I am Senior Vice President/General Manager of Certified Folder Display Service, Inc., the largest distributor of printed visitor information in the world. Our visitor information displays (both traditional and digital) are strategically placed in over 22,000 locations throughout North America.

We hired Dino Maiolo and his team at Cabaretti to rebuild our outdated website.

What were your goals for this project?

To have a new website that clearly communicates the Certified brand and services to potential and existing clients, and to act as a platform to drive new business.

We were familiar with previous work they had done.

We communicated our objectives for the new website and asked for Cabaretti's expert input to enhance user experience and to promote our goals in a digital environment. Cabaretti presented wireframes and mockups, worked with us closely on updates/revisions and built the new website on a staging platform.

We conducted several meetings to make changes and to add additional features. We communicated consistently with Cabaretti throughout the project until all pages were rebuilt, new pages add and the site performed on all devices as expected.

At that point, Cabaretti worked with our in-house developer to migrate the website, they QC'd the site before and after migration and we continue to work with Cabaretti regarding updates and new features for our website.

We worked primarily with Dino Maiolo, the agency owner, and ratri Jawanes, their head developer.

The website is highly functional and performs as expected. We are very pleased with the results and appreciate Cabaretti's expertise and continued support! Our employees love the new site, and we are receiving 5-10 website inquiries each day from prospective customers!

I’m the global events manager for CGIAR, an international climate change research organization. I’m based out of Indonesia, but the organization has offices around the world.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cabaretti Web Design and Digital Advertising?

We needed a website to support a large, three-day conference we were organizing on agriculture and climate.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cabaretti Web Design and Digital Advertising built the entire website from scratch using my creative direction.

They created a landing page where attendees could understand at a glance what our conference was about. The team provided pages for background information and history, and incorporated the theme of the event throughout.

The team was also able to introduce to a third party who could help us work out the technicalities of incorporating payments, which was a complicated process as the event took place in Bali and we had participants from all over the world.

My main point of contact was Dino (Digital Advertising Manager, Cabaretti Web Design and Digital Advertising), and we also worked with Ratri (Chief Performance Officer, Cabaretti Web Design and Digital Advertising).

Their team came recommended by a friend in Bali who knew I needed a website for the conference and that Cabaretti Web Design and Digital Advertising would be able to produce great results.

The project lasted from July 2018-November 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We had a very specific target audience for the conference, so we weren’t necessarily interested in widely promoting the website. But as Google Partners, Cabaretti Web Design and Digital Advertising made sure the page was very searchable for those visitors we were interested in attracting.

I’m completely satisfied with the work the team did. They were able to implement everything I had requested. Ratri is an excellent programmer and understood my vision exactly. 

The landing page they designed acted as the highlight of the conference itself. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a website developer for their company or event.

The team met all the deadlines we set perfectly on time. They were always available via email or WhatsApp for any of my urgent requests, which I appreciated immensely as I often travel for work. 

Sometimes we were connecting while I was in Europe or the United States, and we never ran into any communication issues outside of time differences.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re skillful and experts in what they do but they’re also passionate, which is a combination that allows them to deliver remarkable work.

While they were very adept at understanding and implementing my creative vision, I think they could improve their own sense of design.

To design a website that appeal to all members, host upcoming events, provide information for the organization and allow members to register for their own personal profile. It also served as a home for the organization's history and photos.

Dino and his skills are well-known within our organization.

Dino took charge of the website project, which was approved by the board of directors and he was given a lot of creative flexibility as he was intimately knowledgeable of our organization. He created the initial wireframe on a staging platform and migrated the mock up to the live domain with few problems. He immediately addressed any issues and was available for updates and changes as they arose. As a result, the membership is happy with the website and it's performance.

Dino was the point person on this project, though I know he used his team to complete some of the tasks. We had no problem with him or any part of his team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The best use of the website continues to be as a payment platform for events as well as an information source for details of all events. members primarily use the website for this purpose and have no problem registering for events. The fact that the process runs smoothly is evidence that the website runs without problems.

I’m the founder of a startup called Ski House Swap. We help skiers, snowboarders, and mountain sports enthusiasts to share and experience other people’s ski houses. This is done through a digital marketplace made for swapping with other members.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cabaratti?

I had a basic design for the site, but I was lacking some integrations and UX components. We wanted to tailor the user’s journey from sign-up to use in a clear manner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cabaretti Web Design and Digital Advertising filled in the missing pieces by doing everything from basic design to coding. I had basic designs for a number of pages, but like any web product, certain pages and features were missing that could connect the user’s journey. They gave the site cohesion by taking us through the complete process.

I worked with two individuals on this project.

How did you come to work with Cabaratti?

I found them online. Although I had offered bids to others, Cabaratti’s responsiveness, quality of past work, and willingness to be flexible stood out me so I chose them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our partnership in October 2018, and it is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There aren’t any hard and fast metrics, but overall, they made the UI/UX more seamless and easier to use. User feedback has been positive despite being in the early stages.

How did Cabaratti perform from a project management standpoint?

I would rate them very highly in terms of managing deadlines and communication. I was never confused about what they were doing nor were there any issues or gaps in understanding. Their team was responsive and all timelines and deliverables were met. If things were progressing slower or faster than we thought, the team provided clear and concise explanations.

