We needed to build a web application for our company; we had a portal, but we couldn’t continue with it due to some security issues.

We initially gave Bitkraft Technologies a background on what we were looking for and the type of documents that needed to be uploaded. We needed two portals: one for documentation and one for reporting.

They worked on the documentation portal, which still needs to be more user-friendly. On the other hand, they built the reporting application from scratch with all our requirements.

We began our partnership in September 2022, and the portal went live in October 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have about 250 users minimum on each of the portals. We use the reporting portal almost daily, and it’s working well for us. The other portal only has documents for viewing and downloading; it currently isn’t doing so well, so we don’t use it a lot. However, we haven’t raised any red flags on that yet.

Moreover, we’re satisfied with their work; it covers most of what we were looking for. We’d like to change some small things, but Bitkraft Technologies did a fantastic job considering how little time we gave them to have the portals ready.

How did Bitkraft perform from a project management standpoint?

They were proactive and responsive when it came to deadlines. The team adhered to the deadline and even got things done before the date. They also resolved things in real time despite the time of the day; they were always available.

We communicated via email, phone calls, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What we liked the most was the way they communicated. They understood our idea and were able to deliver it. Moreover, Bitkraft Technologies was creative enough to give us recommendations and suggestions. They helped us bridge the gap on the things we might’ve missed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn't have any major recommendations because they did a fantastic job. However, we felt that the expense was a little higher than what we got in return. My team would have to negotiate with them.

My advice is to be vocal and thorough about what you’re looking for. I’m sure Bitkraft Technologies can decode that and give you better suggestions.

Since we're a product-based company, we wanted to transition one of our older desktop products to a web application. We needed development assistance, so we engaged Bitkraft.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bitkraft has redeveloped a web application from our old desktop-based product. First, we met with the architecture team to lay out the building blocks and create the initial framework. Bitkraft shared their technical expertise and installed the Angular framework, and made an API to enable us to scale the application. 

As soon we were confident in the framework, we onboarded additional Bitkraft team members to work on the project. The Bitkraft design team evaluated our UI screens and identified the appropriate tools and controls to transform the product into a web application. Then, they used Adobe XD to create mock-ups for screen designs. 

The Bitkraft team has been working to develop the first module for the web application. Once the module is stable, we plan to begin testing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our application development projects are quite robust, so we measure success by adherence to project timelines. We’ve compared our targets with the work that Bitkraft has completed, and we’re on track to complete the first module on time. 

The Bitkraft team has filled a knowledge gap and improved our internal workflows, allowing us to onboard other partners more easily. Furthermore, our other partners have been able to build off the framework that Bitkraft has set up.

Bitkraft has met deadlines and satisfied our expectations. They’ve been very communicative, accommodating, and supportive partners. The team has been committed to the project and dedicated significant effort to ensure we meet our time estimates. 

We’ve been pleased with Bitkraft’s support and technical expertise. They’re very knowledgeable, but they’ve also been transparent when unsure of something. For example, we initially asked to use Java technologies for the project; they were open about their limited expertise, and we worked together to find a solution.

At this point, we view Bitkraft as a valuable technology and development partner. They’ve impressed us with their technical expertise, especially with Angular technologies. They’ve also introduced us to new technologies that have helped our internal workflows, which has been great.

It would be great if Bitkraft could scale to add more people to the team to complete tasks faster.

One of the key feature of the Apps is to be able to access it even without internet connection. This feature has definitely given us an edge over other players and have also helped us to get lot of positive feedback from clients.

Digimaker were seeking to build a bespoke online code editor. The online portal needed to have the following features:

1. Access control: Users to be able to login to the portal using their uname/passwd. Once logged in user may choose the language they want to code or are presented with the appropriate editor.
2. Languages: user should be able to code in the following languages: a. Scratch b. Small basic c. Python & PyGame d. HTML/JavaScript e. C/C++ f. Java (Swing)
3. Load: Initially 1000 users to access the portal with 500 concurrent users at any given time.
4. Result: Code on left of the screen and result on the right.
5. Compile: Portal to be able to run snippets of code in each of the languages.
6. File: Users to be able to save files (in the appropriate format) and access files using their credentials.
7. Branding: portal to have Digimaker branding (white labelling) and accessible through Digimaker domain.
8. Database: admin should easily manipulate uname/passwd and files; system should be scalable.

A very committed and hardworking team BitKraft has. They were able to resolve show stopper issues quickly and efficiently. With their domain expertise some of the show stoppers after launch should have been prevented.

We communicated through whatsapp, phone calls and emails. Communication was free flowing and we had access to their entire team.

The team was technically sound, and the quick turnaround times to resolve issues were impressive.

While the quality of work was great, effort estimation was off target.

We are successfully rolling the app out across our regions. We are going to retain the firm on a monthly basis to manage the app, fix bugs, and develop new features on an ongoing basis.

Ali and his team are able to give clear answers on what is and what is not possible based on their experience. Ali is very capable. I believe this company offers a lot of value. They price their projects fairly and are easy to communicate with.

Timelines for deliverables can be more accurate and more quality assurance can be done before presenting to clients.

The project was delivered in sprints where in the design finalization , user login , dashboard , tasklist and detail sections were all delivered in a logical sequence to release the 1st MVP in July 2021

Bitkraft adopted an agile development methodology . Microsoft team was used as the project collaboration platform . Daily standup meetings were held and open issue register was maintained right from the Solution review , Testing , go-live , stabilization until the closure phase.

Their confident and positive attitude was their USP. Partnership with the key product vendor got strained at the start of the project . The Bitkraft management team took up the challenge and responsibility and ensured that their development learn understand the API structure of the clients BPM solution and overcome this gap . This saved the client cost and time in getting a new partner on board.
