My wife and I just recently launched a new business in the Eyelash Extension industry, supplying the World's First Luxury Lash Cleansers. Since the industry is so new, and our experience with branding/creative direction is so new, we knew we had to reach out to a real professional. 

Erik was extremely helpful, and I couldn't imagine choosing anyone else. Not only were Erik and the team incredibly helpful, kind, and professional, they worked hard and had little to run with and still did an amazing job. 

For context, we wanted to do an interview-style video for a brand statement nested in our "About Us." Something that made people understand who we are and what we do in 60 seconds. With little industry knowledge and really not too much help from us, he was able to create and direct everything and it turned out beautiful. The key deliverables included: 

• A 3-hour video shoot
• casting a model
• "Behind-the-scenes" (BTS) pictures
• Multiple videos, including a trailer

All were delivered in 2 weeks.

The outcome of the project was a solid video and amazing pictures that were delivered on time. The video is something that we're still proud of today that has been seen by thousands of customers. The pictures we received are still being used as marketing material and the value outweighed the cost.

Erik has clear deadlines and excellent communication. Everything was delivered on time, including edits and post-production work. He responded to our needs in a timely manner and gave great suggestions for edits.

The personalities on the project. They worked well together and built off each other. Several times throughout the shoot, they would spitball ideas off each other and create fantastic mini shoots that we were able to use as content for no extra charge.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Bridge City Media could have done differently?

Nope, they did a fantastic job. My only critique would be to do the main video after all the mini-shoots and model work. We were extremely nervous in the beginning, as this was new to us, and towards the end, we were incredibly comfortable after spending time with the team. I think if we could redo it, we would do the main video at the end when we were all acquainted and comfortable with one another.

I hired Bridge City Media when I found myself in need of a video production company in the Portland area for a company recognition video. Being from the east coast, I didn't have any local referrals, so I researched and interviewed a few companies. After chatting with Erik about the project, I felt confident his team was the right one to help us capture our award winner's story. The crew was absolutely amazing to work with. They were very communicative prior to the video shoot and ensured all the details were squared away so that the day ran smoothly. On-site, the crew was great at working with our interviewee, ensuring he was comfortable on camera, and helping him throughout different takes to ensure he was happy with the way he told his story. They captured the best indoor and outdoor shots possible, and the final footage / supporting b-roll was very compelling. Overall, I just truly enjoyed how the crew had such rigor and attention to detail but were so courteous and friendly so the day of the video shoot was both productive and fun. After our video shoot, I had to ask the team to step in to help us edit the final video, which wasn't part of my original plan. They were so flexible, turned around the final product very quickly, and they nailed the parts of the story that we were looking to capture. Everything ran perfectly, and they made my job as the Communications leader very easy! Best of all, our award winner was very excited about the way they brought his story to life. It has been a week since we distributed the video, and we haven't stopped getting positive comments. I really couldn't recommend them more!

The Bridge City Media team produced a consistently visually interesting final cut that was entertaining and conveyed complex ideas clearly. The technical level of the production was top notch and response to my few requests for changes was rapid and accurate with completion on time and on budget.

Project management and responsiveness was (and still is!) excellent. Our project spanned several months, involving three video shoots at three different facilities, in two different states. At every stage, the team communicated the schedule and logistics with ample lead time. Communication was always clear. All assets were delivered on time. The team at Bridge City really cares about their clients and the quality of their work.

I really appreciated everything and knew we would get high quality video based on their portfolio, but I was especially delighted by the professionalism of the employee interview process. Erik directed and interviewed our 12 employees featured in our video and did a fantastic job.

I watched him move intuitively with the follow up questions, all while ensuring the interviewees felt comfortable. He also gave great advice regarding our initial list of interview questions, which really guided the story arc of the final, 3-minute video.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Bridge City Media could have done differently?

I'm really happy with everything they did, so I don't think they could have done anything differently. One way they might be able to improve is to offer more styles for animation.

I'm the Chief Marketing Officer at VR Motion, a company focused on harnessing and advancing the use of Virtual Reality to enhance driver training for commercial fleet, trucking, last-mile delivery, and first responders.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bridge City Media, and what were your goals?

Pictures are worth a thousand words and seeing is believing. Our company had just wrapped up the development of our latest product release and we needed to tell the world about it. Because we utilize Virtual Reality that is accessed by wearing a VR Headset, it can often be difficult to help our prospective customers to be able to visualize what our product experience is like and most importantly how it can help their business.

We commissioned the creation of an Explainer Video to help with this challenge so that we could quickly and memorably illustrate for prospects how our solution works and how they can benefit.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Bridge City Media because of our experience with them on previous projects. Their production talents in bringing a product story to life, while also opening up their creative process for client inputs, was a major factor in them being selected. They also are great communicators as well collaborators.

We started with a Discovery Meeting to understand the goals and needs of the project. We then moved into a Script Writing phase to ensure we were covering the key topics and content. A Story Board was developed that included potential video scenes as well as animated scenes. In parallel, the production team was scheduling Shoot Days and securing a selection of acting talent and voice over options for us to consider.

I was welcomed to participate in the Shoot Days where original footage was captured. Rough Cuts were then provided to ensure that my expectations were being met. After rough cuts were approved, final edits were carried out and our 4-minute Explainer Video was complete.

From there, (3) additional Cut Down videos were created from the raw content that was created in filming the much longer Explainer Video and these Cut Downs went through similar review cycles until I was satisfied. Once the remaining (3) Cut Down videos were finished, and the proceeding Explainer Video, the project was complete and I was given links to all the Final Versions of each video as well as a physical hard drive with all raw content.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with the Owner/Director of Production, as well as their Program Manager and Script Writer. Email communication was timely and when needed, a quick phone call to highlight a key area or confirm a key direction was always appreciated. Actual script feedback was done through Share Documents that streamlined the back-and-forth.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our Explainer Video was a key anchor point for a brand new website project that was happening in parallel to our video project. Key clips from our Explainer Video were incorporated into our website Banner Video to help grab attention. The Explainer Video is the star of our Product Page and is the key Attention Grabber we utilize in our outreach and demand generation campaigns where we send respondents directly to our Explainer Video to help them quickly understand our product and the fit with their needs. We've seen a dramatic up-tick in inbound responses from web viewers who have left their contact information or have requested further contact. I've also received first-hand feedback from prospects that the Explainer Video was effective and key to their understanding of our product.

My Main Point Of Contact was readily accessible and available via email, text, and phone. Google Docs were used for sharing and capturing edits. Their overall project management style was efficient, open to client feedback, and timely.

I am a very hands-on marketing person, and sometimes that can be an annoyance to a potential creative team. Bridge City Media is delighted to include me in their creative process and we work very well together. I thoroughly enjoy their creative process and by including me as deeply or as little as I want to be within their process, I have found that the end result is fantastic.

We had a few emails back and forth regarding our goals for the videos and the people that would be featured. Being familiar with Bridge City's work, we left much of the creative details up to them. We did provide some ideas for the script. Then we scheduled our shoot day and were told what we needed to do on the day of, and what to expect. Our shoot was pretty straightforward, everything was captured in the time we had scheduled. Editing was completed quickly. We requested a couple of small edits and had our final product promptly.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with Teri and Erik in the planning process. They were easy to communicate with. There were other team members there on shoot day (apologies, I don't recall names). Email communications continued following the shoot and throughout the quick editing process. Overall communication was prompt and efficient.
