Our company's name is Dialog Axiata PLC, and we’re the leading telecommunication provider in Sri Lanka in the private sector. I'm the head of the security vertical in the company.

Our main operations are in Axiata Malaysia, but we also operate in Southeast Asia countries like Cambodia, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

We hired Ceyentra Technologies to help us with custom software development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ceyentra Technologies provides us with business analysis, development, and productization on our behalf. They also do web and mobile app development and hardware integration.

Apart from that, They also provide cloud management, and we’ve implemented certain guidelines for them to maintain the infrastructure continuously — they run all the infrastructure management service platforms as per security guidelines and implementation guidelines.

On a business partnership level, we have contact with their CEO. On a development level, they have an account manager and a technology contact.

How did you come to work with Ceyentra Technologies?

They’re well-known experts in the Sri Lankan development domain market, so we reached out to them and told them what we needed to be delivered.

They demonstrated some of their work that we were impressed with and started them off on some smaller projects, which we scaled up based on their proficiency.

How much have you invested with them?

I believe we’ve spent a little over $100,000 on the projects so far. 

What is the status of the engagement?

We began our partnership in April 2020, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we deliver the enterprise security application to the customer, we have our automated ticketing systems where we collect customer feedback, questions, and complaints.

We analyze their performance through this system depending on the end customer's feedback, which they utilize to make continuous improvements.

How did Ceyentra Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They're great in terms of meeting the deadline within our budget. One app development project only took five weeks to complete, which is quite an impressive feat.

Apart from that, they’re very effective with communication and are always available when needed. 

They do their projects using the Agile methodology. This is important for us because our customer requirements change daily. We use Trello, JIRA, and Confluence as our main project management tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with how they were able to deliver the projects assigned to them within a very short time. We also like their approach to development and QA analysis.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would advise them to try and grow their business outside of Sri Lanka and expand to the Europe market as well. They’re doing well locally but they have the potential to do much better with an outside market.

Any advice for potential customers?

Seeing is believing, so don't just go for presentations. I would advise you to have a hands-on view of their developed software and architecture.

In that way, you will see what their capabilities are so you can gain the confidence to select them as your software partner.

I am the founder and director of Sridelivery, a food delivery app based in Sri Lanka. We are the only local food delivery app of our kind. I started the company in 2018 and took on two new partners in 2020.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ceyentra Technologies?

We were using another company for development, and there was a major issue with Google Play. The previous company made a violation, and I lost my application in Google Play. I had to run a whole campaign to get the application back, so I wanted to engage a reliable, professional company that I could trust moving forward.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their first project was to reinstate our app so that we didn’t meet violations within Google Play. Now, they’re adding major updates and functionality because the app was really basic to begin with. They have installed payment options and are building another upgrade to fix certain bugs, improve writer tracking, and make more changes to the application. They essentially handle the application support, build upgrades and develop the back- and frontend. 

What is the team composition?

I mainly communicate with the two founders and directors of the company, and they introduce me to the developers. Altogether, I interact with 5–7 people.

One of my friends is a co-founder of another company and recommended Ceyentra. I knew they would be reliable because my friend is a professional developer.

We’ve invested around $5,000.

We started working together in July 2021, and our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We have more than 20,000 users now. The quality of their work is very good, and they are reliable and professional. They handle our basic requests really well. I measure success based on the updates we release, and we have fewer bugs now that they are helping us. 

Finding a professional team was challenging, so I’m happy we found them because they’re great.

How did Ceyentra Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They always deliver on budget. Sometimes there are problems with delivering the product on time, but that’s due to issues our country is facing with power cuts. Aside from that, they deliver everything on time. I have one backend developer, so we always check their backend work and communicate through GitHub. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their reliability is most impressive. Finding a development partner in Sri Lanka is difficult because my company is not very big, and we function like a startup. The last company we worked with made a huge mistake, and I have found that I can really rely on Ceyentra.

It would be great if they could analyze their team and provide more support services.

My advice would be to engage with them. Check on tasks, and communicate feedback; that’s the key to a successful partnership.

I am the founder and CEO of LIPA. LIPA, custom builds software for our clients. We do platform-agnostic work with React, Angular, Vue, .Net, Laravel, C#, Spring Boot, Django, Solidity, and many other cutting-edge technologies.

