I'm a Director at a Diagnostics services provider based in Bangalore. We offer pathology, radiology and doctor consultations.

For what projects/services did your company hire Brandshark, and what were your goals?

Our website was outdated - about 15 years old. We needed a new ecommerce enabled website on Wordpress that would allow online booking of services. We hired Brandshark to help us with the website development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed 5+ website developers based in Bangalore, that we found on Google. Selected Brandshark on basis of strength & credentials of management team, samples of previous work that they shared, scope of work promised.

The first step was development of a landing page that we could use for google ads. The process followed was wireframe --> design --> launch, all of which was co-ordinated by the Brandshark team over a month. Post the landing page we moved to wireframing of the master website, followed by design. There were multiple iterations here which the Brandshark team was accommodating about.

We launched the website after about 5 months of this process. We are now at a 3 month website maintenance phase post the development and launch. Technology used was Wordpress, Kinsta for hosting.

Our main POC was the project leader. He had a designer and developer under him, that I am aware of.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are getting good feedback from our patients on the design and usability of our new website. Thanks to the e-commerce integration we are looking at a payback period of less than 6 months on the website investment with Brandshark.

We had catch-ups / discussions over Google Meet post deliverables were provided by the development team, and for any iterations required. Other than that we communicated if there was any roadblock / requirement over email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Quality of work was good, they met all the deliverables as they had promised. They were also very accommodating of changes, which we appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Communication could be better in terms of recording MOMs post meetings - some changes we suggested were missed on a few occasions, we had to point them out multiple times. A few minor bugs came up post website launch but their team was quick to resolve.

Evaluated Brandshark against many small and large companies with the capability to produce good quality designs. Only after thorough evaluation did we finalize Brandshark.

Brandshark started by providing wireframes. Once the wireframes were finalized, they came up with the actual design. I wanted more options in design and was not satisfied with the original options. Brandshark team was flexible enough to provide more options. I was able to select a design team of my choice. Once the design was finalized, they delivered a design which could result in an SEO friendly website.

I had a design lead and content/SEO lead from Brandshark interfacing with me. In the background, there was a designer and content writer working with the leads.

The design resulted in an excellent website. Customer feedback about usability has been highly positive. The results from an SEO perspective should come in two weeks.

Highly effective. The Brandshark team was quite good at interaction. They took the feedback positively and always were flexible with changes.

They have an impressive design and SEO capability. This coupled with their flexibility to receive feedback is their strength.

Can do better research on content. but that's a minor blip compared to their overall capabilities.

We needed help with custom development on our Wordpress site and regularly maintaining it for maximum conversions and search engine performance. Brandshark developed the website menu, pricing page, and other smaller projects like website forms and regular performance optimizations.

They were referred to us by a colleague following which we reviewed their past work, experience with Wordpress and cost benefit to us before we partnered with them on a monthly retainer basis.

The work involved converting the designs provided by my team into functional tools and website pages on Wordpress. Projects start with a discussion on overall goals where Brandshark helped us vet different approaches and technologies before finalizing on a viable idea.

A requirement document would be shared following which a timeline is finalized. Following that we would share the high-fidelity designs which were then developed. Developed designs were created on a stage environment where they were reviewed, and any changes would made as requested, before they are deployed to production environment.

They are a small agency so we worked directly with one of the founders who managed our projects. We would occasionally work with one or two developers depending on the scope of the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The biggest project we worked on together was the redesign of pricing page which resulted in a 2.7 percentage point increase in conversions for visitors who saw the page.

We use email and Whatsapp to share requirement documentation and status updates. Any delays in estimated timelines are communicated well and we are able to work with the Brandshark team to work through any roadblocks. They are quite responsive.

The spirit to explore any problem even if it outside their primary area of work (eg. helped us set up website tracking using Google Tag Manager) and the quick turnaround time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Brandshark has mainly been helping us translate existing designs into code. I've yet to explore the value they can add in creating the designs from scratch based on a project requirement.

The whole engagement we very smooth, there few steps followed by them which drove smooth closure - 1. Requirement gathering: where they actually figured out what kind of look and feel we are trying to achieve. It is really good that they have understood so quickly 2. Development of design theme: Minimum iteration went in from our end, as their understanding was very clear about our requirement. 3. On-going development: Through out the process Brandshark was very collaborative and they were always open for any kind of feedback and implement accordingly. 4. Go-live: Smooth. All collective feedback were incorported properly.
