What challenge were you trying to address with BetterMarca?

We needed help with a complete rebranding as we transitioned to a new brand identity. We wanted a website with a more professional look and clearer messaging, as we made all the changes to the site over the last few years, even though it's not our area of expertise.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BetterMarca helped us rebrand our company. The team was tasked with redesigning our entire website and worked on how information was presented. The team was also responsible for making decisions on UX factors to enhance the customer experience when browsing.

We provided the information we wanted on the website, which was mostly from the old website. We also gave them the images and videos we had so they could build it, and they had access to insights from a previous marketing research questionnaire conducted with many of our past clients.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three people: Dulce, who is the head of the company, Alejandra, the account manager, and another woman.

How did you come to work with BetterMarca?

I worked with them a few years ago, so I contacted them again. I chose them because I liked their aesthetic and agreed with their vision for the website’s look. I had considered other designers and received proposals from them, but they didn’t quite fit. BetterMarca offered exactly what I wanted.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $9,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August–September 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

BetterMarca exceeded our expectations. They achieved what I wanted and demonstrated a strong understanding of our brand and target audience. I was really hesitant to work with agencies because I always felt like they never understood what I was doing or what I wanted. With BetterMarca, they got it, and it was perfect. I was always happy with what they proposed and never had to intervene.

How did BetterMarca perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered the work on time and within budget. We mostly communicated via Zoom, email, WhatsApp, and phone calls.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I want to give a shout-out to Dulce. She was the head of the project, and even though the project is complete, she’s still on top of our account. She was always on point and helpful whenever we had questions about why things were the way they were or when we couldn’t find information. We are no longer paying them, and she still helps us navigate the challenges we face.

What did you find most impressive about them?

BetterMarca's level of productivity was great. They always suggested additional things to do to improve the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’d encourage them to get a team dedicated to marketing strategy and SEO. It would be beneficial for them to have someone doing that so they could keep working with the clients. After doing the design work, we had to find somebody else to work on the website. I’d trust them if they had a person dedicated to this type of activity.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise potential clients to have clarity on what they’re looking for and ensure all the content they need is prepared before starting the project. We had some delays on our side in providing the content, which slowed down the process. So, it’s important for clients to have everything ready so the agency can do their job as effectively as possible.

We hired BetterMarca to help us develop and enhance our outdoor clothing brand. After the COVID-19 pandemic, people started doing outdoor activities a lot more. We felt that was a chance to push the brand to another level.

BetterMarca has worked on the full rebranding of our store logo design, fabric selection, mission and vision statements, color palette, and font selection.

BetterMarca was well-known in Panama. We did some research by ourselves and heard the best comments about them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $18,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with BetterMarca in December 2020, and it’s an ongoing collaboration.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The deliverables are for a new collection we only recently introduced into our stores, and they’re well-received by our clients. Our sales have been good. 

How did BetterMarca perform from a project management standpoint?

BetterMarca’s project management has been great. They’ve been flexible with the changes we’ve made during the project. To communicate, we use phone calls and in-person meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their availability and flexibility are impressive. They’re always ahead of the curve in terms of trends, offering us many options. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be cheaper. Nonetheless, we’ve had a great experience with them.

Be clear about your goals and what you want to communicate. The clearer your goals are, the better results they’ll provide.

BetterMarca was in charge of creating our studio’s corporate image.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided BetterMarca with all the information related to our company and visual content such as photographs. Based on these things, they created our website from scratch. They did everything from logo design to color selection and web design, handling everything related to our branding.

I communicated directly with two people.

We spent about $6,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from January–March 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Around four people reached out to us through our website every month — this was a good indicator that the site worked well and was user-friendly. We also received numerous positive comments and were happy about the results.

How did BetterMarca perform from a project management standpoint?

I worked directly with a project manager, and our communication was always fluid. They were professional, and I liked how they presented themselves while managing the project. We communicated mostly via phone calls and emails. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked their visual communication skills. They were great at capturing the message we wanted to communicate, translating it well into graphic designs. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there weren’t any. Their project management and the project they delivered were great, so we were truly satisfied with their work.

We needed help with brand development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BetterMarca created a new brand book from scratch. They helped us develop our baby and children's products brand, which included market research, logo design, typography, color palette, and more.

When we first approached them, we had a couple of meetings to define what we were looking for. They made several questions and proposals, which led to the brand book presentation.

What was the team composition?

We worked directly with a project manager, but three other people were also involved.

They were a referral.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on this project in July 2021, and it lasted about a month.

We’ve increased our sales point and brand work since we relaunched the brand. Also, we’ve seen greater acceptance from our clients. Another success metric was that the whole region wanted to replicate our brand. All in all, the project was excellent.
