The scope covered everything from early creative direction right through to the finished website. Creative Brand Design helped us shape a clear visual identity for the new sub-brand, making sure it felt fresh and inspiring but still connected to our core business. They designed the site from scratch, planned out the user journey, and built everything on WordPress so we could manage it ourselves easily. They also laid the foundations for SEO to give us the best possible start. The final result was a bold, visually engaging website that really tells a story – and positions us strongly in this new space we’re moving into.

Since launching the new site, we’ve seen a noticeable uptick in enquiries coming specifically through that brand, with users spending more time on the site and engaging more with the content. It’s also given our sales team a much stronger platform to direct clients to – something that reflects the quality of the experiences we’re offering. Internally, it’s helped sharpen our positioning and given us the confidence to push further into this market.

Their project management was solid throughout. We always knew where things stood, and they kept the process moving without overcomplicating it. Deadlines were met, and when we needed to tweak something or shift direction slightly, they were quick to respond and easy to work with. What stood out most was their ability to translate a fairly loose brief into something that looked and felt spot on. They didn’t just build a nice-looking site – they understood the story we were trying to tell and found a way to bring it to life visually. That mix of creativity, technical skill, and clear communication is hard to find.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Creative Brand Design could have done differently?

If I had to pick something, maybe a little more structure around the handover process would’ve been helpful – just a quick walkthrough or video guide for the CMS. That said, they were always on hand to answer questions, so it didn’t hold us back.

As a vocational training provider, it’s crucial that our website is user-friendly, accessible, and clearly showcases our courses and services—not just for learners, but also for employers, partners, and stakeholders.

The project involved a complete website redesign focused on improving user experience, mobile optimisation, and making it easy for our team to manage content in-house. We wanted the site to feel welcoming, be simple to navigate, and help visitors quickly find the courses or information they need.

No, they consistently missed the deadlines and I had to continually chase them to find out what was going on, as they went missing. 

I can appreciate that with projects, there sometimes needs to be some leeway, but it was becoming very frustrating when the communication lapsed and you had to continually follow up to find out what was going on.

The service was dreadful, would not recommend.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Creative Brand Design could have done differently?

Dreadful experience with Creative Brand Design. I have spent £27,000 and I can’t even see the website that has been built! Even when I could see the website, it did not work properly because no proper testing was put in place.

I have never written a review before, but the way I have been treated is not right, and I do not want anyone else to be in this situation. I am having to instruct lawyers to put this right and get my money back. All I wanted was a website to be built that works properly and it’s turned into a nightmare.

Throughout the project, we had deadlines in place which were all missed. I can appreciate that sometimes there needs to be some leeway with timings, but every single deadline was missed and I had to constantly chase them up to see what was going on as they went missing.

The customer service from Chris was appalling and he is never in the wrong, I had to constantly chase him up as he took ages to reply and when he did reply, it was conveniently at the end of the day on Fridays. A prime example was when I had not heard back for a long time, I called up the office and was told that Chris was not available / away for the whole day, I then called back up later as I suspected this was not true, and guess who answered the phone, Chris! I have never known anything like it.

Chris does not know what testing the whole website means either – They consistently missed major functioning details of the website and did not thoroughly test the whole website, they always did the bare minimum. Their explanation was that they have done the testing and that’s it, but never showed me any testing documentation which summed it up.

For the past 9 months, it's been constant excuses with nothing actually happening, to then be told that they cannot help anymore because they are too busy, it is ridiculous.

When you have spent the amount of money that I have, you expect a top level service, for the website to actually be completed, and to actually see the website!

I have spent £27,000 which is too much money to let this go and I wanted to make others aware, as it’s not been a pleasant experience with Chris and Creative Brand Design.

We respect every client’s right to share their perspective, but there are factual inaccuracies here that require clarification.

• Extensive Testing – From 3 June to 13 July 2022, we ran a six-week collaborative testing phase in BugHerd. During this time, 275 items were logged and addressed.
• Direct Client Participation – At least 38 issues were raised directly by the client, who was active throughout. The claim that no testing took place is incorrect.
• Scope and Delivery – The project was completed in line with the agreed scope. Timelines shifted only when inputs and approvals were delayed, and the site was handed over in 2022.
• Goodwill and Review Threats – In 2024, two years after handover, the client returned with a site hosted externally and altered without our involvement. By then, the project was long outside warranty and no maintenance plan was active. We still investigated and offered guidance as a goodwill gesture. When we declined further free work, the client threatened and later left a negative review.
• Communication – We are responsive through agreed channels, including email and a monitored ticketing system. Without a support plan, the client made repeated unscheduled calls. To describe this as poor communication is inaccurate.
• Functionality – We retain a full working copy of the handover version on our staging server, showing the site was delivered complete and functional.
• Legal References – While the review mentions lawyers, no legal proceedings have ever been initiated.

We stand by the work delivered and the documented testing completed. It is disappointing that, despite clear records, goodwill efforts, and the project being handed over more than two years earlier, the result was a negative review. Over 13 years we have delivered more than 500 websites, and this remains the only instance of such feedback.
