I’m the CEO for Funly Events. We do global corporate hospitality packages.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cofa Media?

We needed to have some mobile contests and social media marketing done.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped come up with gamification of a contest where points were given and a contest was run on social media, in parallel with our acquisition of customer information. They did some lead generating and social media, but the mobile platform for contests was the main focus of their efforts. They handled the entire mobile side of things, including push notifications.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Edwin (CEO & Co-Founder), along with a few other people.

How did you come to work with Cofa Media?

A colleague of mine introduced me to Edwin several years ago.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $85,000 - $95,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August 2015 until March 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were successful. Edwin and his team were good at reacting to the current marketplace. I would hire them again with a specific scope of work.

How did Cofa Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Edwin tends to be overly optimistic regarding deadlines. We missed a few, though it wasn’t entirely the fault of his team. They’re easy to work with and charismatic. They were available and responsive when we called them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They stepped up to meet any requirements given. Edwin was a good strategist, as well. They got the results we were looking for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think Edwin could be more aligned with his offshore team and the project managers at that end. It can be challenging with offshore teams, so I get it. That is the only improvement I would suggest.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to present a clear scope of the work upfront and make your expectations clear.

I’m the head of marketing for a small medical device startup. We make an intravascular device used in peripheral vascular surgery.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cofa Media? 

As a regulated industry, we have the challenge of wanting to promote awareness of our technology, yet we aren’t allowed to make any claims.

We worked with another agency that assisted us with branding. I took these ideas to Cofa Media and asked them to develop a website. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We are in the early stages of our company and are still working through developing our device and getting it FDA-approved.

We had them design a site that provided information about our company, what we do, and what the core technology is so that we could attract strategic partners, investors, and future customers. They developed the site using WordPress. 

What is the team composition? 

My main point of contact was Edwin (CEO & Co-Founder), but there were two or three other people involved at various stages of the project. 

How did you come to work with Cofa Media?

I’ve known Edwin for some time since I worked with him on a website for a different company. 

How much have you invested with them? 

We spent between $10,000-$20,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in the fall of 2019, and we launched the site at the beginning of 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Analytics isn’t as important in this industry because we’re focused on marketing towards a smaller group of peoples in the medical field (i.e. surgeons and cardiologists). 

The most important goals for me were delivering the site quickly and developing it on a platform that is easy for us to update on our own. They worked effectively and the project went smoothly. 

How did Cofa Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Edwin was always easy to get a hold of. The team was accommodating to my schedule and we never had trouble planning a meeting.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was happy with everything. Things were done right the first time, and they were able to address roadblocks quickly. 

Are there any areas they could improve? 

I don’t have any complaints.

Take advantage of their skills as communicators and keep in contact with them throughout the project.
