Livepage is a well-known company in Ukrainian digital marketing community. We read the company's articles and were interested in getting similar/better results.

Together with Livepage team, we developed a content marketing strategy that we successfully execute for 1.5 years. In addition to content marketing, the vendor performed a competitors’ analysis and found gaps between our site and theirs. It helped us to create new landing pages that generate leads. We contacted mainly with the project manager team. But when strategic issues appeared, we solved them with the whole team - a marketing manager, business analyst, SEO specialists, and even CEO.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Compared to last year, we increased website’s organic traffic by more than 150%. The number of users on the website has grown by 40 thousand per month.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

For our part, we always tried to implement all the tasks that Livepage gave us as fast as possible, but it was not always the case. All documentation was transmitted to us via email and Google Docs, so it was never a problem to find the right task and implement it. When we did not understand how to implement the task, vendor’s team helped us.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The vendor’s team was constantly engaged in market research and listened to our advices regarding the market situation. Thanks to this, we are ahead of the competition and get outstanding search traffic results.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Sometimes we wanted Livepage team to improve some of their internal business processes. But it is not always possible, we understand this. Every SaaS project wants a deeper dive in their business for a marketing partner to produce better decisions. It would be great if they had this skill in the beginning of our cooperation. It would lead us to even better results in the long run.

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, Livepage analyzed our website to figure out the exact problems and identify what it was missing. After that process was complete, they wrote out a full scope of everything we needed to develop for our website. They indicated the specific services they planned to provide. 

Livepage developed strategies for SEO and PPC marketing campaigns to improve our ranking in organic and paid search results. They also support our email marketing efforts. One of the team’s web resources uses proprietary technology to optimize our company’s group-specific website. They also create new content to feature. The team works on securing backlinks to our website. They compiled a list of publishers to target for these link building efforts.

I worked with 4–5 different people from Livepage. The company has several departments with managers for each one.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

All of Livepage’s efforts are helping our company rank better in search engines. They send us monthly reports to highlight our progress. Based on diagrams that display metrics on web traffic and rankings, our traffic is climbing higher every month. 

How did Livepage perform from a project management standpoint?

Our company is located in Toronto, Canada. Livepage worked on our project remotely from their offices in Ukraine. All of our communication is through email and Skype. Once a month, we hold a video conference. At least one of the managers participates, if not the entire group of them.

During these meetings, we discuss the development we need to do moving forward. They highlight features we should add to our website and how to improve it. After identifying problems, they propose solutions. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I've been pleased to see the web traffic metrics rise. We're receiving many more phone calls and new business than we did before we started working with Livepage. Within a year of working together, our company has already grown four or five times larger. There's always room for improvement, but I have no complaints. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The seven-hour time zone difference between our offices made it a bit hard to communicate. Sometimes, it might have been difficult for them to write all the content for our advertising materials in English.

We already had a website, but since it was pretty old, we wanted it to be more effective. We decided to hire someone to help with search engine visibility and SEO.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They started off working on our SEO and then moved onto collaborating on a monthly basis with the technical tasks related to our content marketing activities for our new landing pages. They did everything they could that would improve our search engine position, and also estimated our current positions using our main keywords.

Livepage currently works on link building. They’re very good with analytics and established a way to track the parameters of our campaigns and activities. They deliver reports in Google Data Studio.

We always work with their dedicated project manager. There’s also an SEO specialist involved, and when we need analytics, there’s an analyst brought in. There’s also a dedicated resource that handles link building, contacting editors, trying to get guest postings, etc. Other than that, I don’t know who else is working on the project.

We tried several companies before them, but they only handled the technical stuff and made recommendations that didn’t work for our target audience and business goals. What I liked about Livepage is that they had the desire to help us. They got involved in our business and tried to understand our marketing roles and business goals. I also liked that they had a project manager as a main point of contact.

We’ve spent between $50,000–$60,000 on their services so far.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had a growth of over 500% in organic search results. Before hiring them, we had no formal processes for SEO and content marketing. With their help and experience, we’ve managed to build a truly professional and continual process of delivering content, which we use in our marketing activities and embed into our SEO.

It may have been a little hard for them to start working with the complicated audience that we have, which is highly technical. Livepage has learned a lot and has grown together with us. I’m extremely satisfied with the work they do.

How did Livepage perform from a project management standpoint?

I can call the project manager at any time to ask for the work’s status or additional services. They’re really professional and communication is perfect. It’s comforting to me to know that we can be in touch at any time.

Furthermore, they’re great a preparing and delivering estimates, which can be daunting when there are several tasks and particular dates involved. While it’s not a perfect process, we’re working together to improve on it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re particularly great with SEO. Whenever my team has an idea regarding new content and ways to change up our UX, they’ll make a professional evaluation of our proposal in a pretty short time, and will tell us how it will impact our SEO, rankings, and visibility. I trust their opinion and there hasn’t been a case where they haven’t been right.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on reaching final deadlines. If another one of their clients needs more time from their experts, we have to wait a bit, which has resulted in us having some misunderstandings in regards to due dates. We’re working on this, though, and it’s not a critical issue.