Our client needed a redesign and dev of a website in quick time. And one that could collaborate with the internal team as well as the client team. Also, a team who can manage Web Hosting Services.

Ceyentra had also built the 1st iteration of the site. The client was pleased to repeat the order. Ceyentra standouts when it comes to communication skills, testing, and debugging skills. Their back-end basics, as well as search engine optimization, were exceptional.

We had several design meetings with all teams to discuss the strategy and design. Consistent & quality content within the pharmaceutical industry. Then we selected and identified key milestones and also discovered the constraints.

The very fact that it was a repeat order on the client-side was an added advantage. The site went live in quick time.

I am the founder and CEO of a Real States company in the UK. We are a leading accommodation providers and relocation businesses in the East of England.

We have come up with new concepts of property lettings business and skill workers relocations and provides their accommodations in the UK. We searched Web developers and IT consultants around the world. Then come up with them after interviewing and zoom Demonstration of their past work. Also cost analyst compared to the rest.

We had a kick off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. The team delivered mock ups and wireframes for our site. After few iterations, knowledge transferred, their team developed an international website which I got goid feedback from even my competitors.

A project manager and 2 designers are behind the scenes. There were full team added to get extra knowledge transfer and to get ideas to built up.

After a less than 2 months of launching the site we got new businesses and our clients are love the design and user friendly website. The company call Yell.com also approached us to add our site on there wrb directory from next month.

We had a daily stand ups with their project manager, who communicated with the rest of the team and always arranged a zoom meeting to listen their real voice come up with ideas.

They gave us a professional site that was easy to update and expand. My team here in thd UK is looking forward to further updates and new concepts to added to the site. So far the advice and guides are excellent

Minor scaling errors should have overlook in deferent devices before sending a mockup

I am the CEO of Wooks INC. (Wooks.lk) We are an education company that is into Teaching Language for children aged 4 - 8.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are extremely happy with the delivery. There was continuous support from the team even after the delivery.

Our communication primarily took place through WhatsApp, where a group was created with the team members of our organisation and Ceyentra. A series of meetings were scheduled over Zoom where development was monitored from our end.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their cost and quality. I worked with a number of developers before, but no one could match their quality and cost.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing major. Whenever we had any issue with the system they always fixed it within few hours. They even did additional improvements without an additional charge.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ceyentra Technologies, and what were your goals?

We had a prototype which was created by our team. But it lacked the performance and flexibility since there was large amount of data in the website. Therefore, our main goal was to get Ceyentra involved to create a similar website to our prototype while improving the performance and scalability as we grow.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Since we are a startup one of the main considerations for us was the budget. The Ceyentra team understood our position and created a budget which was manageable for us while ensuring the quality of the delivery. Also, there team was really responsive and friendly which further motivated us to go with hiring them.

Scope - Ceyentra team had to replicate the prototype website which we had while ensuring that the performance and scalability of the website was improved. Also 3 portal needed to be created based on the users which were involved.

Steps - Initially the requirements were identified by utilizing the prototype. Based on discussions certain existing features were modified as well as adjusted to be aligned with the technology used.

Key deliverables - Next the delivery was split into 3 areas as delivery of the MVP-1, adjustments to the MVP-1 and MVP-2. We have gone ahead with the into the first 2 areas (MVP-1 and adjustments to the MVP-1). Also they have been very flexible and accommodated minor change requests and quickly responded to any issues reported

One of the founders (Heshan) was directly coordinating with us. There was another development team of about 5 members who worked on the implementation. The tech lead was contacted by us for any bug fixes and discussing how requirements can be adjusted.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

There's nearly a 5x increase in the website performance. The UI is seamless and cleaner than before. Scalability has been improved as well with the ability to add in users and manage through the backend.

They utilized a waterfall type model since the scope was well defined and easy to understand. The mangement was very flexible and friendly. We had the opportunity to directly coordinate with their development team reducing the communication over head. For communication we used emails, phone calls and whatsapp. Timeliness was ensured with the deliveries being performed as discussed initially.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The main factors were their understanding of the client and flexibility to adjust their operations based on that. Our requirements were easily translated by them as well as suggestions given on how we can improve it further. They were very attentive to the timelines and prioritizing any feedback which was given by us.

Not major improvements areas. Small suggestion on further streamlining the testing process.
