I’m the general manager of a digital banking company.

What challenges were you trying to address with Blimop? 

We’re constantly looking for software development companies to collaborate with to increase our number of developers and, ultimately, our production. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Blimop augments our development staff, providing specialized developers who support us in various projects using Microsoft technologies and .Net.

What was the team composition? 

The number of developers we’ve worked with from Blimop has ranged between 2–10.

How did you come to work with Blimop? 

We were already working with another company based in Jujuy, where Blimop is based. During one of our business trips to the city, someone introduced us to Blimop’s CEO. They were highly referred, so we decided to work with them right away.

How much have you invested in them? 

We’ve spent up to $300,000 per year.

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started working with them at the beginning of 2019, and it is an ongoing collaboration.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure the success of our engagement based on our expectations, constantly checking if Blimop delivers the expected functionalities within the set timeframe. We also track the number of incidents every developer solves per day.

How did Blimop perform from a project management standpoint?

As we hire Blimop resources by the hour, the project management depends on us. However, their resources have integrated into our team well, and they always follow our instructions.

We have monthly meetings with one of Blimop’s project managers to discuss their developers’ performance and address any issues. Additionally, we use Azure to manage the project, where we upload tasks and do follow-ups.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Blimop’s consistency and diligence in the project are impressive. They’re in constant communication, always checking on the progress of their developers, which is very good. We’ve encountered issues with a couple of developers, but they always react quickly to train or relocate them.

Are there any areas they could improve? 

From the 10 developers we’ve worked with, we’ve had a couple of issues with three of them. Not having issues with any developer would have been ideal, but I really don’t know if that would have been possible.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very clear on the set of skills you need so they can provide you with the right developers.
