I'm the Marketing Director for a 40 year old Home Service/Plumbing company, Allens Plumbing, based on Maui but also operating on Oahu. Although our audience is typically aware of our company, we recognized the need to modernize our branding efforts.

We know that our audience is consuming media in more places than ever and that people are no longer looking in the phonebook when they need a plumber. We partnered with Brandefy to produce a video that we'll be using in our Targeted Video Ad campaigns, ensuring that our brand and the services that we offer are presented properly in the digital space.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Originally, in early 2021, we considered utilizing a Whiteboard/Explainer video to convey our catalog of services to our audience. I spoke with a handful of video production/marketing companies about this goal. After finding Brandefy on Clutch, I had a great conversation with Marton Varo. He was quick to understand the needs of our brand and showed me videos from Brandefy's catalog that matched the feel we were looking for. We ended up not making the original type of video; however, Marton did well to keep the conversation going by checking in every few months and doing his absolute best to maintain awareness of our company, brand, and goals. When the time came to produce an animated video, Marton was the only person I had to call. Once again, he heard exactly what we needed and was able to present a vision that did well by the Allens Plumbing brand.

Again, the conversation with Marton went on for basically a year before production even started. He always made sure to keep himself informed on Allens Plumbing, the marketing moves that I was making, and how our goals may have shifted over time. When we did finally decide that it was time for an Ad for our Targeted Video campaigns, Brandefy was able to deliver the project right on time. It took about 6 weeks from start to finish. Marton and his team were very easy to work with and the workflow was efficient and always made sense. After I filled out their questionnaire, the Brandefy team was able to write a script that conveyed our message very well. They were happy to make any small tweaks and did a great job making sure that all the main points of our message made it into the final product. When it came to the actual production, they were, again, very happy to address any small adjustments/tweaks needed and the turnaround time was always exceptionally quick.

We worked directly with Marton, Brandefy's Executive Producer. Again, it was truly a pleasure. Marton is just exceptionally perceptive and did an amazing job to capture and convey the needs of our company and brand. He understood our direction and vision and created a great product.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We launched our Targeted Video campaign today (March 24, 2022); but, to this point, anyone that's scene has been very impressed. We're confident that it will do well and be a great creative switch from some of our existing efforts. The Brandefy team did a great job to keep the message clean and professional, while also incorporating the local appeal that's necessary in our market.

Marton was exceptionally easy to work with, always did a great job to capture our vision, was consistently available and quick to respond to questions or concerns. Quite sincerely, he's a very easy person to work with, listened well, and produced a video that exceeded all of our expectations.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Marton is exceptionally personable. Even when the video wasn't a priority of ours -- and it was unclear if we'd ever make one -- Marton was happy to keep the dialog going. Beyond this project, I feel like I've got a career-long business colleague in Marton.

I've got nothing negative to say about Brandefy or Marton. It was truly a pleasure to work with them.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Brandefy from a short list of 5 companies based upon not only their talents ad ability to creatively achieve our objective, but their thoroughness and close collaboration every step in the process. We shot in two very different locations, one in Cabo at the height of the Pandemic and at a hotel in our local SoCal area. Marton and his team remotely directed the Cabo shoot perfectly with a local crew.

And he and his team worked diligently and long hours at the SoCal location to make certain all footage was perfect in achieving our mission. After the Cabo shoot, the product design was modified extensively and Brandefy painstakingly pulled together clips from that shoot to ensure no inconsistency with the final design used in the SoCal shoot. Seamlessly and expertly done!

Since EZ Stacker was a game changer for the industry, a critical step was to ensure that we grabbed our audience's attention immediately and captivated them throughout the video. So, message development and then storyboarding/scripting right on point were critical to film execution.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We were fortunate to work directly with Marton on all aspects of the project. As the perfect collaborator, Marton ensured all aspects of the project from storyboarding, scripting, talent, music, voiceover achieved our objectives. And not only in English, but a separate Spanish version as well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As our go to tool, we use it everywhere, in Zoom meetings, in face to face meetings, on You Tube, on our website, everywhere. We are told continuously that because of the video, EZ Stacker sells itself. From my perspective, there is no greater compliment for Brandefy in what they have achieved for us. Prospects love watching it over and over again. The video not only achieved its objective of "awakening" the audience, it has helped us in securing luggage cart orders from all the big brand names in the hotel industry.

