The team has already completed the research phase and created all the necessary components for further system development. A roadmap for the implementation of AI has also been created, and the creation of an LLM-based section has also begun. The task will also include the mandatory use of intelligent document processing and expanding functionality in both the web and backend versions. 

Everything is starting to work according to the approved plan, and the modules that will be the foundation of this project have been created.

The third-party client ended up going with another vendor, so we didn’t complete the project. 

Nonetheless, CloudFlex was incredibly professional and on top of everything. They were forthcoming with what they knew and didn’t know. I was happy with everything they did, which was quite extensive.

CloudFlex hit every target they said they’d hit — their project management was perfect. The team was highly communicative and organized, and I would’ve enjoyed continuing our work with them. Meanwhile, our primary means of communication was through email.

CloudFlex designed and developed a great MVP that we are very happy with. All of the required site functions work as expected and no requirements were missed. The site has already been getting great feedback from early users.

Communication with CloudFlex could not have been better. We used Trello boards, Notion and Discord for project management and communication. We really appreciated that the project lead was available at anytime to discuss the project or answer any questions. CloudFlex delivered the project efficiently within the timeframe we agreed to.

I have worked with many vendors but not many have gone above and beyond basic requirements. CloudFlex is a company with very talented developers that will work hard to make sure your project is successful. It was a pleasure working with developers who understand a complex business and considers every technical aspects effect on the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with CloudFlex?

We needed help with mobile app development. In particular, we brought them in to cope with a key project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we initially contacted CloudFlex, we were looking to extend one of our mobile apps to include an in-app video chat. This change introduced a new interface and UX, along with related network calls required to perform those actions and open those channels. In the end, they introduced some key features, such as UX improvements, analytics tracking, and various testing services. We used Swift and Kotlin for these efforts.

After our positive experience with this critical project, we continued our relationship with CloudFlex as a form of staff augmentation. Since then, we’ve also worked together on a mobile app on Flutter.

The first project was a great success. It supported one of our large brand clients, so our benchmark for success was just the customer’s satisfaction and our ongoing relationship with them. Overall, they’ve performed up to our expectations.

How did CloudFlex perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve had some project management interaction from their side, but most of the project management roles are managed in-house. However, they’ve been great about being budget-conscious and raising concerns around slowdowns and obstacles to their performance. Moreover, they’ve performed above typical staff on a project, identifying areas of improvement and alternate approaches to achieve the project’s objectives.

Communication is mainly via Slack and Zoom. The frequency and their overall communication skills have been nothing short of impressive. Additionally, we use Shortcut for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their strength is their dedication to making projects and products a success. They have a product mindset above any competitor. They’ve identified weaknesses and the impact of decisions on existing and new products. Other teams often aim to get to the end state as quickly and easily as possible, even if it means introducing a certain amount of bad tech. Therefore, we really appreciate their team members; they come to these initiatives with the best solution in mind.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we’ve been nothing but ecstatic with CloudFlex. We intend to continue our relationship.

Come with an open mind regarding your expected approach and seek their input and advice. They’re more than trusted engineers that can build your idea exactly to your specifications. CloudFlex comes with a lot of experience; you’ll only benefit from them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CloudFlex is helping us develop a real-time video app that uses advanced camera features. It specializes in manipulating and sharing large HD video files, so it’s not a trivial app to develop. 

We plan to eventually use the app for TV; it’s a TV-quality video capture app for news organizations. Currently, it’s in the market for iOS users, but it will eventually be available on all platforms.

CloudFlex was introduced to us by another dev shop that didn’t have the resources to resolve the challenges presented by the app.

We haven’t officially launched the app for news organizations, but we’re working on deals with other groups. Moreover, people who have used it give it a 4.5-star rating. It has also won awards. End users say the app is polished and robust. It doesn’t crash and it works. 

Overall, I’m 110% satisfied with CloudFlex’s work — they’ve exceeded our expectations. They’re superb. 

How did CloudFlex perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is excellent. I respect that they’re willing to argue with me — the most valuable developers are those that tell you when your ideas are bad and not those that simply do what you tell them. That’s critical to success. I have a master’s degree in computer science from Stanford, but CloudFlex always teaches me things — they’re highly sophisticated. 

To communicate, we have a weekly hour-long Zoom call. We also do on-demand calls as necessary.

What did you find most impressive about them?

CloudFlex has technical excellence and proficiency. Their strategy is to go high, so they carefully choose their clients and hire only the best developers. The Ukrainian market is crowded, and they’ve chosen to go to the top of the market; they go for quality instead of quantity. 

On top of that, we click together. We move quickly and finish each other’s sentences — it’s like they’re my own team.

No, there aren’t any. I couldn’t be happier with their services.

Bring CloudFlex difficult problems. If you’re not trying to solve hard problems, you can go to other teams that are less expensive. Remember that you get what you pay for — if you have tough challenges, then go for CloudFlex. They’re not no-code developers.

We had to update mobile apps (both iOS and Android) for coffee shops. Bean product serves the local coffee shops and Bean providers to engage the audience and generate more revenue by sharing the knowledge about the product through the target audience.

The software gives the ability through the server-driven UI and web panel to generate different questionaries and collect live feedback which is extremely important for customers (coffee brands, local coffee shops). They are also able to put the videos so that the end-users can see the product or place intro and understand it better. Each questionary responded is paid accordingly and able to withdraw to their PayPal account.

Also, through the app, the shops can make some training for their employe which is very effective. The main goals were to redesign and update the existing apps.

We've been working with Cloudflex on some small projects in the past. And we decided they would be a good option for our new projects as they already showed a high level of delivery, good communication, and responsiveness.

All the items worked well which helped to increase hundreds of percents revenue for our customers by providing them the data source to the required target audience with a smooth UX inside of the apps.

They are very self-organized, able to cover any tasks in the mobile development suggesting different options and explaining pros and contras of each one, the level of communication is also great. You can always be sure you are aligned with the dev team.

The guys are not too big, so if you plan to have some kind of enterprise project and need to involve a big team, that might be an issue. However, they are super suitable for startups and SMB.
