For what projects/services did your company hire Bridge Global, and what were your goals?

We hired Bridge Global to build a Social Commerce (aka Social/Group/Bulk Purchase) e-commerce platform in Magento with all the necessary features for smooth buying and selling.

This was the first project. We again associated with them for another ecommerce app for big commercial vehicles and a checkin-checkout processing web app for election purpose. We wanted a sleek and professional e-commerce platform to facilitate community group buys in the Indonesian online market.

This platform is especially for selling meat. The goal of the checkin-checkout processing web app was to smoothly handle high traffic (7.5 million) check-in and check-out of party workers during the election season and payment processing.

SOLUTION

How did you select Bridge Global and what were the deciding factors?

I had a casual encounter with their lead BA and Tester in a lift. I felt an energy in them to drive my product. Later I met Director Operations (Bridge Global Indonesia) and I was impressed with their ideas and service model.

I decided to partner with them as I was looking for someone who could own the product rather than just develop.

It is a social commerce platform in Magento. The main goal of it is to facilitate community group purchases in the Indonesian market. Bridge Global built an MVP of the web application.

They incorporated payment gateway and wallet, configurable discount features, fully-functional seller and buyer dashboards, discount matrix feature, etc. The checkin-checkout processing web app was a challenging project as it should handle more than 7.5 million users at a time.

It has to notify and initiate the payment processing from/to a centralized wallet. They smartly fulfilled all the project requirements without any glitches. We collaborated with the Magento 2 experts at Bridge Global for a second ecommerce project which also turned out to be a successful one.

Two fullstack developers, One Designer, one Magento Developer, one QA, and a Product Owner.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

With this web application, we are able to create new business opportunities for meat vendors. People can sell meat and grocery with discount prices when huge transactions are done.

We had constant communication with developers and team members at every stage. Daily stand-ups were effective in updating the progress. The onsite coordinator and team were always available for discussions and actively gave suggestions for improvement.

They readily supported us in setting up the server and migrating the code base to the new server as per our client’s requirements

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They stayed true to their sense of responsibility and ownership. We got the product on time throughout a time-boxed period of time.

Integrating the wallet (Kaspro) was a challenge as the document was in Bahasa. But Bridge Global precisely carried out the integration.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are happy with the experience.

We needed to track all the product batch codes through the supply chain. Our goal in working with Bridge Global was to produce a clean and professional website.

Bridge Global had a basic module on the Magento marketplace through which I made initial contact.

During our engagement, Bridge Global added batch code tracking to our Magento platform. They also customized our website.

Bridge Global assigned us a project manager, Sanjay (Director of Operations, Bridge Global) and a developer, Aswathy (Test Engineer, Bridge Global).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Bridge Global implemented a batch code module that works very nicely for our day-to-day operations. The website they updated is very clean and professional. Many of our suppliers now want their content to be displayed on our site.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They used Trello and Skype to provide detailed updates. Our communication was very effective. We had daily interaction.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Bridge Global offered impressive communications including daily updates.  The standard of work they produced was very high.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could potentially be a bit more commercially aware when putting the work together as I would still have to direct bridge as to what was exactly required.

We are a digital agency and technology consulting firm developing cross-platform applications and enterprise gateways. We also develop projects involving augmented reality for retail and industry.

I am one of the founders of the company and Chief Creative Officer.

We were looking for specialists in certain areas of the Magento platform. Bridge Global was able to address a business and technology problem for one of our clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bridge Global was in charge of developing an e-commerce Magento website for our company. They also did database work, quality assurance, and custom coding for the same client.

We first assigned the job to another company, which failed. A consultant partner mentioned Bridge Global to us.

The total cost of Bridge Global's services was around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Bridge Global in the summer of 2015. Our project had a duration of 10 months and was completed 2 and a half months ago. We are still working on small touch-ups.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

I am 100% satisfied. We worked through a functional specifications document which was developed in collaboration with the client. It was completely fulfilled by Bridge Global. We also addressed many change orders throughout the job, and had a highly detailed quality assurance and bug review phase, which lasted 2-3 months in itself. Every bug and issue was addressed.

What did you find most impressive about Bridge Global?

Bridge Global has a long-term strategic view on the work, versus the hit-and-run approach which we saw with other partners. Bridge Global is a very thorough and thoughtful group. We've worked with many vendors, but Bridge Global has become a strategic partner of our firm.

Are there any areas Bridge Global could improve?

It's a people job, so the more people are added to the project, the faster it progresses.

he pain of online hiring is common everywhere and none of the existing solutions take care of it at a satisfactory level. There is an overload of job portals and it wastes job seekers' time to redirect them to ad-filled pages. This does a lot more harm and limits the useful job hunting that takes place. On the other side, people waste a lot of time online to find relevant courses or education opportunities. We are trying to solve both of these issues by creating a trusted platform with real connectivity between people.

Technically we need to build and test out a lot of tools for our users and iterate faster based on feedback to achieve these goals.

SOLUTION

We are building a platform for employers and recruiters to share their opportunities, and job seekers to get matched with real signals rather than just keywords. On the education side we are building an online research platform for career minded people to find a right course to improve on their professional side.

We have an in house team of developers to build the platform, and we had many features that are obvious and time consuming to build, that’s why we started outsourcing to Bridge.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Bridge has been very helpful, providing us with the right talent and making them ready to adapt to meet the technical and business requirements of our solutions. Bridge's team helped us complete more product features on time and hence helped us move ahead faster with our projects.

Even though there were some quality issues with initial deliveries, they were able to quickly come back with proper solutions.

Our goal was to deliver an app and a user-friendly backend that could easily be employed by clients.

We'd worked with them before with great results. We were looking for specific knowledge which couldn't be found nearby. We were also looking for a company that is stable and consistent that we could come back to later on.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

The app they developed asks questions after a lecture or an education. The admin section they developed allows users to add events or games, with questions that are later presented in the app.

I worked with several different people.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This was the second app we developed with them and it was a smooth process. With this new app, we can now expand a segment of our business that we didn't have before.

They had one senior project manager and I was the other. This was very effective since we were always able to communicate with our teams.

The communication, both in its speed and clarity.
