I am the Founder and CEO. We are an online social marketplace for independent food creators to list and sell their products, post food videos and recipes, and market food experiences like private dining or baking workshops.

Calidig has provided Tabletop with freelance developers for both frontend mobile (Flutter) and QA/Testing work. As the needs of our business constantly evolve, we required a flexible but competent partner to assist our full-timers in the development of our marketplace.

Mobile development in Flutter for iOS and Android usage, as well as development of a native web version in vueJS.

Excellent ongoing service - timely, receptive to feedback and hardworking. The quality of work has been very good.

Communication tools were adopted entirely based on our own systems (Slack, Notion). Timeliness is very good, responsiveness of business owners is also excellent (pretty much 24/7).

None - we are very happy with the team.

I own and run a small software and IT consulting business that specializes in in agile development projects with near- and off-shore development partners. We decided to create and market our own product - and app that allows pickups sports organizers to better manage their games and seasons, saving time and increasing enjoyment for everyone involved!

For what projects/services did your company hire Calidig Solutions, and what were your goals?

We hired Calidig to build a mobile app (native Android and iOS through Flutter) with web admin and assciated APIs. The app is used. to manage pickup sports leagues and games - from recruitment to scheduling, to making teams for gameday.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose Calidig as I hav been lucky enough to have worked with the two founders in the past, when they were at other companies in India. I trust and respect these two people very much, and their approach, as well as their team, were a perfect fit for this project and for working mwith my small team here in Montreal.

The backedn/APIs are built in PHP/Laravel, while the frontend is built in Flutter (Dart) for deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The project kicked off with an overview discussion, then I provided some wireframes, and the Calidig team turned those into a proper project plan and assigned resources accordingly.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have one project manager, one PHP developer, two Flutter developers, and one account manager who oversees the whole project. We also worked with a designer on a small T&M mandate.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Nothing measurable, yet - but they have been very flexible and receptive to my feedback as we navigate this project.

They use Slack for day-to-day communications, and Google Meet for video/web conferencing (for status updates, demos and feedback discussions). They have been very respectful of timelines!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their small size allows for strong personal connections, so I feel that the team believes in my project and is very dedicated to its success. Despite their small size, Calidig manages to hire top talent!

Not at all - I look forward to continuing this project, and relationship with Calidig!
