Phase one was the website. They designed and built a fast, pre-rendered site (SvelteKit on Cloudflare) with service pages, success stories and resources written around what Newcastle buyers actually search for, with structured data on every page.
It's edited through CloudCannon, so I update it myself without touching code.
Phase two was the systems behind it. They built a custom MCP server that I installed in the Claude and ChatGPT accounts I already pay for. I ask in plain English, for example "send Sarah the report on 12 Smith Street", and it generates the property report from the data service, pulls the details together, finds Sarah in HubSpot, builds the report and emails it to her.
Because they host it, new abilities get switched on without me installing anything.
Then a lead qualifier. Every Instagram message, Facebook message and website enquiry goes to a worker where Claude reads it, works out whether it's a genuine buyer or someone selling leads, creates or updates the contact in HubSpot, puts it in the right pipeline stage and writes me a to-do with the context already in it.
Everything runs in my own Cloudflare account, every action is logged, and they keep it running under a managed plan with a monthly report. They're now working on the next piece, turning my inspection footage into social posts.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Pages load in under half a second, with perfect performance scores at launch on a new domain. A property report now takes one sentence in his own Claude or ChatGPT. Every social message and web enquiry is qualified 24/7 and lands in HubSpot with a to-do. Zero new logins to learn.

Straightforward. We agreed what each phase needed to do, Alex built it, I tested it on real clients and real enquiries, and we adjusted from there. Communication was over email and whatsapp and replies were quick, usually the same day. When something needed changing, it was handled without fuss.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They built around how I already work instead of handing me another system. I already used Claude, ChatGPT and HubSpot, so they connected those rather than replacing them. I ask my own assistant in plain English and their tools do the admin behind it. I didn't have to learn a new app or log in anywhere new, and when they add an ability it just appears. I've never had an agency do that before.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Croissant & Baguette could have done differently?
Not much. The first lead summaries needed a few corrections from me before I trusted them. That's by design, nothing goes out without my approval until it has earned it, but it's worth knowing you're part of the setup for the first week or two.

We engaged with Croissant & Baguette (C&B) to build out the MVP of the EdTripper platform. We had been using a basic wordpress site to launch our product with little success. We approached C&B to update and launch the office MVP as a test case on the next phase of the project. Not only did C&B support the development of the platform, they were influential in the design and execution of EdTripper. Our goals was to launch a V1 of EdTripper to capture the data we needed to continue to grow, we could not have achieved this without C&B.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I searched online and via personal networks to 6 potential vendors for this project. I selected Croissant & Baguette on the bases of past projects, knowledge of best in class tech and process as well as design skill.

Once we had established the outcomes we were looking to achieve in our scoping meeting, Croissant & Baguette briefed the designers. Once the team had delivered the wireframes, they started developing the product using the Javascript framework - Svelte. This helped support the speed and dynamic nature of the product that we needed. With weekly WIP's on the project, we saw a sandbox of the product within the first weeks of the project and clear deliverables were executed weekly.

A project manager was my main point on contact and we also used a designer and 1 developer from their team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The feedback from the product and design has been nothing but outstanding from our customers (and also investors) We can now use this MVP to further develop our product and raise further capital.

We had daily stand-ups with the team and larger weekly WIP's to manage progress. The main communication channels were slack and email. the team were extremely responsive at all times.