Cabaratti delivered the work on time and exceeded expectations. I’m very happy with the way the site turned out. Their response times in fixing or addressing issues were exceedingly fast. The company always met my expectations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I could sincerely trust them. I never felt I was working with a company that only looked out for itself. For them, I wasn’t just one of many clients. Cabaratti really cared about what they were doing. They asked great questions and became deeply involved. They were a true partner—that sounds cliché but it was absolutely my experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always an opportunity to improve the depth of a skill set. There were instances where I could’ve used even more help in certain areas but their team wasn’t equipped for that work. For example, they might not have been able to help with a certain coding challenge or a unique integration.

I would’ve liked to solely rely on them to solve more challenging technical problems, but it was a little outside their specialty. As they grow and continue to deliver excellent work, rounding out their skillset will be beneficial to their company.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to really understand your project goals. That way, you can quickly assess and find a good fit. It’s helpful to understand the differences between basic designing and coding versus deeper web development and custom code.

There may be some specific details that'll complicate your UI/UX. Have a good understanding of all those details when you engage.

I am the Marketing Manager of an email client company called Mailbird.

We needed help with creating a few landing page templates as well as implementing a new blog theme.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal is to be able to create landing pages for our different Online Ads within no time. Therefore we needed the templates. In terms of the blog theme, the goal is to have people stay longer on our blog page and increase chances, of conversion.

I received many quotes from freelancers and companies on Upwork and through other channels. The communication and was super clear with Cabaretti from the beginning. The set hours and the pricing was within our budget and was transparent from their side.

I send over the details of what I needed. They then send me the quote. After the quote was approved by us we had a meeting on the specifics. They got started on it right away. They helped us with their professional feedback and also were super quick to implement any edits requested.

They seem to have quite a few team members. However, I was in touch with one person the entire time. I find that a lot better as I know exactly what she knew what I wanted and I didn't have to explain everything again to other members of their team.

We have 3 templates created and are now able to create and publish new landing pages a lot faster than before.

It was super effective. My questions were answered within no time. They thought proactively about the next steps so there were no unnecessary communication steps involved.

Their fast, professional responses and their implementation time were impressive. It was all very quick while still providing high quality.

The website is clean, functional and meets our objectives. Many people comment on the impact of the visuals, and the messages conveyed. Impressive.

It was done through direct communication between myself and Dino. He kept me up to date via email on milestones and deliverable targets, also let me know what I needed to do and by when.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Communication was excellent between us and them. Their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure the website works for our needs. They seemed to genuinely care about the impact of the website, rather than just getting a project done. I also liked that the technical portion worked smoothly without hiccups!

Honestly I can't think of any. Hand on my heart, this was near perfect execution. They created a website even better than my imagination.

To successfully complete updates to our already existing website. The contractor was required to have expert knowledge with Wordpress CMS and to troubleshoot issues for best solutions.

Our website needed some minor, but important upgrades. Cabaretti helped us with that. New pages needed to be created and menu items added, deleted and arranged. We also needed our website to be represented properly in social media, which Cabaretti fixed for us. They reorganized sponsor logos so they are laid out better aesthetically, providing for an overall better user experience.

Airmakers Heating and Air Conditioning provides residential HVAC services to customers throughout San Diego County. We install and service central heating, air conditioning and ductless mini-split units.

Airmakers not only needed a new website when we first met Dino, but we needed more business. He contacted us through email and then set up a meeting We decided to go with him on a trial basis and have stuck with im ever since. It's been over 10 years.

We didn't know anything about websites or marketing, but trusted Dino immediately. So we went with him.

Dino built the first website in 2009 and then updated it several times over the last ten years. the website we have now is completely different than the one he originally made for us. As technology changes, so does Dino's services.

The advertising has been up and down because our industry is so competitive. We initiate ads when we need them and recently, Dinio got us set up through Google Guaranteed. he sat with us and spoke to Google on our behalf to get us set up. He's really hands on.

Not sure how to answer this question, but Dino has a team of tech guys and designers that help him fulfill our needs. They are very responsive to our inquiries.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The results you can check for yourself at airmakersheatingandair.com. We're very happy with the website. He took the pictures, designed the graphics and wrote the text for the site. He did it all. It's clean and easy to navigate, which we like. Since we're a contractor, we stayed away from fancy bells and whistles. our customers just want the info.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

He handled everything and met our deadlines with no problem. Communication is always terrific and if there is a mistake, Dino takes full accountability. he has even waived his monthly retainer from time to time until he made sure our site and marketing were running smoothly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The communication, expertise, knowledge, skills and responsiveness. He is always concerned about performance. Rather than just build a pretty website, he wants to make sure it helps us get new customers. That has always been his focus and we love that about him.

When he goes over seas, responsiveness slows, but it hasn't been a big problem. no major areas for improvement that we can tell.

The project was a pretty straight-forward web design and development project. We provided the content and Dino and his team created mockups and designed our new website based on those sketches. Quality Control checks were implemented as well as all third party profiles.

Dino as the Project Manager, ratri as the Chief Web Developer and Emily as the Creative Director. These were the department heads. I did not have contact with others in the agency.

We are very happy with the final product. Cabaretti delivered the website in a professional manner and were always a pleasure to work with.

The project to a bit longer than we expected. The holidays may have slowed things down a bit so it wasn't too bad.
