The scope of work involved the development of a custom mobile application for Animo Studios, a health and wellness brand, while maintaining Bsport as the backend administrative platform. Instead of using Bsport’s standard white-label app, we aimed to create a fully branded and customized experience tailored to our clients' needs.

Key deliverables included:

Custom Mobile Application: A fully branded Animo Studios app with an intuitive user interface, enhancing the client experience.
Seamless Integration with Bsport: The app remained connected to Bsport’s backend, ensuring smooth booking, membership management, and class scheduling.

We have hired Brocoders to develop custom software based on new user requirements and requests. Our goal was to replace an old version of the software with something that will sustain our customers and their needs for years to come.

We found Brocoders on upwork and upon having a call with one of the owners we decided to give Brocoders a try. We were happy with their progress and processes and decided to hire them for the project.

Brocoders has developed a react.js application along with a PWA. We provided the team specs after which we had zoom meetings with the project manager to ensure that all requirements are met. We had regular meetings to ensure development is going according to plan and that we are happy with the progress and results. Brocoders has delivered a custom application that has been in production over 1.5 years and we are continuing on working on improvements and new features.

Initially about 8 people from Brocoders worked on our project. Developers, designers, quality assurance, dev ops and a project manager.

Upoun launching the project we were able to increase client satisfaction and provide our clients what they were asking for, improve their workflow as well as make the software more powerful and easier to use then the previous software that was developed.

The project management was really good. We used Zoom, Slack, Email and Jira to collaborate on the project with the team. We had regular meetings in which the project manager kept us up to date on the progress of development. We were able to view the progress, updates, and scheduled deployments in real time by using Jira.

I had very great communication with the team. They were always responsive, listened to our needs and requirements, were making updates upon requests and were really responsive.

At this moment no.

I'm the CTO of a tech company. We sell financial software to financial investment houses in Europe and the US.

Brocoders are essentially an IT extension of our internal development team that works with our team and contribute to the day-to-day development effort.

They originally helped with our API capabilities through the utilization of JavaScript, Node.js, Python, MongoDB, and AWS.

We wanted to see if they could help us fast-track our development, and they have. We've received good feedback from our engineers within our internal team as the level of code they implement has been very high. We're also happy that they're able to document the progress of the entire partnership.

They deliver their tasks on time and are in a great position to help us when we need it thanks to their resourcefulness and helpfulness.

We were looking to augment our internal engineering and QA teams to accelerate the project.

We found them on Clutch and we met with Andrey who we liked instantly. He was thoughtful, organized, and took the time to understand exactly what we needed. Within a couple of weeks, we had a team and team leader in place and we were off to the races. We have about 13 brocoders on our project right now most of whom are React.js devs with a few QA folks.

Their team leader manages their team but all the folks on the team are easy to chat with and do a great job. They are each provided with a set of requirements and they deliver on spec and on time.

We have been able to begin external testing as per our project schedule as a result of their contribution.

They are organized and meticulous. They hire good people and treat them well. Their team lead is committed to ensuring good practices and high-quality of code. They communicate well and regularly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Overall we are very happy with the Brocoders team. Their commitment to getting the job done despite the dire external situation they experienced at the start of the project with their team in Ukraine is a testament to the human spirit. We are inspired by them and their management. We would not have been able to deliver on our short timelines without them showing up for us in the way that they did. Period.

No. They have done everything we could ask for and have gone above and beyond despite all the real dangers they faced themselves.

We were very pleased with the deliverables by the team and we will be looking to move to the development phase shortly. A sample of our potential customers have (based on our research) provided very positive feedback. They took onboard our instructions and brought our vision to life.

The project manager was amazing and made working through tasks a breeze. We had regularly scheduled meetings and I was provided daily updates as the project went on. All deadlines were met and there were no delays whatsoever.

I was blown away by not only the quality of the work, but the level of analysis and thought that went into all suggestions. The team didn't only just do what I asked. They went above and beyond in identifying potential problems and adding genuine value to the project.

Fast Set-Up, very communicative, highly skilled, most flexible when talking about finding a good solution for all parties.

Some PMs could be a bit more cummunicative or - if not possible to work on two projects - focus on one. The QA-managers need to understand the project in detail to understand how to test properly. It did not work for the first attempt, but BroCoders was able to fix that asap.

We’re an interactive at-home fitness company that focuses on treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, and more. I’m the director of technical operations, partnering with our CTO and working with our third-party vendors.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Brocoders?

They assigned two teams: one that worked on our third-party integrations and one that fixed bugs in our backlog.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their work was primarily in JavaScript. The integrations revolved around the connection between our equipment and our users devices, like Apple Watches.

For the bug fixing, we had all the tickets written up and assigned a few of our team leaders internally to help them ramp up. Within less than two weeks, they were jumping right in and working independently.

What is the team composition?

The two teams had different makeups. One had a team lead, a project manager, three senior developers and a tester. The other had a project manager, four senior developers and a team lead.

How did you come to work with Brocoders?

We went through a rigorous interview process. I connected with their CTO; he’s a great guy. Our teams meshed as well, so it was a group decision.

Originally, I found them on Google and looked through their reviews. I was impressed that their entire team is in-house.

We worked together from February 2021–March 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They handled 60% of our vulnerability path tickets within 2–3 months. After that, we knew we wanted their teams to stick around. They were quick and fast.

How did Brocoders perform from a project management standpoint?

They worked very closely together with our team and were involved in our planning processes. I provided my feedback to their CTO, and there weren’t any issues I was aware of, but I certainly felt comfortable bringing those to them.

The CTO and I would hop on Zoom meetings once a month and then speak on Slack if we had questions. We were pretty well connected, especially for them being in Ukraine and working through the time difference. They adjusted to our core hours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Having team composed and ready for us that already knew how to work together set them apart for me. We’ve had a few staff augmentation teams, but we can rely on them because of how they work together.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The design stage for the new service project was good, but it could have gone even better if it was as deep as the development stage and testing had been.

This is the same for any company, but make sure to clearly describe your requirements. After that, you can expect them to handle it very well.
