I’m the founder and CEO of You Squared Inc. I create motivational goal products that empower people to reach their greatest potential.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with CIANIC?

One of my biggest challenges was creating a beautiful logo that was also a wordplay. I didn’t like my original idea because it didn’t look good, so my attorney recommended looking for external help and getting my logo designed by a professional company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Originally, CIANIC helped me design my logo, providing me with a lot of creative options to choose from. Initially, they were interested in knowing what I was looking for, so they asked in-depth questions about my business. I shared the meaning behind the name of my company, and they provided different creative ideas and concepts, which we then narrowed down.

As part of the design process, they also created a custom font for my logo, which I didn’t ask for but really appreciated. Then, they took care of designing it in Adobe, taking care of every layer to get the desired results. After that first project, I used them for a few different other projects; they helped me a lot.

The next project after the logo design was for sticker design. It was a complex project because we had to follow the rules established by sticker manufacturers in the US. Among these rules were specifications for the size and separation of the designs, which didn’t work well for what I had envisioned. However, their team worked on new designs that met the manufacturer’s specifications.

The third project I hired CIANIC for was for the design of the entire planner I sell to my customers, which features 180 pages. Its design also involved many specific design requirements, and it had to meet my desires simultaneously. In this project, their team brought their creative ideas to the table to meet every requirement.

In addition to those projects, CIANIC also designed my business cards. I didn’t want them to be boring, so I decided to make them squared and have a gold finish. To accomplish this, their team had to do extra design work to get the gold finish to work for our purpose. Moreover, they helped me design marketing materials for tradeshows, including custom table cloths, signs, and more.

I mainly worked with Ryan (Founder),  but I know that a few other people were working on the project, too.

How did you come to work with CIANIC?

I was looking on Google for good design companies to work with. The first one I found didn’t seem to be enthusiastic about the project, so I kept searching and found CIANIC. They had really good reviews, and Ryan answered all my questions when I talked to him. He demonstrated to be well-versed and knowledgeable, and I felt like he really cared about my business, so I felt comfortable hiring them for the logo design project. Since then, I’ve kept going with them for every design need I‘ve had.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $5,000 across the different projects.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around September 2020, and our last project took place in November 2021. However, if I need them again, I simply get in touch with them. So far, it has taken them between a few weeks to a month to complete each project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of CIANIC’s work is excellent; they’ve gone above and beyond my expectations. The business cards they designed for me are stunning and convey a lot of attention to detail, which gives me the confidence to give them to potential clients because they speak volumes about my business. Additionally, they designed very beautiful marketing materials, and they brought my vision to life with the sticker designs.

As for the logo design specifically, Ryan did an excellent job taking care of every aspect of it. Their attention to detail during the design process was excellent, and I could easily request changes for it if needed. Since we made it public, everyone has been amazed by it and all of my unique new designs, helping me impress people and attract new clients.

How did CIANIC perform from a project management standpoint?

CIANIC’s project management was excellent, and working with them was effortless. Moreover, they’re excellent at time management. For example, the planner design project was on a tight deadline because I needed to send the planners to production by a certain date. However, I trusted their team, and they nailed it.

CIANIC is also very understanding and timely. On every project, they estimated a little bit more time than actually necessary just in case something took a little longer or I wasn’t quick to respond. However, I always responded quickly, so things went faster. We mainly communicated via email and phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve used CIANIC for different projects because they always take care of me and my business. Their work is amazing, and they always overdeliver, offering creative ideas to tackle every project. Working with them is a no-brainer.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tell them your ideas but also be open to their creativity. They’re very creative, so if you allow them to provide you with their input, they’ll take your ideas to a new level.

I’m the CEO and owner of Circle G Movie Ranch. I’m also the COO of Boxing Cat Entertainment, a production company.

We needed a company that could provide us with web development support.

What was the scope of their involvement?

For the production company, CIANIC built a website for one of our clients. For my personal business, Circle G Movie Ranch, CIANIC designed and developed a website and helped drive business to it by handling our SEO.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Ryan (Web Designer) from CIANIC.

How did you come to work with CIANIC?

I found CIANIC through a referral. I met with him over lunch to discuss what he does, his pricing, and the different packages they offered. We started working together shortly after.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $2,600 on the site.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–August 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site has proven to be an extremely successful tool in growing my business. In fact, I’m getting more business from this new site than from the two sites I already had. I’ve also seen an improvement in our site rankings. I’m also pleased with the site’s design. CIANIC put up beautiful pictures, and the site looks professional and is easy to navigate.

How did CIANIC perform from a project management standpoint?

CIANIC performed well in terms of project management. They delivered everything they said they would right on time. They did a great job of updating and maintaining the site. They were also fairly priced.
We typically communicate through phone calls and text messages.

What did you find most impressive about them?

CIANIC is extremely knowledgeable in everything they do when building websites. They kept me informed throughout, and they were incredibly responsible. They've never wavered — they're always there for me. In today's world, that says a whole lot.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no complaints.

Make sure to sit down and talk to Ryan about what you need. He’s very good at taking an idea and making it happen.

Please describe your company and your position there.

My company is a local flower shop that caters to the cemetery and special events in the area. I am the company owner.

For what projects/services did your company hire CIANIC, and what were your goals?

I wanted a website to compete with the other local flower shops in the area. I wanted my website to be fast, easy to use and look as beautiful and the flowers we sell. I also wanted the website to be a tool for customers to contact us and understand what we offer before coming to our shop.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for website developers and found CIANIC in our local area and very fast to respond. We had a meeting where they answered all of our questions and even gave us a free consultation on what they thought would help us the most. We chose them because they are real people who are from our city and are willing to meet face to face even though their business is online. The sense of trust and comfort they provide is why we chose them.

CIANIC developed our website with all of our requirements in mind. They provided step by step feedback on the project and made sure we were happy with all aspects of the website. They provided us with product photography and a logo design as well so we would not have to look other places. They are so honest and professional their work is amazing and they worked with our budget. We also get to talk to the owner Ryan who is not satisfied until he knows the work is more than we expected.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with the owner Ryan and his wife Britnie primarily. But they have a small team of professionals they work with for specific details on the projects. We only have to speak to one person which makes things so easy and they take care of the rest.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our flower shop has grown so much since the website launch it is the only reason our company survived COVID-19. Google traffic has increased so much that we now rank number one in our city. Our customers love the website so much they are asking for a feature to order online now.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

CIANIC communicates through phone call and email primarily. I love that we can call them and talk to a real local person instead of a chat bot or someone out of the country. They even will meet in person if required. I don’t know any other website agency in LA who will do that at their price points.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are able to operate and feel as a small firm but the work they do is so much more. They also communicate and offer help in areas we never thought to look at. They work so fast that we have never had to follow up with them. They also fully maintain my website for a fair monthly price.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None perfect. If someone complains about them they don’t understand who they are.
