We are a realtively new company and so our core goal was to find a way to acquire new customers in a sustinable manner. We were also interested in whether using Facebook Ads would be a cost effective way to find good talent, especially considering the Philippines is cheap to advertise in. 

The deliverables were: acquire new customers, get the CAC to below A$1,000, and to find at least 100 candidates.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Despite setting a CAC target of $1,000 in our initial conversations, Blue Ring got us a CAC of $800 on our first customer and now averages between $600 and $700. Well under target. This has allowed us to scale much quicker than we were otherwise planning on and has meant that new customers isn't the limiting factor. This was largely down to creating a ton of new ads each month and helping us work on our funnel to better suit our target audience. Neither of which I think we would have been able to do on our own.

We got a few good caniddates from our Facebook Ads as well but the cost:volume ratio wasn't quite right so we paused that.

It was very good, we gave them a lot of rope but they got us results very quickly and even though results were good from Day 1 they continued to optimise and bring costs down off their own back.

In past companies our agencies always felt like they would do only one specific task that they were hired to do as opposed to taking control of the whole process. Blue Ring has held our hand from start to finish, they may as well have been running the company themselves! They did everything from planning the user journey to making new creatives to running the ads.

The onboarding phase was a little bit clunky but once they had everything they needed from us they were off to the races.

We had a good end to the campaign as we expected. We had an 11.65 ROAS on the remarketing campaign and a 1x ROAS on the new customer campaign.

We finished out the campaign very similarly to the Christmas campaign. roughly the same amount spend, same frequency, The CPCs for the Easter campaign were much better than Christmas although this is more a product of lower advertising costs (CPMs) than higher intent (CTR). 

The ROAS for Christmas far exceed Easter however which I don't think is a surprise. This was the top-performing ad for the duration of the campaign. It had the highest ROAS and the most spend. The CPC was slightly higher than others but I would suggest that because the text is very direct response driven and there is a big clear CTA that we had a better conversion rate on this ad.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

very high ROAS, great engagement, and conversion rate. Our business is very seasonal, so at times it can be tough to measure KPIs. Over 80% of our customers are repeat customers, so it is more about general awareness and availability to make reservations apparent to our customers.

That being said, we are more than pleased with the outcome of our Retargeting, Broad-Audience, and Look-a-like audience advertisements performed.

While bringing up the number of conversions we receive, Rob has also managed - at the same time - to bring down our cost per purchase which is amazing. Through his know-how and management of our Meta Ads Suite, he's also led to us going from 3,000 to 8,000 newsletter subscribers.
