We hired BIZSPICE SEZC to upgrade our existing application and add new features.

We also needed assistance with day-to-day maintenance. What were your goals for this project?    

We wanted to upgrade our API, server, and health-focused web application. Our goal was to stabilize the application, add functionalities and devices, and integrate multiple APIs. We also wanted to change the application layout.

We selected BIZSPICE SEZC by interviewing their project manager and development team. After evaluating their expertise, we hired them and formed a small team.

They offered web development, application enhancement, server management, PHP development, nGinx, Symphony, AngularJS upgrades, and deployment. They have completed the initial scope of work and are now involved in day-to-day development.

What was the team composition?    

We have two senior developers and a dedicated project manager.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The new interface has more features, and it’s more usable and completely responsive. Our clients like it.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Our project manager handles the entire project, ensuring that we communicate properly and that the team answers our queries. He communicates with his team and manages multiple deadlines. We track everything on a project management tool and speak to them weekly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I enjoy their timely communication and deep involvement with the project. BIZSPICE SEZC is so easy to work with. They do their best to serve us on time and meet our deadlines. If we have a tight deadline or we need additional expertise, they put more developers on the project and get everything done.

I can’t think of any.

We had an initial telephone call to discuss my business and its goals and what we wanted our site to accomplish. Within two days, they sent us a detailed report of the key functionalities our site would have and how they would implement them. We approved those mock-ups and then had a functioning site in two weeks.

Since we implemented the website, our traffic has increased 50%, and we’ve been able to venture into new markets because we know the needs of our target market.

They’re easy to work with and highly responsive. They gave deadlines for every implementation and communicated any potential delays. Because they consistently communicated with us, they delivered the exact quality we wanted.

The speed with which they worked—delivering a plan only two days after our call, and finishing the site in two weeks—was outstanding.

After a series of preliminary meetings and phone calls to discuss our goals, BIZSPICE presented an initial design—which we approved—and quickly implemented the new frameworks. They kept me informed throughout the process and readily applied my feedback.

Though multiple people worked on the project, I interacted solely with the CEO. I appreciated having a single point of contact to manage the entire scope.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Now much more user-friendly, the new design has improved sales, increased customer loyalty, and generated a boost in positive customer feedback. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was easy to work with, answered all of our questions promptly, and provided frequent updates. We communicated primarily via email, but also held weekly phone calls. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The BIZSPICE team was incredibly professional. I was impressed with how well they knew the platform on which we built the new website and how quickly they completed the project.

I am sure there is something that they can improve upon, but I honestly cannot think of anything at this time.

I’m the owner and founder of Little Footprint, an online retailer of organic children’s wear, barefoot-friendly shoes, natural and organic homeware, and ethical toys and gifts.

We needed to create a fully functional, optimized website for desktops all mobile devices. We also wanted to create a loyalty rewards program and install quick-view extensions and a one-step checkout.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to find an experienced Magento expert that could handle our rapid growth, increase repeat purchases, and minimize the number of pages a customer has to navigate.

How did you select this vendor?

Our previous vendor recommended BIZSPICE to us when they could no longer accommodate our growing business needs.

BIZSPICE expanded our previous homepage design, recommended and built a loyalty rewards program that was in line with our needs, implemented social features, including an Instagram feed, and worked on the SEO, optimizing our web pages and brands accordingly. As Little Footprint continues to grow, we’ve continued to work together to satisfy potential suppliers’ requests.

I work mostly with Ben, the director of BIZSPICE.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

BIZSPICE’s proactive approach and attention to detail have increased sales/turnover by more than 30% and average sale value by 10%. Our page also ranks higher on Google and our customer retention has improved. Finally, our website pages load faster than they used to.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We work on a retainer basis, which I highly recommend, as it gives BIZSPICE more control regarding upgrades and security patches. The BIZSPICE team takes time to establish a relationship with you, and in doing so, get a better idea of your needs. This allows them to be involved in decision making, provide recommendations, and understand where we’re heading. They care about their clients and work hard to contribute to their growth.

The director is involved in all communication, which has fostered a strong, trusting relationship between us. He’s as committed to our success as we are. He’s on hand for any queries I have for him and always responds promptly.

They do their SEO and site optimization with care, providing prompt service and a proactive approach.

The account manager manages the team and ensures we have smooth communication during the project. We use Trello and Slack to collaborate with their remote team.

The time difference makes their team less available during our normal work hours.