I’m a TV producer working as an independent contractor. As an executive producer, I also sometimes create sizzle reels for networks.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, studios were shut down so I needed someone to help me out.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve been using Brandefy’s services for various projects over the last five years, but for our most recent project, I needed to prove that my idea could work. During the development stage, I took that idea and aimed to present it to a network. 

Marton (CEO & Executive Director) helped me execute my plan. He helped me put together a mini-pilot episode of what the TV show would look like. It was a full-on production like the other projects we’ve done together. 

What is the team composition?

Marton was my key contact to everybody in the team, which was huge; he brought in the necessary people for the project, and I only dealt with the creative and technical aspects of the collaboration.

A friend of mine recommended Marton. I had a phone interview with him, and then we had lunch. He seemed like the right person for my projects. There were a lot of bad people in Hollywood, but I never felt that Marton was taking advantage of me. As a result, I decided to work with him. 

What is the status of this engagement?

This project lasted from August 2020–March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The mini-pilot was sold to the network, so I received a pilot order — it was successful. Overall, Brandefy was key in executing the idea that I presented to industry professionals. I was never worried about Marton and his team; he saw the direction I wanted to pursue from day one, and he ran with it. He gave me exactly what I needed, helping me push my project forward and turn it into a full-on TV special. Simply put, the Brandefy team was instrumental in my move to the next level. This was a difficult project, but they effectively executed it.

How did Brandefy perform from a project management standpoint?

Marton delivered early, and that was unheard of in this work. That saved me a lot of time. To communicate, I preferred grabbing a drink while discussing things, so I usually bought lunch for Marton even though he sometimes insisted on buying. Apart from that, we also did Zoom, FaceTime, and phone calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Brandefy understood our ideas and needs, and they ran with them. They saw our dream and made it better. On top of that, they worked fast. They delivered either on time or earlier than expected.

No, there weren’t any. I had exactly what I wanted, and everything was delivered quickly.

I'm an independent TV producer. I freelance for production companies as a field, story, and casting producer while also creating TV shows. Three of the shows I created are optioned at various production companies.

Brandefy edited a sizzle reel for a TV show I created that was selected as a finalist for the Propelle Program initiative to amplify female content creators.

What were your goals for this project?

My goal was to have a sizzle reel for MVP that stood out from the pack, was clear and concise in it's storytelling and imagery, and would land me another option.

SOLUTION

How did you select Brandefy?

I was referred to Brandefy by a friend. I had never heard of them before, nor had I ever hired a branding company for a sizzle reel. I thought this would be a smart move because it would add the expertise of someone in branding that could put a unique stamp on the sizzle. Brandefy knocked it out of the park!

I delivered a drive that had a basic string out, as well as additional video footage and GFX elements that they might want to incorporate into the sizzle. I also gave them an A/V script so they could have a reference for my string out.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Brandefy would send me a first pass, I'd give notes, then they'd incorporate the notes. I only had to give one round of notes. That never happens. Usually, you go back and forth with an editor 4-5 times or sit in the bay with them while they edit the sizzle. We didn't have that option because of Covid so we communicated remotely.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Brandefy's work on the sizzle made me look like a rock star! I came in 1st runner up and EveryWoman Studios optioned the show. They're already out to start talent to attach to the project.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow between me and Brandefy was very effective. Marton Vero was very easy to work with! I got cuts quickly and changes were made within a few hours.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What I found most impressive was the fact that they really know what they're doing. Even though sizzle reels isn't something they do every day, it surely felt like it. There was literally no mixed communication or misunderstandings with the direction of the reel. I've told many of my colleagues that hiring Brandefy for sizzles is the way to go.

