I’m a strategic analyst at a dental manufacturing company. I assist with the design and operations of the company and also work on web design and marketing materials.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BlankPage Agency provides contracted assistance with web design, application development, and changing designs for specific applications. The team primarily works on WordPress and custom packages they've built. BlankPage Agency has done most of the work from scratch. We give them the initial concept of what we need, and they work through it with us to meet requirements.

BlankPage Agency has designed landing pages using ACF. The team suggests ideas and delivers different options for the look and feel. The team has also created custom tables, boxes, images, and layout designs. BlankPage Agency has also worked on custom dashboards and information repositories. The team has done original coding for different databases and programs that we utilize and host on our server. BlankPage Agency also assists with the UI and API links for the ERP software we developed internally.

BlankPage Agency was already working with the company when I started working here.

We started working together in mid-2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

BlankPage Agency delivers landing pages that are easy to use. Our landing pages have gone from having around an 80% customer engagement rate to a 98% engagement rate. Additionally, the number of complaints about landing pages not working has gone down significantly. BlankPage Agency's overall response has been great.

How did BlankPage Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

BlankPage Agency is always within budget and is usually great about deadlines. If a deadline needs to be pushed, the team communicates with us. BlankPage Agency is good about pausing projects when we need more time to give them clarity and direction. BlankPage Agency is very responsive to any fixes required after delivering the product. If we have a problem after the product has been delivered, the team is usually very responsive and accurate with the changes.

We use Airtable and our ERP software as project management tools. Regular communication is through Zoom, Slack, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with BlankPage Agency's responsiveness. The team delivers work quickly and fixes the required aspects. BlankPage Agency backs up what they produce.

I can't think of anything BlankPage Agency can improve based on my experience.

Giving BlankPage Agency a good vision and design can expedite any project. The team is a friendly and easy company to work with, so having communication and frequent follow-ups with them is always good. If you facilitate the communication, you'll have a better experience.

The team at BlankPage delivered items and milestones on time and were available to answer questions or address any issues that arose. They did an great job of communicating project progress and asking providing clear instructions for what was needed when our input was required to move things forward. The team was also very considerate of our budget and when possible made recommendations about ways to deliver the same quaility at a lower cost.

I honestly had a great experience working with BlankPage Agency. I cannot think of anything at the moment that they could have improved upon or done differently for our project.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm a partner in a festive decorations supply company. We sell decorations to luxury hotels in and around Dubai for all of the festive occasions, with an emphasis on Christmas and New Year.

For what projects/services did your company hire BlankPage Agency, and what were your goals?

We hired Ebrahim to re-design our company website, as we were unhappy with it at the time. I wanted what everyone wants in a new website: better look and feel, more modern, etc. but what I wanted more than anything was a more interactive and featureful product gallery.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had worked with Ebrahim before for a personal project and was very impressed with not just his quality of work, but also how forthcoming he was, and that he seemed to take a genuine interest in the project. The ability to produce quality work is great, but if I can interface with someone at a deeper and more personal level, as I did with Ebrahim, it really helps me feel good about working with them.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had Ebrahim create a proprietary system because I wanted some flexibility with the design, and also the ability to tweak it later in case we decided to add/modify certain features and functions. First step was design: Ebrahim gave me a couple of designs, and I was happy with them right off the bat.

Then he got to work on the part that interested me most: the back-end. We are constantly adding new product lines, so the ability to quickly and efficiently make changes, sometimes bulk changes, to the website inventory data was essential. Another big part of the development was the product gallery functions that I mentioned earlier. I'm not sure what the industry-specific terms are, but I really wanted to have product filtering and also the ability to choose between different sizes and colours of a product, or both.

The relationship between our product images and database's item records is a rather complicated many-to-many mapping that is admittedly overly-complicated and also quite difficult to explain to a 2nd party. I was lucky, then, that Ebrahim is not only a perfect communicator in English, but also that he is switched on enough to understand what I was trying to explain, even when it was bizarre and suboptimal, and competent enough to actually get it done. I wouldn't have expected many others to have the patience, or have been willing and able to follow me through such a perilous development process :)

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked solely with Ebrahim, and I believe he was still in the process of setting up and expanding his agency at the time.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website was made and we were very happy with it! Regarding specific deliverables, I don't recall that were any noteworthy hiccups in the process. I do remember what a painstaking process the abovementioned product gallery development was, and how unbelievably patient Ebrahim was with all my modifications and revisions made on the fly.

