We are a tech company working in online education for children. We’re focused on creating apps and courses for children who are non-native English speakers. I work as the project leader for digital content strategy.

Our goal was to deliver powerful messages that would convince poor parents that our app can help their child, with a two-minute explainer video. The job was pretty much challenging and we needed a solid team to turn our vision into a full-blown video.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The deciding factor would always be a subjective matter. However, our prime focus was on the website, portfolio, team correspondence, and reviews. While the portfolio had everything at par with our expectations, we interviewed the team and discussed the project thoroughly. Perhaps, that’s exactly what convinced us to get them onboard.

When we tapped them via call, they were glad to give us a quick walkthrough of the entire process. Faced with budget constraints, we decided to take up the script on our own. However, we ended up with a longer script than the agreed time of two minutes. We sent it to the team of BuzzFlick. They gave it a quick review and polished it even more by crossing out grammar and editing errors. The final script was smooth and perfect for our two minutes of timed explainer content.

Next, we wanted to progress quickly with the illustration stage. Fortunately, they had storyboard experts sketch out storyboards for the entire script. Even though the work was in its infancy, it still had enough charm to convince us that we were moving in the right way. The finalized illustration was excellent and the final video product lived up to our expectations.

Meanwhile, we had the video sent back to the team for a few suggested tweaks from the brand manager. While the edits followed an improper sequence, they were still had them done without any complaint.

We worked with the Project Lead from their end and Customer support. We also had a voiceover artist onboard to add a touch of originality and authority to our explainer.

Yes, after all the revisions and changes, we were satisfied with the quality of the work they did. We were also able to draw some handsome engagement from the explainer we got made.

Though we had some flexibility with this one, the team we had working on it, was passionate from the very start. We can say that the project manager was as involved as we were in the campaign.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

One thing, in particular, was the ideation. The visuals they had made for our script were wonderful and self-explanatory. We were glad to cover so much more pleasantly and efficiently with attractive visuals.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The execution was fine. However, to our knowledge, we would want the storyboard work to be wrapped up more quickly in the future. Plus, we could emphasize more on the storytelling aspect of our videos.

We had been on the hunt for 2D animation service for a handful of client projects. We hired BuzzFlick for 2D animation work. We are really glad to see how the deal panned out for us. Our goal was to deliver something creative, particularly an animation that would speak volumes about the brand identity of our client. We had two animated ad concepts that required 2D animations. The job was complex. And, with a deadline looming over us, we wanted to have a bunch of specialists on board in no time.

We did not have any set criteria in mind, but most of the time we’re for eyeing quality, communication and project delivery. We were glad to see that everything was managed as mutually discussed, planned and agreed upon. We believe project execution was primary in helping us make up our minds. We did some research as we usually do. I visited a handful of websites of biz offering 2D animation services.

I looked up a few testimonials and checked their portfolio. It had enough to convince my team that we were making the right call. We scheduled an interview with Zack, the project manager at BuzzFlick and thoroughly discussed what we required. The interview was satisfactory as we were constantly reassured that our requirements suited perfectly to the skills they had with painting 2D animation.

I can’t discuss the entire process in so much detail, but I can share that the ideation for scriptwriting was succinct and well above the expectations of our client. We were served with continual support throughout multiple phases of the project. Though the client had requested some major changes in the final work, thankfully these were made with short notice, with ease, and with minimal explanation without costing an extra dime.

We partnered with Zack. They were diligent, friendly, and driven to serve us. Even though we had multiple revisions rolling in from our client’s end, they helped us through with calm and grace. After project delivery, we were invited to share our feedback on correspondence and service quality. We were delighted to speak honestly and were impressed by their professionalism.

Yes, after all the revisions and changes, we had a satisfied client in the end.

The project management was great, leaving no gaps in communication. There were days, when Zack would follow up to know if there was anything more, he could do from their end. It happened on days when our client was on vacation, and we did not have any updates on the status of the job.

The communication was outstanding, the support team was able to build rapport with us and our client, allowing both of us to gain the confidence of our client in our work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The execution was brilliant. There was nothing they would have done differently for the better as we were all more dependent upon the client’s feedback and instructions.

There was a lot of demand in the market for hyper-casual games. Due to this, we decided to jump onto it. Although many developers in the industry with whom we had previously worked did not provide good results. So, after hearing a lot of reviews from people around us, we decided to hire Clutch to get a reliable and fast game development.

When I got to know about Clutch, I went onto their website. There were a lot of positive reviews and testimonials, which strengthened my trust in them. This made me trust them and hire them for my game development. The particular trend was their responsiveness in the reviews and their on-time delivery. These two were my main deciding factors in working with them.

We needed someone to deliver us the prototype of the game and then the final product. The work and final project were amazing and included proper transitioning and low lagging. The UI/UX interface was perfect. The developers used C++ to code the entire game, which was exactly what we wanted.

Since it was a hyper-casual game development, there was no need for many developers. Around 5-6 people worked with us. It included their senior game developer, UI/UX designer, testers, programmer, artist and sound engineer. They all worked together to create an amazing game that matched our requirements. They had excellent coordination and gave us an excellent outcome.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Their deliverables were amazing. We were extremely satisfied with their work. The game performed well in its testing period. There were minor issues. However, their professionals fixed them soon enough. Their visuals and work were smooth, and the transitioning to different levels in the game was also great. What I like about their work is that they followed a modern aesthetic with neutral colors and utilized it throughout the interface.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their timely updates were one reason we were relaxed throughout the project. The constant update on the project and its coemption progress was one of their strong pursuits of satisfying their customer. Our main goal was fast delivery, but good quality, and they made sure to deliver that to us. Even while adding anything extra in the game to improve the quality and output, they get it approved by us. This way, we felt we were in the loop and knew where our game was headed. To discuss anything, we had weekly meetings on the update on ZOOM and GOOGLE MEET. Moreover, I was connected to the developers themselves on Skype. We would contact them there if I had any concerns or issues to address.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The one unique and impressive thing about their company was their competent designers and developers and their collaboration among themselves. The team that I hired had amazing collaboration. They all were connected to each other and pitched anything in their mind to the others even if it were not their domain. This amazing teamwork and understanding among them show in their output. Moreover, their way of communicating was also impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Apart from the tiny bugs that occurred during the game's test run, there were no other difficulties we faced. And those bugs, too, were immediately fixed by them. So, no, there was not anything in my point of view that they needed to change. Everything was delivered to me as I needed it to be.

Unfortunately there was very little desire for the Buzzflick team to help manage this project other than to push us to meet deadlines and move onto the next step.

The cost of the project was the only thing we were pleased with.

Interest in our company, our vision, and creativity. There was nearly zero intentional time spent creating new and interesting content in our video. Every detail had to be explained in great detail to get the creativity motor going on the Buzzflick side of things unfortunately.

It was recommended to me by a friend, the first consult went well and I felt like they were willing to work with me for the look I wanted.

It was a group of illustrations (12 in all including the cover). Each design was sent to me to review and approve. I did request a couple of small changes to fit more in line with what I was seeing. The illustrators at Buzzflick were more than willing to work with me and Zack as the project manager was so helpful and very patient with all of my emails.