No areas for improvement. I'm not only 100% satisfied, I want to work with them again. I feel like they're my secret weapon!

The video details the traffic congestions issues in our place, and how taking a sustainable commute like carpooling can positively impact traffic congestion, your social life, and save you money.

The video addressed perceived barriers that people may have about carpooling and provided resources to employees about how to start carpooling. The process for creation was very helpful for our team to be able to start with a creative brief, review a visual storyboard, and be able to comment before moving to production.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

The feedback process was helpful, I appreciate that there were several steps along the way, not just going straight to video production. This allowed us to get the best video possible because edits were made along the way and everyone was on the same page. I enjoyed this incremental process a lot.

Due to COVID-19, we were not able to promote this carpool video as we had hoped. However, many of our partners love this video and would like to use it as well so I see that as successful!

Everything! But I think the visual storyboard step was very impressive. Having the smaller steps built into the process of creation allowed for collaboration and ultimately a great product.

For 15 years I have been the face and the founder of both fitness and wellness companies. We bring a full spectrum of fitness and wellness to our in-house clientele. As well as through virtual programs, corporate clients and co-branding marketing partnerships.

Most recently we hired Brandefy to shoot, edit and direct 6 instructional fitness videos for a new online course we are rolling out in 2020. I originally worked on a longer project with Brandefy a few years back.

What were your goals for this project?

Very fast turn around with quality material! I gave them a second challenge- I wanted it to look professional but to also appear like I shot it on my own. I did not want it to appear too polished, and I wanted it polished all at the same time.

I have no doubt there may of been some foreheads in hands as I told them this on our pitch call. :-) But they nailed it!!! I could not be happier.

How did you select this vendor?

I originally worked on a longer project with Brandefy a few years back. In this project I was hied as the expert talent and Brandey was the video team. We did approximately 30 videos together over a course of a month, I believe we did 3 1 day shots.

I was impressed with the professionalism, focus to detail and positive laidback attitude of Marton and everyone at Brandefy. Now that I am producing my own courses and programs I felt it was a no brainer to reach out to Brandfy.

On this recent project we shot 3 20-30 minute instructional workout/ coaching videos and 2 10 minute additional content videos. We wen t with a 2 camera approach.

Marton and I had 2 calls prior to the shoot where we discussed the look, feel, and style. He was great about listening to my ideas, then constructively giving his professional opinions to enhance my vision. It truly felt collaborative.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It looks good- we just started selling the program so I don't have user feedback yet. I am confidant the material will have good reviews from my consumer. With that said I suspect that I could easily go to Brandefy and share any negative commenting and that they would do their best to fix for us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Seamless. The Brandefy team are tru professionals. They were respectful to everyone on my team. They carried themselves with confidence not arrogance. Which made my team relax, giving them the space to only do their job. And, don't have to followup on every detail. In fact nothing fell through the cracks. It's like Brandefy doesn't have any cracks.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It's hard to just give one thing. The quality of the work was very good, but I think the thing that sets them apart from any of the other very good production companies out there is their personal touch.

I felt like I was working with friends, and that we were in this together. That means a lot to me and makes it all a more enjoyable process. I did also love Marton's directing/notes during shoot- that really helped me shine at a whole new level.

No. I mean Marton and his team were even great with my dog being on set and in some of the shoots- which I dropped into their lap the day of! Oops.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We wanted a high-quality product, and they delivered on that. If we need another well-produced video, we’ll talk to them again.

How did Brandefy perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent in this regard. Marton and his team were very organized and efficient, and that was appreciated. They were very quick and communicative in terms of responding, putting scripts together, and organizing the shoot in a timely manner. They helped tweak different edits to make sure that we were happy, without bothering us with any updated statements of work or anything. They worked within our budget and were easy to work with. We mostly communicated via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness, in conjunction with their knowledge and the quality of their work, was unusual and appreciated.

You need to know what you want to communicate about your products. They will do a great job producing it, but you need to know what you want the end result to look like.
