Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a co-founder and CEO of Buddy.ai - the AI tutoring company based in San Francisco.

For what projects/services did your company hire Cookies.games, and what were your goals?

Cookies.games helped us build and lunch the first versions of our mobile app-based virtual AI-powered English tutor for children.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for Game developers and experts in building for Unity game engine. We reached out to our network, and one of our investors introduced us.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Our product is the first of its kind, so starting from day one, building it required a lot of experimentation. Cookies.games handled Unity while our team worked on the AI part of the product and back-end.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had two Unity developers from Cookies.games working for ass full-time. Additionally, other professionals from Cookies helped us with many other smaller projects including VFX, sound design, UI.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Over the first year of our cooperation, we created and tested three prototypes. One of these prototypes was selected for the market launch. The App created with Cookies. Games support was featured on the App Store right after launch. By now the App was featured over 100 times and downloaded by over 3 million families worldwide.

Guys from Cookies games worked as a part of our team. We used the project management tools of our choice, including Slack and Jira. Communication was always easy, and we felt like we are one team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are expert developers with a vast network of professionals from adjacent areas. Working with them was easy and fun. They get deeply committed, understand the project, share the team's founders' goals and vision.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None.

I’m the art director and co-founder of Grafit Studio. We do 2D art outsourcing, concept art, and illustration for the game development industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cookies.games?

We needed help with a VR project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We collaborated on a VR project. We did the artwork, and Cookies.games did the coding, game design, and final setup. The team handled all the important parts, including 3D layout and engine implementation.The product was an educational VR game for a company that works with heavy machinery and electronic equipment. The user could interact with some equipment in an engaging way move objects, solve puzzles and learn through the process .

What is the team composition?

We worked with 2–5 teammates from Cookies.games.

How did you come to work with Cookies.games?

I found them through an online search. A friend who worked with them also referred them to me.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January 2021–December 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We finished everything on time, even though the deadlines were really tight. The client was quite happy with the performance of the app. They later signed one more project with us.

How did Cookies.games perform from a project management standpoint?

Cookies.games did a great job handling all the messy info from the client and structuring it in a manageable way. We were able to deliver on time because of their quick communication and willingness to help. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cookies.games’ personal approach and friendly communication were impressive. The team was willing to help and improve things, even if they were out of their responsibility.
