I'm the executive producer for a nonprofit, that focuses on advertising and marketing for the fight against climate change.

We hired BluBlu to be our illustrators, animators, and overall post partner for a spot we did for our brand Science Moms. We wanted to create an emotional piece by illustrating a letter one of our Science Moms wrote to her children. We wanted to connect with our consumers, who are also mothers, about the love they have for their children and wanting to protect their future from climate change.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We talked with a few different production partners and studios. Blu Blu was so invested in the cause they were able to meet us where we needed to be budget wise without compromising quality.

We had a kickoff call with our creative team and BluBlu to talk about our vision for the piece. Blu Blu then went into storyboarding and illustration while getting our teams feedback and approvals along the way. We then moved into animation while having scheduled reviews. The last step was finalizing the music to the piece and then conforming for multiple channels.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We work with a producer Jed who was very responsive, collaborative and reliable from the beginning to the end of the project. Jed was very attentive to our timeline, but also being able to accommodate some last minute changes from our team. We could not have asked for a better partner to achieve our goals!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This is one of our most successful pieces in media. It resonated with so many of our consumers that drove them to action against climate change. The way Blu Blu was able to bring this life was able to connect to our mom's emotions, but also give them more knowledge about the effects of climate change.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Jed, our producer, was easy to communicate with and nothing fell through the cracks. If anything, our team delayed certain timing milestones, but Jed was on top of following up and accommodating when we were delayed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As a non profit, we have smaller budgets. Blu Blu was so invested in the cause they were willing to make our budget work, but also wanted the piece to be as high-quality as possible when we didnt have much money to put behind the piece.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No! I truly think they are a terrific partner.

I'm the account manager in an animation studio. We’ve got experience in almost every kind of animation: 2D, 3D and CGI effects.

In the case of L'Occitane, we hired an external illustrator who prepared the storyboard and styleframes according to the client's brief, once the illustrations were approved by the client, BluBlu started working on the animation.

Blu Blu prefers to complete 90% of the work before sharing the first preview which in this case works very well. After the first preview, we had 2-3 rounds of corrections before delivering the final animation.

BluBlu always delivers everything in a timely manner, they are ready to solve any problems on the way and keep me updated on a regular basis.

I then suggested modifications based on the client’s feedback. The team then refined the storyboard in an iterative feedback process. They ultimately delivered the final animation.
