Blu Edge created our logo, envelopes, letterhead, and website. They provided options for everything and offered expertise to help us choose the right fit for our company. 

They handled all our social media, but primarily worked on LinkedIn. We believed that would be the most effective expansion method, so we concentrated most of our efforts there.

There is a big difference in how our company branding and marketing looked before and after we worked with Blu Edge, and it's easy to see how they’ve impacted our business. It’s still too soon to see any metrics, but we feel they’ve made everything more modern. We plan on working with them again in the future.

They delivered everything on time and within budget. Any delays that occurred were from our end because Blu Edge was incredibly responsive and would get back to us very quickly. We communicated via email, phone calls, and WhatsApp.

Digital marketing is not something that anyone in our company was familiar with, and they explained everything to us so that we understood what was happening. Blu Edge also designed the logo, marketing posters, and menu. They made a complete manual for the clients to use as a standard for the restaurant, which will become a franchise. Finally, they created full mockup designs and social media templates to post ads.

These are the most brutal times Lebanon is going through with all the turmoil and collapse we are going through, a lot of talents are leaving the country. Blu Edge stood by our side and worked around our limitations (capability, financials, workflows) and adapted to the hectic dynamic but never made us feel uncomfortable. They were customer centric first and in our shoes which is a very important thing for us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

At the beginning it was not easy for them as we lost project owners who left the country in the middle of the process but they kept on working hard and adapting to our needs as if they were part of our organisation. They adapted their offers, their proposals, their rythm, their team to facilitate our journey and the entire experience.

Their purpose and values driven approach. Their sense of ownership and belongingness. This is not a typical transactional agency. We are not a typical key account. They are a human and authentic partner who is feeling, thinking, and working with us. There is no fake promises and the transparency and genuine care makes a big difference.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

On our end a lot of key learnings as we are rebuilding the team and we were focusing on crisis management vs. enabling the future only. On the agency's end, when we will have more time in the next few weeks we will involve them in capacity building, upskilling, strategic review and rethinking our Digital Marketing value proposition to align to our vision and strategic goals.

We communicate quite often and there seems to be great synergies between our companies and the team.

It is always a big plus to have direct access to the decision maker of any business you work with. It the most effective way to get things done fast and to your satisfaction.

Working with a company through digital communication when there is a 7 hour time difference can be challenging at times, but we seem to make it work. They communicated well despite the time difference.

Every month, Blu Edge prepares content for both our Instagram and Facebook accounts. They create the posts with codes to go with the pictures, and they use hashtags suited for the region we live in for tourism attraction. They are also in charge of our emails and responding to messages on social media.

I have one main point of contact, and three other people are working for us: one handles our social media, another is a supervisor, and the last one helps with the content creation.

We’ve gotten positive feedback from some of our followers — they’ve sent us nice comments about our content. We also got an email from a journalist who said that they would post an article about our motel in their newspaper if we accommodated them, but they need us to provide pictures and text. Blu Edge offered to help us with this.

Blu Edge has been increasing our visibility on Google. We’ve had more bookings, but as we’re in the middle of a pandemic, we can’t really measure the results now.

We need to be reasonable with our expectations as well. Currently, we’re using social media to remind people that we’re here, so when things go back to normal, they can come back to us. Even if we hired the best marketing company in the whole universe, it wouldn’t change anything for our business right now.

We communicate and have follow-ups through conference calls and emails. When I ask Blu Edge to change something, they take care of it within 24 hours. Even if it’s late at night, they respond.

They give us instructions. If we don’t reply right away, they send us a lot of reminders. Blu Edge never lets us miss an opportunity.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Blu Edge is super diligent in following up with us to approve posts. If they send me an email or posts to approve, sometimes it takes me a week to reply. I will receive a reminder email from them when they need an answer to prepare for the next month, and that is what I like.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they could improve. They’re doing what we expected them to do. In a year or two, when things go back to normal, we might have more feedback for them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tell Blu Edge what you expect from them. For example, I told them I didn’t want people to forget about us. People don’t like receiving emails or campaigns anymore because they either unsubscribe or send it to junk email, so the only way to keep them posted is through social media. They’re really good at creating campaigns and images for social media.
