What was the scope of their involvement?
Building Brands Marketing helped design and develop two websites and a naming book for us. We started the project with a meeting to discuss our vision, what we needed to do, and our end goal, after which they created a site template for us. After that, we met again to go over the template and see if it was in line with our vision. From there, we worked together to create site content and had a couple more meetings to ensure that everything was in order.

Building Brands Marketing is now responsible for the site’s maintenance and future updates. We’re also currently working on another project with them.

We’ve worked with Alex (VP of Operations) and Robert (Founder & President). Robert has been part of the project since the beginning.

We started working together in January 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve just finished our first project, so it would be hard to quantify results right now. However, we can say that our hard-copy naming book and the website that goes with it have been very well received.

The website is basic and informational. We like how users can click on each area of the site that we’re focusing on and very seamlessly find information under each category, which makes the site user-friendly.

How did Building Brands Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
Building Brands Marketing has performed well in terms of project management. They consistently deliver on time and within budget. Alex and Robert politely keep us on track by providing regular reminders about the things they need from me.

We typically communicate via Google Docs, phone calls, emails, Zoom meetings, and face-to-face meetings.

We’ve worked mostly with Alex, and he’s done a great job of walking us through each step of the process.

What did you find most impressive about them?
Most owners don’t get involved in all of their projects, but Alex and Robert are always on the lookout for anything they can help me with to streamline the project.

I don’t have any. They’ve done a great job.

We needed help with SEO and web development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've brought in and partnered with Building Brands Marketing to build websites and handle all our SEO work — we actually call them our SEO team. They work directly with our customers to build their websites and implement SEO. We use a marketing formula that combines Google Business Profile, social media optimization, and SEO, so Building Brands Marketing handles the SEO component, which includes building websites and landing pages.

For one of our most successful campaigns, we had to reduce a website to a single landing page with many calls to action. This was the first time we created a small website because we understood the mindset of the audience after the COVID-19 pandemic.

We knew that having a landing page would be much more effective than a fully fleshed-out website because people just wanted to know who we were, what we did, and how to get in touch with us. For this project, Building Brands Marketing handled all the creative assets needed. In addition to SEO, the team has also helped us develop a drip campaign.

What is the team composition?

I work directly with Robert (Founder & President), his assistant, and Alex (VP of Operations). I've been to their offices and seen that they have a good-sized team, but I don't know how many of them are working on my project. Still, I don't have to worry about it because they get the job done, which is what matters.

We were friends with Building Brands Marketing even before we started our different agencies, and we later realized that we all did something different. Therefore, we figured that instead of competing against each other in certain common areas, it would be better if we helped each other. We brought them in to handle SEO content, which was their expertise.

We didn't want to expand our team anymore when we could simply partner with them and handle that portion of our services. I partnered with Building Brands Marketing due to our trust, friendship, and common goal.

We started working together around August 2021, and our engagement is ongoing. We now have a great friendship and partnership.

Building Brands Marketing delivers on time, sticks to the budget, and overall, has been very efficient. We communicate via text messages, phone calls, and Zoom calls.

Moreover, Building Brands Marketing has a great platform where they share analytics, which has been very helpful for our monthly meetings with our clients. Using this platform, we've been able to show our clients a strong dashboard that displays their growth and the results of the work Building Brands Marketing has been putting on behind the scenes.

When we partner with Building Brands Marketing, there's no competition — we stand alone. There's no one else who does what we do together as well as we do it.

We're a unique business, and our brand needed to reflect that.  Building Brands worked with my vision for my company to create a website, business cards, web ads, and other marketing materials that are consistent across platforms and media and strongly represent Futures Academy.  My initial commitment was for one year, but I was so impressed, I stayed on for another!  Today I am the well-recognized "household name" I wanted to be!

We saw interactions increase and referrals to our website that simply didn't exist before we began working with Building Brands.  Leads from social marketing increased exponentially when I stopped trying to manage Facebook advertising myself and let the pros do it!

They are on time and usually ahead of schedule.  They're also very patient when I hold up progress because I want to write something myself of haven't gotten around to approving their proofs yet. The team always works around my schedule and my needs.

The owner has incredible depth of knowledge about his craft.  He not only sat with me and explained his recommendations, he explained WHY those actions were recommended and what we expected from them.  I didn't feel like someone was going to load my cart and promise me I needed everything in it.  They really cared about what I wanted.

I’m an author and the owner of Building Dancing Horses. I write anecdotal short stories to teach lessons through what the Bible calls parables or fables. If somebody reads them and has the common sense that most humans have, they can pull out something dealing with safety, quality, and leadership. People don’t retain the type of lesson we teach about leadership or safety, but they remember a story.

What challenge were you trying to address with Building Brands Marketing?

I needed help with my web page. I had an old WordPress site that I used to launch my business. It worked for 8–9 months, then the previews went wonky. All the previews were the same when I loaded stories, so I reshuffled the whole website.

I tried to contact WordPress but got little to no support, so it wasn’t useful. I needed hands-on support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Building Brands Marketing has been able to fix my website; they’re in the first round. I initially told them what I wanted, which was the website to work so I could load stories. However, Building Brands Marketing offered me much more. They’ve helped me with the design, put in better links on the site, and taught me how to use the page a bit better. 

We’re still going through some steps before the final products, so there’s one more review. The website that’s currently online is the original website; we had the first review about two weeks ago, and we’ve done the second one. 

In the first round, I explained what I wanted and didn’t like about what they had done. Then, I sent them some pictures I had trained on an AI site and told them that was the image I was looking for. They said it helped.

Building Brands Marketing will soon launch the site. We’ve kept using WordPress, and they’ll also host it from here on.

The website is very well done, put together, and explained.

Building Brands Marketing has kept me appraised of everything. They inform me about my choices and keep me within the cost. They’ve done very well.

We communicate through emails and have our meetings through Zoom. I’ve also asked for email and text communication, and they’ve lived up to it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were the only ones who returned my phone calls. Initially, I reached out to local companies, but none of them answered. I’ve talked to people in person from other companies, but Building Brands Marketing actually returns my phone calls.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only thing they could’ve done better was the timeframe. I didn’t understand how long it’d take. When I asked them when it would launch, they said it probably would take longer. It was both our fault because I should’ve asked for the expectations but had no idea. However, they could’ve provided that and told us it’d be a two-month project; we’d go in a month, then have a review, then another month.

Other than that, they’ve done an excellent job.

Call them first so you don’t waste nine months looking for somebody.
