From the very beginning and till this moment, the CML Team is showing full dedication to the product and the team, with them we were able to release the very first version of a new application and continue our growth. Besides the talented engineers they have, we’re always in contact with their co-founders, so they can assist on any issue and question we might have.

We’ve been working with the CML Team quite a while, starting from 2018. Throughout the years, they are showing a full dedication to us. With them we were able to release the very first version of CryptoTax product, survive through the huge crypto and financial markets fall back in 2020, recover and expand.

xamoom developed a mobile-first content management system that makes location-based services available to everyone. I’m xamoom's CEO and cofounder. In my position I am responsible for sales and all customer contact on one side and for product development on the other side.

We were looking for software developers in Austria and could not find any in the quantity and quality we needed. So we decided on outsourcing our whole app development to CML. xamoom's core product is along it's content management system and our mobile web the mobile SDKs and mobile apps.

We not only needed development resources that met our quality standard, we also got enormous flexibility from our partnership with CML. We can now develop much faster than we could do in the past with our resources at home.

What were your goals for this project?

We’ve started our partnership with CML Team LTD helping us in developing and shipping brand new Wörthersee native iOS and Android apps for the client we have in the tourism industry.

After this was accomplished meeting our standards, we outsourced more and more apps and also our SDKs to CML. But our ultimate goal was to have a long-term partner who will be able to jump in various components of the product we’re working on.

In the beginning, we were working on the Wörthersee (a tourism destination in Austria) native iOS and Android apps. Those apps were based on our open-source SDK, CMS API, and required a number of third-party integrations and customizations (i.e., event database, guest card service, weather data).

CML helped with finishing and shipping both apps into the marketplaces (App Store and Play Store). We were very satisfied with the quality of work and speed of delivery.

And extended our collaboration further on building the iOS and Android apps for Éislek, a tourism region in the North of Luxemburg. CML's developers also do maintenance work (updating SDKs and functionality) on various other apps for our customers.

Lastly, the team helps us further developing our smart app, the core product of xamoom. It's a ready-made native app that can be rolled out in a matter of hours.

What was the team composition?

The size of the team varied from one to two full-stack/mobile software engineers, with partial involvement of a delivery manager at the early stages of collaboration.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Go to the app store and search for Éislek or Wörthersee and you will find the apps. Also, search for xamoom to find our smart apps that are not just deployed for customers but that we also use to demonstrate our core capabilities. We are satisfied with the outcome.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We meet twice a week for the sprint planning (Monday) and the sprint review (Friday). We specify tasks and features using Jira Cloud and Google Drive. During the week we communicate using our Slack channels. The process is efficient and effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive is their wide and profound expertise in various tech stacks and programming languages as well as dedication to the product and goal-driven approach in addressing problems that occur on the way.

Working with the guys from CML does not feel as outsourcing, it seems as if the team there is an extension of our team. We’re looking forward to more interesting and challenging tasks together.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Sometimes the geographical distance is not great, but it happened just once. USB cables are just not long enough to bridge Austria with Kiew. But otherwise ... we are really happy.

In the beginning, we had various requirements that the client wanted to achieve by leveraging the Etlworks middleware layer. Our goal was to gather all those requirements, evaluate the feasibility of the project, assess dependencies, and estimate the efforts required to execute it smoothly.

CML Team Ltd helped with finishing this task. We were very impressed with the approach and speed of working on that task, and we hired them to implement the project with us for the client. After deploying the project to production there are a number of follow up projects we’re working on together.

When we started the project, the initial framework and design of the systems were already developed internally. The key focus was on expanding the functional deck of the system and developing new views that could support and replicate processes. The platform is connected through a broad variety of APIs to different backend systems and allows us to control all business processes.

In the beginning, we were working in weekly sprints, and after some time, it shifted to two-week sprints. Our team prepared all functional specifications and tickets. After discussing those with CML Team LTD, the functions were moved to development.

What were your goals for this project?

My goal for this project is to create one of the most played DApp games on the market. I want to create a lasting IP with multiple sequels and a lasting, ever-growing community.

I interviewed over 30 candidates from UpWork. Basil (Co-Founder, CML Team LTD) stood out in several key factors. He seemed the most knowledgeable, his price was fair, and most importantly for me, he was very enthusiastic in taking part in this project.

Later I hired a web developer, per Basil's suggestion, to take over the web development part of the project. The web developer showed a lot of competency in the required areas. He quickly learned the work that the previous web developer had done and started working on the future of the project, making the switch over less detrimental than I had anticipated.

Basil creates all the smart contracts that are the foundation of this game. He also works with the web developer to create the systems that let the website talk with the blockchain. The web developer takes all my website designs and converts them into a functioning website, mostly using React. He works with Basil to link up the site with the blockchain.

Basil is the solidity developer. Roman is the web developer. I also work with an artist.

The success of our firm relies on this project, and so far they’ve been meeting expectations.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They’ve missed a few deadlines. Sometimes that’s been because of my lack of planning, and some by the team underestimating the time certain parts would take. Overall, I have been happy with the project management.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They bring a deep level of understanding of the core base of knowledge needed to do their respective jobs. A lot of this project consists of systems that have not been built before, but they can execute the work with confidence and success because of their base knowledge.

Basil has been amazing to work with. He has great attention to detail, and his code is immaculate. He comments his code wonderfully, which makes it easy for me to find things, and allows for easy expansion of the team. The web developer is very intuitive and he is able to figure out the details of a system without me needed to explain everything.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could be better about planning their workload to hit deadlines more reliably, but I should also be better about staying on top of the project. Their web developer also has room to improve with regard to his language skills, but I’m confident that he will.
