I’m the store director of a grocery store called Cub Foods. We're part of Jerry's Enterprises.

What challenge were you trying to address with BomberJacket Networks?

We had problems with our WiFi and networks. We started a program called Instacart for grocery shopping. If a customer wanted their groceries delivered to their car, our shoppers would shop them for the customer to pick up. When we started the program, we had problems. We received poor scores on how long it took for our employees to deliver groceries to customers' cars. We found that our WiFi wasn’t strong enough, which caused our phones to cut out and created incomplete grocery orders.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BomberJacket came to our store and used a tool to assess our network problems. Mike (Owner & CTO) walked around the whole store and found three areas where the WiFi signal was poor. After our head of IT approved the project, Bomber Jacket provided a couple of teammates who installed a solution to boost our signal.

I worked with Mike (Owner & CTO) and two other people from BomberJacket.

How did you come to work with Bomber Jacket Networks?

Our company’s IT head decided to hire BomberJacket. When we had the WiFi problem in our store, our company sent Mike.

How much have you invested with them?

The project will cost approximately $15,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our company has used BomberJacket services for over ten years. However, this project lasted between November–December 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Once the project was done, we had a strong signal throughout our store. We increased our ratings for the Instacart service, which was important. The day before his team came on-site, Mike told us what he needed and where his team would be working. Their crew arrived at 10 p.m., which worked for us. They listened to us and always cleaned up too.

How did BomberJacket Networks perform from a project management standpoint?

BomberJacket communicated with us about their schedule and told us what they planned to do. I have Mike’s cell number. Although he has an email, I just called him. If I left a voicemail, he called me back right away.

What did you find most impressive about them?

BomberJacket was honest, which was the best part about working with them. For example, they don’t tell us that a project will take two days when their team knows it will actually take a week.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I liked working with BomberJacket. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be honest about what you want to be done. Have an open conversation with them.

I’m the IT manager of a family practice medical clinic.

What challenge were you trying to address with BomberJacket Networks?

We needed to replace all of the network switches for our telephone system. All of our switches were end-of-life and we needed all new equipment.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, they gave me quotes on a couple of different options. Then, they walked me through demonstrations of each one. After selecting one, they swapped out the equipment for us. Then, they put it in and built the network. The team also provides ongoing support.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three people from their team.

How did you come to work with BomberJacket Networks?

I’ve worked with them for almost 20 years. They were referred to us back when we needed some initial network help, and we’ve been working with them ever since.

We’ve spent around $88,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This project began in August 2020, and our work is ongoing.

Everything was wonderful. It was fabulous, and I have nothing but praise for them.

How did BomberJacket Networks perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They give me the comfort of knowing that I’m being taken care of. Whenever I sign on the dotted line with them, I know it’s going to be perfect. It always is.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re a small company so their response time isn’t always immediate. They always get back to me on the same day. That never bothers me though since they’re always quick to return my call.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is not to hesitate. They’re the perfect group to use for any network or infrastructure needs. Call them as soon as you can.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

WE had used them before and they are always very nice and prfoessional.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Our store's wired and wireless network came to the end of its lifecycle and needed to be updated. After they analyzed the wired and wireless environment, a capacity design was created for both environments. The next stage, they implemented the design and verified that the coverage and capacity requirements were met for both systems.

Mike Bramm was our lead contact and 2 professional IT specialists were on site.

They successfully upgraded our wireless network.
