseas project. Our team has hired CydoMedia to help us with our business plan, pitch deck, hosting, and everything else related to this project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CydoMedia has created a pitch deck we can use during investor meetings. We’ve also worked with them on a number of phases for the release of an app. A few phases are currently on hold and waiting for approval. However, the team has already worked on the preliminary stages of the project. Our current goal is to get the product to the testing phase via an MVP.

In terms of features, the platform serves as a hub for businesses to connect and network with one another. Meanwhile, the app works on mobile devices and desktops.

We work with around 45 people, consisting of around 30 team members gathering the information we need for the product. David (Business Development Executive) and another person also work with me.

David has been excellent and responsive by text, phone, and email. I couldn’t ask for anything more from him. The other person is also highly available and technical. Overall, I’ve been super happy with them. CydoMedia performs at a high level. They’re great, and I’d definitely recommend them to others after our project is done.

How did CydoMedia LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

The team is truly reasonable in terms of costs and meets every deadline. To communicate, I usually call David; if he doesn’t answer right away, he usually calls me back within an hour.

What did you find most impressive about them?

CydoMedia’s responsiveness, communication, and the way they conduct business are impressive. I haven’t had any bad experiences with them.

No, there aren’t any.

Stay on top of the engagement. When working with CydoMedia, you also have to be timely when providing documents or other requirements — you can’t just sit back and expect them to do everything for you. As long as you’re doing a good job of providing what they need from you, they’ll do the same thing.

The site is now live, and the navigation and functionality have significantly improved. CydoMedia LLC produced high-quality work that made it easier for our members to discover information faster.

Their project management was very strong. They always stuck to the timeline and stayed within budget. We knew that Daniel in particular would always respond to us, even if it was a weekend. They were instrumental in helping us stick to the schedule, and any hold-up was always on our end.

They were incredibly patient and thorough in their process of discovering our needs. They worked around our schedule and met with us outside regular working hours. CydoMedia LLC went above and beyond to accommodate us throughout the process.

They were incredibly transparent, and helped us immensely throughout the process because we didn’t have a great understanding of the technology. We never felt like they were taking advantage of us.

It takes out a lot of the phone calls that I used to take, and allows me to keep up with everything in a much simpler way. I’ve gotten a lot of positive external feedback from customers. 

I’ve seen an increase in leads because I can direct my customers to the website. Instead of handing them a business card and explaining everything over the phone, they can browse through our different offerings.

They worked very fast and responded to any changes or feedback I had within 24 hours. They stayed on budget the entire time.

We hired CydoMedia to help us redesign and implement a new theme to our company website. Our previous skin feels stale, and we wanted to give it a good refresh to bring it into the current year.

We realized that this wasn't as easy as having me update a few elements on our website, so that's when we searched for a web developer to help us with this project.

How did you select CydoMedia LLC and what were the deciding factors?

After speaking with a few other vendors, I really liked their quick and direct communication. They followed up as promised, and within the timeframe they provided. The other vendors I interviewed simply did not, and that was a flag for me.

We provided CydoMedia with a Wordpress skin that we'd like built on our new website. Our portfolio style website is pretty straightforward, so working with them on adapting the skin to make sure it behaves exactly as we want, with tweaks to personalize the skin to match our company's vision as well.

Our firm's design process is rarely linear, so we've had some starts, holds, and lots of patience as we've worked through this project. CydoMedia has been able to adapt and bend with all of the difficulties and challenges faced.

I've worked with two people so far. Daniel West has been my main point of contact as Project Manager, and his teammate Irfan has been the main developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our in-progress website looks fantastic. They've taken all our notes and adapted them into the design, leaving us with a customized website that fits our brand and voice. We are still in the last stages of finalizing the project, but each iteration has been more and more cohesive.

Daniel has been extremely responsive and receptive during this project. We mainly communicate via email, and have had design meetings over Zoom to communicate updates and changes we'd like implemented.

As I said previously, our timeline has shifted significantly throughout our project but Daniel and his team have done an excellent job of going with the flow.

They make us feel like we're their only project and have been attentive and responsive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only area of improvement would be ensuring that all comments are picked up 100%. At times there is about 5-10% that is left on the table, but that hasn't impacted our progress.

We started with choosing a basic look for the site. They gave me one I really liked and we just started filing it with content and making appropriate changes. We ended with tweaking and polishing the site to be ready for launch. The team was very responsive the whole way through.

Making sure they hit all changes that are sent initially, improve initial deliveries so client isn't requesting changes that a designer would know to change such as broken formatting, unreadable text, etc...

For what projects/services did your company hire CydoMedia LLC, and what were your goals?

The project was to update the visual identity and create a new website for our restaurant client. Because we do not have in-house web development capabilities and the client was very budget conscious, it was great to discover Cydo Media. They were able to accomplish our design direction that aligned client’s budget. Daniel and the Cydo team was very flexible through the process as things changed and even as sections were added and amended.

The team was also very patient as we worked through technical glitches with fonts and the site’s responsiveness. We are very particular and detail oriented so we really appreciated Daniel and the team working through all the tweaks and updates throughout the duration of the project. They even helped us tie up specific loose ends like getting our hosting corrected and redirecting the old site to the new URL. It was a great experience overall.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I ended up taking to Facebook to see if any friends had web developers they could recommend. Cydo ended up seeing that and reaching out. Initially I was skeptical but I took a chance with them and I’m glad I did.

The project was initially to develop a site for a restaurant. In time we added an ecom component. The site needed to fit our design direction, with some specific functionalities and be responsive for various platforms.

2 consumer facing - Jacob and Daniel, with Daniel as our primary point person on the project. But I believe there were 1 or 2 developers I never communicated with directly.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I don’t have any metrics yet as the site just recently went live, but the client is happy it’s live and we’re happy the backend is accessible and easy to update.

The communication platform Cydo set up worked well and collecting our conversations in one place which was nice. It was also good to be able to upload images and attachments as we worked through the design issues over the duration of the project. Daniels responsiveness was timely and pointed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Cydo’s willingness to works with me as issues popped up and never getting huffy about my particulars and detail oriented feedback. Also their willingness to go above and beyond.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing that could improve would be that it took a bit longer than expected to get the fonts and responsiveness correct. Also the backend is pretty good and intuitive but can be a little touchy and a little trial and error to get things to look how I see them in my head. But I think that has more to do with the platform. All in all it was a great experience.
