I am the CEO and founder of a fintech infrastructure provider. We develop, design and provide neobanking infrastructure for financial and non-financial institutions.

We cooperate with 5mart Studio in case of complex digital banking projects, where we had outsourced most of the UX/UI tasks and the complete procedure of animation video producing.

During the tenders and the projects it would be an opportunity for us to name 5mart as qualified subcontractor because of their relevant references.

What were your goals for this project?

Our main goal was to build new and strong relationships in the financial institution sector which is our main target market of us. Beside of this these projects are great references and our main profit drivers as well.

How did you select 5mart Studio?

We were looking for a supplier who has references, history and experience, but they are small enough to operating as agile as it is possible. We have selected 5mart after some deep interview.

We have provided digital banking products, services and consulting for our customers with some additional marketing tools just like animation videos, UX/UI elements and webpages.

We was responsible for the project management and all of the elements of the projects, but some of them came from our vendors, just like 5mart.

What was the team composition?

There were involved 4-5 people from 5mart side as follows:

• UX/UI experts (2-3)
• video designer (1)

We kept in touch with the project manager, however, sometimes involved the senior UX/UI expert as well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One of our banking customers started to providing POS terminals for the Hungarian market based on the strategy which made by us. In a later stage they started to build up a digital onboarding process for this activity.

Our company built up the online KYC process and some IT development, and they expanded the scope with animation tutorial videos and some other online marketing material.

With this package our partner is able to provide POS terminals in a convenient and innovative way, which is not least cheaper for them and for the end-users as well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was straight forward, there was no interruption during the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team of 5mart Studio is small, but dynamically growing, and during this fast growth the team and the project management runs smoothly and agile. Beside of the deep professionalism in the UX/UI area, the Smart AR solution of them is amazing, I hope to have a chance to use it soon.

Are there any areas for improvement?

It could be a great way of improvement if they build their own development team. With this 5mart could be provide an entire range of digital services.

DAIGE is an innovative direct-to-consumer fashion startup based in Budapest, Hungary. We create one-of-a-kind garments with a small team, in limited, sustainable quantities, with special manufacturing processes.

We hired 5mart Studio to create daigeworld.com, an interactive, visually exciting, and user-friendly e-commerce platform. Our goals were to have this platform fully functional and available in multiple languages to support both national and international sales.

We found 5mart Studio through word of mouth, they were recommended to us by a trusted partner after we had an unsatisfactory experience with a different company.

We chose 5mart Studio because they exercised a high degree of professionalism and had a wealth of experience in similar projects. Furthermore, their and our teams were an instant fit personally, which was an important factor that helped to make our decision.

5mart Studio was hired to develop the daigeworld.com platform. They carried out first stage developments of the website, and migrated our previously existing webshop into Woocommerce within daigeworld.com, as well as installing the appropriate plugins to create a multilingual site.

A key request we had was to create a platorm with a very specific look that fits our original plans and visual expectations while remaining user-friendly and supporting e-commerce transactions, which 5mart Studio was able to deliver.

We continue to work with 5mart Studio and are in the process of further developments on the platform, which include a loyalty scheme, gamification, and development of a magazine that seamlessly integrates into the webshop to improve user experience.

We worked with three people, two lead developers and a general manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The measureable outcome of the project is that daigeworld.com is up and running, and it has been done according to our plans and expectations.

The site is available in both Hungarian and English, Woocommerce is fully functional, we have multiple payment modules to choose from, our home page and magazine page look and work as we planned.

We received an e-commerce platform that supports our company’s goals and is a solid foundation for future improvements.

We communicated with 5mart Studio mainly through Slack and e-mail. We had face-to-face meeting to a lesser extent mainly due to the pandemic. 5mart Studio was flexible and adaptable, always open to our requests for meetings or calls and replied to our messages quickly and efficiently.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Mostly what I have already mentioned above: a high degree of professionalism and experience, great personal connection, reliable communication, flexibility and adaptability to the company they work for.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the very beginning of the project we felt as though they did not have enough capacity to deal with arising problems or concerns from our end. However, they quickly assessed the capacity and resources our project required and effectively resolved this problem.

We are always wanted to connect our analog posters with the online world and the AR technology is a very good and interesting way to do that. Since we didn't have specialized resources in-house, we reached out to an external AR development team.

We announced a competition for digital solutions as part of the Golden Blade creative competition in Hungary. The best solution was presented to us was the AR technology by 5mart Studio.

AR arrived to browsers. Customers can be reached with higher efficiency with ‘on the spot’ digitizing, and there is no need to download additional applications. Standing in front of the poster, the surface can be brought to life with a lightning fast process for an intensive visual experience.

We haven't fininshed our project yet, but our customer is pleased with the results we reached so far.

During development, we had almost daily email contact, and weekly video calls with their project manager and development team to make sure everything was on track.

They offered high-level webAR development at an affordable price, and their team often suggested alternative solutions to technical challenges. They provide quick and detailed feedback on everything.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything was fine, but if I have to highlight something, maybe they should expand the repository of their solutions a little bit, to make their product more versatile.

We hired 5mart Studio to completely UX research and UI design our mobile application from scratch.

How did you select this vendor?

We interviewed around 3 different firms and their price/value range seemed the best.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Their team conducted a smaller research (which was totally sufficient for us) and then started wireframing and moodboarding. Finally, the final designs started to come for all the screens. We ended up with around 200 screens in a prototype.

Two designers were working on the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've got we agreed on and more. Also they provided a couple of iterations for us as well for specifiy flows/screens. The final outcome can be considered a success for sure.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their communication was pretty good, we received demos and updates every week. We missed the deadline with a few days but it wasn't a big deal.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their thought process is spot on. They really wanted to understand the product and not just design a great interface.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Maybe a better prototype at the end could be more flashy. (with animations, or motion design)

Working e-mail addresses and website. Sometimes there are small task to fine tune.

We have not worked so much yet to say any impressive. Yet. It may change in the future.
