The measurable outcomes from the project have been significant in demonstrating progress and success. Firstly, there has been a noticeable acceleration in the insurance policy issuance processes, streamlining and expediting the entire workflow. This has not only increased operational efficiency but also contributed to a more agile and responsive customer service. 
Moreover, the implemented modifications, including the customized user interface and tailored changes, have resulted in a greater level of convenience for our clients. 
The enhanced user experience has translated into improved customer satisfaction, as clients now navigate the insurance comparison and policy issuance procedures with increased ease and clarity. The project's success is thus tangibly reflected in the measurable metrics of accelerated processes and heightened client comfort and comprehension.

Additionally, in the spirit of continuous improvement, having the flexibility for more extensive customizations within their system would be beneficial. This would allow us to tailor the software even more closely to our specific needs. We acknowledge that there may be limitations, but further openness to accommodating unique customization requests would be a positive aspect.

Business Logic designed a suitable web application solution that corresponds with our business goals. They made a UI/UX covering the needs of our users and they supported us during processes setting and their impacts on the system. 

• They developed the whole application, connected it with other systems, and took care of the whole production launch. 
• Business Logic still works on constant expansion of the application, ensures maintenance and support for us.

They developed our website using .NET and connected it to our Helios ERP system. The latter housed invoices and product data across our six warehouses. Business Logic also did database restructuring for our two separate websites, which target the Czech and Slovak markets. We aimed to create new filtering functionalities for our 14,000 products.

We worked with 10 people and had three points of contact, one of which was the project manager.

We searched for vendors with Helios experience that could augment our internal analytics resources. We met Business Logic and hired the team based on their approach and ideas.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2017. Core web page project was finished in November 2018. We are further developing the project on a daily basis.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team worked efficiently, but our scope changed during the partnership due to the project’s large size. Results and web visitor behavior did not meet our expectations, but that is not Business Logic’s fault. The filtering component took considerable time to complete.

They had good documentation for the workflow process. We appreciated that high level of specification.

I’m the IT manager of a paint organization with four sub-companies. We have 1,500 employees that support our production and distribution efforts. We’re located in the Czech Republic and Poland, and we operate in the European market.

What challenge were you trying to address with Business Logic?

We needed to develop a B2B portal with a user-friendly interface for our wholesale companies.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Business Logic developed and implemented a B2B portal for our Czech and Slovak wholesalers. It’s used by about 400 customers and offers nearly 13,000 products. The portal acts as a catalog that is connected to our internal ERP system QAD, sharing product information like prices, measurements, pictures, and other numbers. We’ve also included several marketing and loyalty strategies. On a specific dashboard, customers can find information about their orders and find answers to some of their questions.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 5–6 people from Business Logic. Our main point of contact was a project manager, who was supported by a software engineer and several other specialists.

How did you come to work with Business Logic?

We considered about 10 different vendors. After meeting with all of the candidates, we ultimately chose Business Logic for several reasons. They're located in our area. We liked the size of their company and their industry experience. They had impressive references, and the staff we met with was very friendly.

How much have you invested with them?

The initial project was 1.2 million Czech Korunas ($53,000 USD). We’re currently in a support agreement, for which we paid 20,000 Czech Korunas ($883 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The bulk of the work lasted from January 2017–March 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with the relationship and the quality of their services. We plan to collaborate with them well into the future.

How did Business Logic perform from a project management standpoint?

For day-to-day communication, we spoke via email, phone calls, and Skype. I interacted directly with the programmers. If I needed help with a small task, I would usually just use their helpdesk. We scheduled a monthly meeting with our project manager to discuss our project, with additional in-person check-ins held as necessary. We segmented the project into two-week cycles, and planned roadmaps to calculate deadlines and anticipate any challenges or delays.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We had direct communication with Business Logic’s programmers and database specialists. If I ever had a problem, I could reach out on my own. If it was an urgent concern, we didn’t have to go through a helpdesk or an intermediary.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If we wanted to make any improvements, we let them know, and they took care of it immediately. Business Logic is still growing. I hope that they continue to provide high-quality services and support for their customers.

We make promotional equipment for small businesses, such as pens and keychains. Businesses can put their logo on our products for publicity and marketing purposes. I manage our data warehouse and business intelligence team.

What challenge were you trying to address with Business Logic?

We market to businesses in over 20 countries and needed to improve our visibility. We wanted to extract all our Google Analytics information and build a data warehouse for at-a-glance reporting.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We presented the requirements from our e-commerce and business logic teams. They learned about the Google Analytics API and pulled the data they needed to reproduce those reports in our internal system. Our application is a C Sharp program that culls our accounts and passes data through stored procedures to our SQL Server platform. Once they finished it, they trained us on how to use it. They still occasionally help us troubleshoot bugs or make modifications.

The second project we worked on together was our campaign management tool (CMT). We needed a way to streamline our marketing campaigns with our list processing and forecasting departments. It uses similar technologies and programming language to the first project, with a plug-in that triggers based on the URL. It helps the marketing department build mailing campaigns and compile affiliated data by gathering results and creating reports. We’ve finished testing it and it’s now live. They’re gradually transferring control over to us as we handle some of the remaining issues.

We always work with Martin (Partner, Business Logic), who appoints a developer to work with us.

How did you come to work with Business Logic?

Martin worked with our company for a while and I was always impressed with his work. We wanted to stay engaged with him when he started his new company.

We spent between $25,000–$50,000 for both projects.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on the first project in February 2015. We had a quick turnaround and finished in April or May 2015. After that, we started the second project. They delivered that in February 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Google Analytics extract saves our team over 50 hours of work each week, thanks to the automatic reporting. The CMT has also increased production exponentially. I estimate that 15 marketers each save three hours per day.

How did Business Logic perform from a project management standpoint?

They do their homework upfront, gather the necessary requirements, and optimize the architecture to fit your needs. Their response times are great, even when they’re processing a lot of data. We communicate through email, WhatsApp and messenger. We’re in the same time zone and Martin’s English is excellent.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of the code is very good. Everything is logical, well-documented and efficient. Their deliverables are always clean, professional, and optimized. The quality of their work really impresses me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are always things to fix when they first hand over the code, but that’s normal.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know your requirements ahead of time and be specific at the beginning. We missed a few variables for the CMT application and our list of requirements was incomplete. They had to rebuild some of the architecture after preliminary testing because we weren’t thorough enough.

This is hard for me to evaluate. I'm sure something could be done better, but so far we haven't come across anything that doesn't always solve
