They delivered high-quality development (usually only minor bug fixes). Once communication moved from e-mail to trello, it became very transparent to monitor progress and answer any questions the developers had. They delivered the original requirements on time, overall project saw some delays on our side and Cordonnier was extremely flexible in adapting to that, which we greatly valued.

They are super fast and deliver great quality. We worked with a different company before and the difference was quite impressive.

we initially started discussing bugs via e-mail and communication was a bit difficult with some unnecessary forth-and-back. After moving to Trello, this was immediately resolved and we are very happy now.

I am the CEO of a live streaming technology company servicing youth sports, schools and tournament facilities. We are based in Los Angeles.

We developed a scoreboard solution to overlay over our live streams and wanted a mobile app companion for users to update live scores. Codonnier developed our mobile app and online admin tool.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for developers and narrowed our choices to 3. We chose Codonnier because of their portfolio, quick understanding of the project, professionalism of our account manager, schedule and budget.

We had a discovery meeting and delivered the user flow and designs for the mobile app and admin tool website. Within two weeks we had a prototype of each. We then provided feedback and updates were completed. Codonnier then managed submission to the App Store on our behalf and deployed the admin tool. The app passed certification on the first try within 24 hours of submission.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with a project manager and at least one coder. There may have been others involved, but we had direct interaction with them. They did a Zoom to review and capture notes after the first delivery, and actually updated functionality in real time in our session.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We just deployed the app and are rolling it out to customers. The direct feedback from our sports leagues include the ease of use is fantastic and the crowd sourced scoring adds tremendous value to the live streams. We had many 5 star reviews in the App Store from customers and their end users out of the gate and they continue to grow.

The Codonnier team was responsive, communicating at release dates and then daily during fine tuning and release. We conducted Zooms during the initial briefing, when requirements updated and during final release. Primary communication was online messages and emails.

They quickly understood the requirements and understood the functionality of the designs provided and turned a working product within 2 weeks.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We wouldn’t have changed a thing. The team was great to work with.

They’re great. One of the things that blew me away is how they give me suggestions based on their expertise. They’re not just building based on my specifications; they’re giving guidance based on best practices. We communicate via Zoom and the messaging app on Upwork.

Codonnier delivers high quality of work for the price. They also give excellent feedback during the free consultation. That guidance really helps.

No, nothing comes to mind.

We hired them because we needed a mobile app for artist to come together on. So our goal was to create, essentially, a new social media platform.

I found them on upwork, and I picked them between the other few I had because I looked through their reviews and some of the apps they created and fell in love with their work. Also they seem to produce better work for a lower price.

We started off with a video chat and then got right to work after that. We communicated back and forth almost everyday. I sent him some sketches and the color pallet and he took what I had in mind put his little twist on it and sent me pictures of it and only moved forward if I gave him the okay. The project would’ve been completed sooner if I was more prepared on my end.

Since the completion of the app, we haven’t tried to market it just yet, however we have shown it to a reasonable amount of people and let them try it out and there has been nothing but praise from it.

Very very easy to communicate, we communicated over WhatsApp. Every week I was getting a new updated version of the app. They moved very quickly.

I did a TON of due diligence while selecting providers for the app. The main grading criteria I was evaluating was costs, communication, quality, and partnership.

After selecting the Codonnier team to work with we went through an extensive process of designing out the app, from there we went into the creation of the iOS app. Once we were happy with how that was going we started on the Android version. Within 6 months we did a BETA launch of the product, and officially launched ono the appstores. Now we continue to work with the team to refine the app and add new features.

We worked with Priyank as the main project manager. The technical resources to start were 1 iOS developer, 1 Android developer, and a part-time admin panel developer

Within the first 2 months of launching, we received over 3K+ downloads and over 100+ paying subscribers as well as numerous 5-star reviews.

Priyank the main project is incredibly easy to communicate with compared to other project managers I have worked with. We have never had any major delays in terms of deliverables. The main tools we use to work on are skype for chat and Trello for management but the Codonnier team is always open to making refinements to process and implement new tools.

PARTNERSHIP! This is huge, whatever their team says, they do. If there are issues they tackle them, if the issues come from their end they own them both in terms of feedback & cost. You honestly cannot ask for more in my opinion, because problems are always going to arise and it's how everyone reacts which makes or breaks the relationships.

Nothing stands out specifically! Do yourself a favor, and at least give them a chance to earn your business!

I’m the CEO of Mindprogress AB, a psychological organization. I’m a mental counselor and a speaker, and I also moderate conferences. We help people grow and develop.

What challenge were you trying to address with Codonnier?

We wanted to make the world’s first mental travel agency in the form of an app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Codonnier developed a meditation app that has special techniques that are developed in Sweden. At first, we made it for iOS, then we made an Android version. It has sound and picture files.

The design was made by me but the team was involved in the process. Sometimes there were things that didn’t work very well technically and they helped. The user uses the app for meditation, listens to the sound files, and reads the text. There’s also a schedule to remind users to meditate.

I was in contact mostly with Priyank (Project Manager).

How did you come to work with Codonnier?

The way Priyank presented his concept online and also the way he approached me was very thorough. He was very clear and professional. This is the reason I chose him. We had a good conversation from the start. He also seemed trustworthy.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August 2018–November 2020. We released the iOS version in July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There haven’t been any crashes on the app since the release. Due to COVID-19, the budget that was supposed to be used for marketing the app couldn’t be used for that. At the moment, the app has 400 users without marketing. 

Now, I’m going to start marketing. People are recommending it to each other, and I only get positive feedback. Since meditation is private, I don’t have any control over the user at all. On the App Store, there are good reviews with only five and four stars.

How did Codonnier perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was really good. The project was outlined from the start, and Priyank sent me schedules, what to expect, and all the details. Everything went really well. We communicated mostly by email or Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What distinguished them was their great communication, ability to deliver on time, and programming knowledge.  When I had an idea, the team would advise me on other ways to do it and explain why. As someone who has never made an app before, the advice Codonnier gave me was very valuable.
