I’m a sales consultant at Topline Solutions, LLC, and have been in business for 10 years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Connections for Business?

We needed help with data cleanup and cybersecurity.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a lot of clients on our computers, including dozens of email addresses and all kinds of different passwords to different companies' software systems. It became overwhelming. We've hired Connections for Business to clean everything up and eliminate a bunch of old client information. We've also had the team install updated security, password controls, and protections.

We met with David, Connections for Business's owner, and had a discovery call. The team had tools to look at our systems and screen share. We went through all the highly complex file folder structures, emails, passwords, and more. David has taken me through a full review and discovery. Everything has been recorded and documented.

After that, one of Connections for Business's lead technologists built up a scope of work. The team has held an internal kickoff meeting at their office, reviewed the project plan, created a Microsoft 365 tenant, purchased 365 licenses, purchased MigrationWiz licenses, done a complete discovery, and then done the whole migrations and deletions. They've prepared the environment and cleaned everything up.

We thought all our files were in the cloud, but we learned they weren't; rather, they were on the desktop. We've established a Microsoft OneDrive migration in the cloud, which is another significant development piece. Connections for Business has also installed the LastPass system for password control. The team has set up new DNS records, tested new email flows, reconfigured my Outlook structure, and done penetration testing in the background.

Now, we have Connections for Business's ConnectCare program, so we have constant monitoring. We used to be responsible for everything before, but now we have a 24/7 monitoring system and tech support. I'd begun as a solopreneur, so I did everything myself. Now, I have an expert I can reach out to at any time.

Connections for Business also manages system updates and management on our devices as part of the ConnectCare program. The team has supported me in identifying and purchasing new equipment.

Connections for Business provides IT services for us. We started with a call where the team explained how they could help us and what their services would entail. We discussed it, and Connections for Business sent me an agreement. We reviewed it, and if I had any questions, their team was available to answer. We signed, and Connections for Business got started right away.

The team started by remotely migrating some data from one system to another. Connections for Business wrapped up the initial migration project pretty quickly, and they did such a great job that we decided to bring them on and have them serve as our outsourced IT company.

The team has installed software and cloud systems and continues providing us with IT support. They also help onboard and offboard new employees, set up their cloud systems, and answer any questions.

What is the team composition?

There's one main person that handles the initial setup and everything. Once the main project was done, Connections for Business handed me over to someone else to manage. Whenever we need assistance, we email their support address, and someone from there immediately responds. We've communicated with Connections for Business's owner and two of their teammates.

Connections for Business handled the initial migration quickly, and they've been super communicative and answered our questions. The team has gone above and beyond and tried to research to find an answer for us. The team is highly mindful to ensure that if our system has any downtime, they perform tasks after hours and follow up to ensure everything is going well.

For instance, when Connections for Business needed to implement the cloud PCs and security features for our employees, the team did a test run first to avoid any downtime to the system. We did a test, and when Connections for Business was ready to implement it, we did one employee to ensure everything was going well. The team had time to test it before pushing it out to everyone.

Connections for Business has been very thoughtful and has done everything on time. They ask for feedback and are very communicative.

We're super impressed by Connections for Business, so we continue using their services. If I send an email, I get a response within five minutes. The team responds right away and has exceeded my expectations.
