BUPA is a complex platform for SMEs. The work of COMET is to understand the needs of the Hungarian SMEs, and to align their needs with the roadmap of the BUPA project. Once this is provided, COMET has to design the UX of the features that are implemented in the platform, test the features, and then they have to provide the final UI surfaces for the developer team.

Our project was managed by COMET’s design team lead, Boldi. Boldi is a greatly skilled product designer, and also he is a very good project manager. Recently, our project was handed over to a new project manager, but we are still very happy with the collaboration. They are always very responsive, supportive and they deliver in time.

They had a very talented design team with clever, creative, and highly skilled people. It is very nice to collaborate with them, communication is flawless.

They recently started hiring more senior colleagues in their design department which is nice, as initially they had a smaller team with less experience. During the time of our collaboration they already changed a lot, and I believe that they will get even better in the close future.

Software elements tested and running. The project contained some R&D elements, therefore it was a challenge for the team to accomplish the functional requirements.

We had a fluent working relationship with the COMET team. We had direct contact with the CEO of the company, who was personally supervising the project, and we were working closely with the delivery team members in an agile environment, participating in the development process on a daily basis.

COMET has great people in their team. It is very nice to work with them - they were always open, created the best possible solutions, and collaborated with their clients professionally. They have great professionals in their team, highly skilled developers and designers, certainly can recommend them, and in case we have another project in the future, we will certainly work with them again.

Are there any areas for improvement or something COMET could have done differently?

We were very happy with the collaboration, however, unfortunately the project was not finished in time. We cannot highly criticize the team because of this, as the scope was pretty big and it contained pretty complex R&D features, and the timeframe was short with a lot of iterations, but still, the project timing could be improved.

The overall experience however was great, and the delays were managed professionally by the PM colleagues on the COMET side.

The scope of work for Comet encompassed a comprehensive brand design, website design, and website development using Next.js. The deliverables included a refreshed visual identity including typefaces, iconography, logo versions, a styleguide, typography work and wearables design. We also asked Comet to create a fully-responsive and user-friendly website. We let their imagination run wild and decided to completely rely on their expertise here so that they would have a chance to ship something bold and different.

PM was effective, there was no any interruption during the project. We used whereby and slack to communicate.

The team of 5mart Studio is still small, but dynamically growing, and during this fast growth, the team and the project management runs smoothly and agile. Besides the deep professionalism in the UX/UI area, they had a lot of interesting ideas and solutions. S,o they can help you to make your project better than you imagined.

As they are growing rapidly, it is a big challenge for them to hire new colleagues keeping their standards, and integrate the new members into the team. They are facing a change, they need to be able to manage it to become one of the market leaders in the region.

It was really needed to have a webshop which perfectly serves the demand of our target group, so we hired 5mart Studio to create a webshop. Our main goal was to have a neat but funky design (just like our brand) and a satisfying user experience both on mobile phones and computers.

First we discussed what were our main goals regarding the development of the webshop. Then they provided me the offer which consisted every details. After I accepted the precise offer, we had a meeting again to discuss further ideas.

Then I received a Miro board with the sitemap, which was very helpful for me to understand how the webshop will be built. After that I reveived the first and the second web-design planning by Adobe XD. I shared my comments on them, and the work went on. They always informed me about the current status of the planning, designing and the development.

I worked with two people, one of them was responsible for the planning and the web-design, while the other colleague was developing the webshop.

The project is ongoing, but my general feedback is very positive. The team was always prepared, up-to-date and on time. The webshop is almost done and I am very satisfied with the outcome. It is exactly what we wanted to create in design, UX and technology.

The team has a strict but flexible management style, which means on one hand they were on time thanks to the good strategic planning. On the other hand if I had something to change, they were flexible and always available to discuss with me the innovations. They use the right communaction tools. As if we had to share some documents, we used e-mail, but for meetings we could do it via an online video.

This company has very talented, up-to-date and committed employees, so their work is very effective. I find it inspirational because I work with different agencies, and this kind of effectiveness is quite rare. They are strongly skilled both from the creative side and the technological side.

I was satisfied with the process and the result as well.

Our website was visited many times and numerous participants already completed our online research surveys. The new apperance also helped us to reinforce our position in the field of applied medical sciences.

We had weekly online communications via emails and online meetings. The website was developed in steps, following all steps, samples were provided with pics, pdf-s and documents showing the actual status and web design. All steps needed an approval before moving front to new duties.

Minor bugs appeared in the first days of the activation, however, they recognized them quickly and fixed in time.

We cooperate with 5mart Studio in case of complex digital banking projects, where we had outsourced most of the UX/UI tasks and the complete procedure of animation video producing.

Our main goal was to build new and strong relationships in the financial institution sector which is our main target market of us. Beside of this these projects are great references and our main profit drivers as well.

We were looking for a supplier who has references, history and experience, but they are small enough to operating as agile as it is possible. We have selected 5mart after some deep interview.

We have provided digital banking products, services and consulting for our customers with some additional marketing tools just like animation videos, UX/UI elements and webpages.

We was responsible for the project management and all of the elements of the projects, but some of them came from our vendors, just like 5mart.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One of our banking customers started to providing POS terminals for the Hungarian market based on the strategy which made by us. In a later stage they started to build up a digital onboarding process for this activity.

Our company built up the online KYC process and some IT development, and they expanded the scope with animation tutorial videos and some other online marketing material.

With this package our partner is able to provide POS terminals in a convenient and innovative way, which is not least cheaper for them and for the end-users as well.

It was straight forward, there was no interruption during the project.

The team of 5mart Studio is small, but dynamically growing, and during this fast growth the team and the project management runs smoothly and agile. Beside of the deep professionalism in the UX/UI area, the Smart AR solution of them is amazing, I hope to have a chance to use it soon.

5mart Studio was hired to develop the daigeworld.com platform. They carried out first stage developments of the website, and migrated our previously existing webshop into Woocommerce within daigeworld.com, as well as installing the appropriate plugins to create a multilingual site.

A key request we had was to create a platorm with a very specific look that fits our original plans and visual expectations while remaining user-friendly and supporting e-commerce transactions, which 5mart Studio was able to deliver.

We continue to work with 5mart Studio and are in the process of further developments on the platform, which include a loyalty scheme, gamification, and development of a magazine that seamlessly integrates into the webshop to improve user experience.

The measureable outcome of the project is that daigeworld.com is up and running, and it has been done according to our plans and expectations.

The site is available in both Hungarian and English, Woocommerce is fully functional, we have multiple payment modules to choose from, our home page and magazine page look and work as we planned.

We received an e-commerce platform that supports our company’s goals and is a solid foundation for future improvements.

We communicated with 5mart Studio mainly through Slack and e-mail. We had face-to-face meeting to a lesser extent mainly due to the pandemic. 5mart Studio was flexible and adaptable, always open to our requests for meetings or calls and replied to our messages quickly and efficiently.

Mostly what I have already mentioned above: a high degree of professionalism and experience, great personal connection, reliable communication, flexibility and adaptability to the company they work for.

At the very beginning of the project we felt as though they did not have enough capacity to deal with arising problems or concerns from our end. However, they quickly assessed the capacity and resources our project required and effectively resolved this problem.