I was constantly worried that he would get fed up with me constantly changing the goal posts, but I never once got the sense that he was losing his enthusiasm and commitment to the project. That's what sticks out most to me about the development process.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Most of our communication was done through Whatsapp/e-mail, with timely updates and follow-ups. In fact, it was mostly Ebrahim nudging me for things he was waiting for and hardly ever the other way round.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They embody a standard of candor, loyalty, and dedication that would be very rare to find in the business world. At least, the world I inhabit. In a business rife with racketeers and lacklusterers, it's just comforting to have someone like Ebrahim in your corner so you at least have one less thing to worry about.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nobody can do everything, and I think Ebrahim could benefit from having a dedicated design team to focus solely on high-level designs. I believe though, at the time of this writing, that this has already happened, so I applaud him for recognizing his shortcomings and actively taking steps towards bringing them up to the extremely high standard that he meets in all other respects.

For what projects/services did your company hire BlankPage Agency, and what were your goals?

Develop an app to enable people to share evidence of their ground and intentions. Needed users to feel safe sharing words, images, sound from their locations and time zones anywhere in the world, to make it visually and aesthetically inviting and communicate the intent of the project, to enable an ongoing accumulation of submissions to the app, a searchable function, a way for us as owners to retrieve the image, sound, and word files.

Referred by another artist. Ability to work collaboratively, good listener, think outside of the box to design something unique and functional.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The app is functioning well without glitches. We are looking at further development and assessing the possible outcomes. People have been able to contribute from around the world.

Easy to communicate with. Very comfortable asking questions and understanding possibilities. They were willing to make everything work through any glitches with patience and customer satisfaction in mind. It is rare to work with such an accomplished project manager who also was a creative problem solver and invested in our project with enthusiasm and genuine interest. This is a social sculpture project and both Ebrahim and Victor believed in the spirit of the project. An artist’s dream to work with someone like this.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Knowledge, willingness to experiment with solutions, excellent designers helping us to envision our dream and then making it come true. Functionality with creative beauty.

Hope to continue to work with them for next phases.

I work at Z Dental, one of the five companies under Zion Miracle, which is our parent company. I’m the senior operations specialist for all five companies, which include My Z Sonic and Zana.

What challenge were you trying to address with BlankPage Agency?

When I joined the organization, My Z Sonic had an old website with a lot of issues; it needed to be updated, and some processes needed to be changed. On top of that, we were hosting Z Dental on a promotional site — it wasn’t user-friendly. It was so cumbersome that customers weren’t using it. BlankPage’s challenge was to bring all our websites up to date and make them more user-friendly both on the front- and backend sides. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially worked on the My Z Sonic site. Ebrahim (CEO & Owner) and I looked into plug-ins and platforms that could replace the current one, which wasn’t so user-friendly when we wanted to make changes on the backend. We wanted to choose something that we could use five years into the future. 

At the same time, we were changing our internal operations by using a new inventory system. We wanted that system to sync with our new website — this was another backend challenge for BlankPage. Ebrahim worked with us through the kinks and questions that we needed to ask the inventory company about their software. Meanwhile, we used Elementor to design the website. 

So far, we’ve finished the Z Demo website, which is our second website project. We’re going to work on another website. Our team and BlankPage are also working on another project — we have around 4–5 projects with them. We plan to use their maintenance services, too.

What is the team composition?

Apart from Ebrahim, we’ve worked with a lead developer and an operations specialist. Overall, we’ve worked with at least 4–5 people from BlankPage. 

How did you come to work with BlankPage Agency?

BlankPage was already working with Z Dental when I came on board. The owner of our company started working with Ebrahim around 4–5 years prior to that through a freelancer site. 

At that time, our company’s owner needed a HIPPA-compliant landing page for an end client. He used various companies before, but he wasn’t receiving a good product. Then, he came across Ebrahim and saw that he had high ratings. That was when he started working with Ebrahim and BlankPage. Our owner told me to work with them on our websites. 

How much have you invested with them?

Over the years, we’ve spent around $20,000 or more.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2017, and the engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our websites are generating around 100–300 orders a day, up from the previous 60–70 orders a day. At some point, we’ve gotten up to 700 orders in one day. Even with that increase in order volume, we’re still working faster — it takes us less time to process orders because of the system we have in place. 

