Calda provided end-to-end development services for Superdex, starting from our early concepts and sketches and building a fully functional mobile application. Their scope of work included UX/UI design, database setup, and full-stack development using FlutterFlow for the frontend and Supabase for the backend. They implemented user authentication, profile creation, posting and feed functionality, photo capture, vehicle tagging and categorization, explore and filter pages, premium feature logic, and in-app purchases. Additional deliverables included testing, publishing the app to both iOS and Android stores, training and documentation for app management, and integrated AI functionality to identify vehicles. The project was managed with dedicated Slack communication, recurring progress meetings, and transparent hour tracking.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most significant outcome was the successful launch of Superdex as a fully functioning iOS app available on the App Store. Calda delivered the core features we had scoped which included posting, feeds, profiles, premium features, and integrated AI within the estimated timeline. The app has since been downloaded by nearly 100 users and is actively used by early adopters in our target community which demonstrates that the platform is functional, stable, and capable of supporting real world usage. Additional measurable outcomes include the implementation of a scalable backend architecture, the ability to handle user authentication and posting without errors, and the integration of payment functionality to support monetization.

Calda delivered our project within the discussed time frame and managed the process in a structured and transparent way. They were quick to address and correct bugs when needed, and for any work outside the scope of our original agreement they provided updated estimates so we could keep the project moving forward. Their approach allowed us to stay aligned on expectations and ensured steady progress from start to finish.

What impressed us most about Calda was that all of their work was done in house with dedicated team members assigned to different phases of development. One of the major outcomes was that the app won the FlutterFlow App Design of the Year! The project was completed on schedule, and the app was successfully launched on the App Store. The overall user experience within the app has also exceeded my expectations.

Calda Calda did an amazing job turning our idea into a real app we can use, called Client Keeper. In the beginning, we had meetings to figure out what the app really needed to do and how long it would take to make it. Calda was really careful to only include the most important things in the first version of the app, so we didn't spend money on stuff we didn't need. Next, we worked on making the app look good and easy to use, which is called UI (how it looks) and UX (how it feels to use). 
This took the longest time because changing how the app looks after we start making it is hard and expensive. After about 3 months of focusing on the UI and UX, we started actually building the app in early 2024. This part was easier for me because we had already made all the big decisions. 
By early March 2024, anyone could download our app from the App Store! Plus, they made a Web App that was for admin and data management :) Every week, the team making the app and I would meet to talk about how things were going and what we needed to do next. We made sure everything that needed to be done, got done.

The thing that I appreciated the most was how they mapped the whole process for me and made sure I was aware of time frames and pricing. Everyone has been on the same page since day 1. They do not mind having "tough conversations" meaning if they see a better way to design they will tell you especially when it comes to long development cycles and a lot of money. They want their projects to be amazing, on budget, and on time.

Figma files, Bravo vision prototypes, then .apk app files for testing, then finally released apps in stores.

Project management was weekly meetings/calls and daily through Figma comments and Slack. Project duration went longer than originally estimated and expected. Some delays were on my end, some were on their end. They were very responsive to my needs and communicative throughout the partnership.

Small, responsive team feel, but good skills and experience regardless. Good collaboration and working through issues together with teamwork and positivity. Good MVP result at the end fairly fast and affordably.

Better scoping, definition and time estimates at the get-go. More depth of team to avoid single-point failure when developer had unexpected time away from work.

I hired Calda to develop a mobile application, which would allow our app users to order their food online in-advance to later pick up in the restaurant. The other important feature was to set up a loyalty system that allows users to be rewarded for their continuous purchases. The system had to be easy to manage for the customer (as little input from them as possible). 

Overall, Calda approached the project professionally and with great care. We started the development by defining the key features and then followed up with UX wireframes. That was followed with UI design (which I was very satisfied with!) and then the development of the backend. App was developed in Bravo studio (frontend) and Supabase (backend), which allowed a quick development process, which was key for me and my business.

A great mobile application, which helped my business to channel online orders from 3rd party platforms to our own sales channel, which allowed greater profitability. We also saw great rise in recurring buys, because customers seemed to love the loyalty system. Overall the app helped my business make more money. And Calda made sure that the process was quick and efficient, which was of utmost importance to me.

I felt like I was a part of the development process throughout the whole time, which was not my experience when working with other software development teams in the past. 

They did their best to keep the communication thorough and constant with a dedicated Slack channel, weekly recurring meetings and access to their tasks kanban board. They also dedicated a project manager to my project, who made sure that I was always updated and my wishes were met.

We wanted to create an app that had the following App Requirements: 

• Ability for user to sign up - all info to be stored in the database and put on a waitlist. Users should get an email after they have signed up. If user has not fully completed the sign up process, when they go back into the app, they should be able to complete information they have not entered 
• Ability for all users to invite friends to use the app & for this data to be stored If a user who has signed up is an invited user - the user who invited them should get 2 coins added to their score Waitlist users can only invite friends and view news & events - no other functionality on the app 
• Users should be able to view a list of the latest news & events. News should be aggregated from the RSS feed - see list of sources 
• Ability to verify a user (change status to verified) - sends them a push notification AND email. Once verified - ability for user to pay for a membership in order to use the app (integrated with stripe). Users receive a notification on Sunday morning asking them to opt in. Users have the ability to opt in for the week to receive an introduction 
• Match opted-in users according to criteria (see below) Send users push notification & email at a certain time (once matched) 
• Autogenerate google meet link for users to have a video call. Send users reminder email/push notification 1 hour before the scheduled meeting Allow users to join the video call through the app. After the meeting the user should be able to give feedback on the last match, and the feedback should be stored

The Calda team was fun to work with. They cared about helping me build the best prototype possible, and advised me when they thought a tool could do a better job than what we may have initially planned to use. I remember early on the process they suggested using a different back end tool than the one they first suggested, because it would allow me to capture data from a larger group of customers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Calda could have done differently?

Because I was referred to Calda they wanted to be good partners and recommend using the no code app development tool of the company that referred me. Although there may have been another tool that would have met my needs slightly better. I can’t fault them for that. I wish there was a way to see what other options and tools they have worked with so that I could compare those tools before making my decision.

Calda has been helping us with FlutterFlow development, backend development, and AI integration. The main deliverable is an end-to-end platform for financial advisors, which includes document ingestion, data structuring, and report writing. 
We encountered lots of unknowns that appeared as we built the functionality, especially with FlutterFlow’s limitations with Postgres and AI, but we managed to overcome all of them.

We’ve been building our product with Calda, and they’ve been a great partner throughout. The team is solid across FlutterFlow, backend work, and AI integration. However, what stands out the most is how they think like builders. Calda doesn't wait for perfect specs; they get stuck in, figure things out, and keep moving.

Moreover, the team is easy to work with. They’re flexible, collaborative with other teams, and supportive of us as founders. Overall, they’re genuinely good people who care about the work and the journey. I highly recommend Calda.