This improvement has been invaluable to our company, and it has saved us so much money — we’re using fewer vendors and less software. On top of that, we don’t have to hire so many people. 

How did BlankPage Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

BlankPage’s project management skills have been excellent. In terms of tools, we use ClickUp, which is my favorite tool. We communicate 99% of the time through Slack. Apart from that, we have Zoom calls weekly or more frequently if needed for a project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their personalities are impressive. For comparison, working with other vendors is like having robot calls. We’ve had dry conversations, and those vendors are more interested in telling us what we need rather than listening to what we’re saying about our customers and goals.

By contrast, BlankPage asks intuitive questions and listens to what we’re saying; they’re friendly, open, and warm. It’s like they’re sitting right beside me — it’s been awesome.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. I’ve never had a complaint about them, and they always answer my questions despite time differences. I put a message on Slack expecting to receive answers in the morning, but Ebrahim responds within an hour even if it’s 1 o’clock or 2 o’clock in the morning in their location. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do it — engage BlankPage. Some people might want to hire larger, more experienced companies, but you should give the team a chance. Even if you think they lack working experience, they have hands-on knowledge. Everybody has to start somewhere. Even if it’s just their first year working with you, you’ll get 15 years' worth of quality.

I'm one of the two co-founders of an Arts and Culture Organization in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ebrahim hasan?

We're trying to implement a website. Our website is built around a calendar for events, but we have a highly unusual and static interface. We've already begun designing it as it had a fairly complicated interface for a calendar. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The project is programming heavy with design and coding. Ebrahim (Principal) was integrating a custom design we had marked up with the Google Calendar API and doing so within a WordPress theme.

Potentially there are other languages involved, but he used primarily JavaScript, WordPress, and plug-ins.

The primary deliverable was to take the existing graphic mockup design and then to build a link to the Google Calendar API, and integrate all of this into a custom WordPress theme. All of these things were broken out into different deliverables, but the big deliverable were the final integration of the graphics API.

He is helping us troubleshoot existing bugs, although there have not been many. We may still have him do a few more things.

What is the team composition?

I just worked with Ebrahim during this project.

How did you come to work with Ebrahim hasan?

I made a post on Reddit describing the project in a fair bit of detail, explaining what we already had and what we needed. I got a huge number of responses that hadn't read what we were asking for and were quoting way too high for what we needed.

Ebrahim was friendly and clear. He understood the project with excellent communication. His rate was on target with what we expected to pay. We immediately started working with him and had a fantastic feeling about him.

How much have you invested with them?

We ultimately invested around $1,800 for the project, but that was significantly less than it's worth. He did a lot more for us than I feel we compensated him for. We are a struggling nonprofit organization with very little money, but this project would have been worth at least $4,000–$5,000.

We decided to pay him double what we had budgeted because we thought his work was so good and we wanted to keep him working with us. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in early September 2020. If anything else were to come up we would hire him again.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The metrics are very casual because we're so small and it's informal. However, I would say that we had zero problems working with them. Every metric we had he met with flying colors.

How did Ebrahim hasan perform from a project management standpoint?

He was exceptional. He met deadlines in advance. His communication was impeccable. I used to do application development and I really have never had this good of an experience working with someone before.

He was extremely responsive, very efficient, really friendly, cheerful, easy to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I felt that he was able to very quickly understand what we were asking him to do. It was fairly foreign and complicated because we are an arts organization and we are artists with a very particular vision. 

I thought that his ability to understand our priorities was impeccable. His ability to work with us as humans was remarkable. He was far beyond what we even needed. I think that was really outstanding.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In terms of his skills, I see nothing to improve on. I think he did excellently.

There's one minor thing where he and I had a communication problem. He misunderstood something I asked him for and it was my own mistake. I didn’t present it clearly enough and as soon as I told him he just laughed it off, immediately did it, and didn’t charge anything for it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just put your trust in him, he's very sharp. He's very good at listening and reading between the lines to get a clear picture of what you need.

I think it helped that we had some tech expertise so we could communicate with him. But I would also recommend him to someone who was not technologically sophisticated. I've worked with a number of web programmers, he’s the best I've worked with in terms of the overall capacity.
