BeHappy designed and developed a website from scratch based on the requirements and goals we provided. They also created some additional branding elements as needed.

Both of our companies were delegates at an expo in Japan, and we bonded at that event.

We've spent about €6,000 ($7,000 USD).

We've worked with them on different projects, but this project started around September 2018 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

BeHappy created an aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly website with new and exciting features. It's already performing better than our previous site and receiving positive feedback.

How did BeHappy perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication is great. They work in a very structured, transparent, and professional manner, using the latest project management tools to keep tasks organized.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I had been struggling with pitching the company before working with BeHappy, but because their team listens and takes the time to learn about their clients, they were able to create a product that helps me more effectively communicate our business to the public.

No. Everything's been great thus far.

We started working with them in 2018, but I don't remember the exact date. They’ve already finished the project, but we continue to consult them as needed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work was excellent, and the final results were quite positive. We needed an interactive and clear website, and BeHappy got it right.

How did BeHappy perform from a project management standpoint?

They used Trello for project management, and they met all of our deadlines. We were happy with their communication and availability throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

BeHappy was creative and gave us innovative ideas for the site. They managed to make our front page on 3D; we didn’t even know we could do that.

I am in charge of technology at Vicman3, a national distributor of hygiene and cleansing products.

What challenge were you trying to address with BeHappy?

In general, all of our direct competitors were investing in new technologies to capture new clients and manage them too. We were trying not to be left behind if possible and also improve internal processes.

We were not sure on how to move forward and after a “Discovery” phase with BeHappy, they recommended us to invest in e-commerce on one hand and also include a cloud-based management tool internally to manage relations with our providers and clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

This was our first online project. We wanted to create an offline as well as an online or digital transformation process of a family business with two decades of experience. BeHappy tried to facilitate this process making understand that we needed to create a digital strategy to support the company as a whole.

What is the team dynamic?

We always had an assigned project manager that we communicated with. He was our point-of-contact with BeHappy. When they started to design our logo and corporate branding we were also working with Carlos, their Art Director that did an amazing job once the business plan had been analyzed together with our current situation and objectives.

How did you come to work with BeHappy?

They were awarded with “Best company with a recent creation” in 2016. We went to the event and we exchanged our business cards and did some networking afterwards. Whe we decided to start our online business we got in touch with them to tell them about our offer and we enjoyed their understanding of our business needs and the clear way they could present this. We had two other interesting options but we decided to go with BeHappy because they give off lots of trust and confidence.

We’ve invested in the range of $10-50K in this collaboration with BeHappy.

What is the status of this engagement?

It has been completed. But we continue working on maintenance and improvements.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Internally, we have saved lots of time that was wasted preparing reports, meetings that were not productive sometimes, and now from our mobile apps we could see everything at all times.

Now clients can make orders at any time and we are able to send them the status of the order in real time. This was all previously done by phone and the timelines and capacity were much more limited. I notice that people happier and clients appreciate the ability to interact with us at any time.

How did BeHappy perform from a project management standpoint?

Our meetings were through Skype or in person. They used Trello to inform our progress, Dropbox for materials and archives, RealTimeBoard to share ideas and Invision for design.

What did you find most impressive about BeHappy?

They were able to adapt to our needs very well. They don’t make you buy everything but they guide you through what you what is really valuable to your company after analyzing your case. I was impressed with how before and after the Discovery phase, the idea of the project changed radically and I wouldn’t have been able to do that alone.

Are there any areas BeHappy could improve?

The process was pleasant overall. There are always areas for improvement but in general the whole process was good.

Any recommendations for future clients of BeHappy?

I’ve heard other clients were having difficulties understanding the initial Discovery sprint. I would recommend this step. This is where ideas really take form and you can define the strategy to do the rest of the project.

Grupo WDI is a marketing agency with a focus in trade marketing. We provide comprehensive services focused on points of sale and we work for multinationals in the sector. I’m the co-CEO.

What challenge were you trying to address with BeHappy?

They helped us re-orient or redesign our own website. We realized the previous site was very creative and conceptual site but it wasn’t helping us reach our set objective, which was to capture. We realized users and prospective leads left our site because they found too much information that wasn’t well structured. The focus was not sufficiently clear or “professional” that the sector was probably expecting from us. BeHappy helped us with the consulting, strategy and design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I believe they’ve assigned around 4-5 resources. We worked with Javier, one of their project managers and used Trello for communications, but we’re not aware of who was behind these communications.

We have invested around $5,000.

What is the status of the engagement?

We started working with them in May and it is an ongoing collaboration.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

The project has been recently installed and we don't have any metrics available to share at this point, but we are sure that the results will be incredible.

How did BeHappy perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was very well structured and organized. It was very professional and it was easy for us. We used Trello and Skype mainly.

What did you find most impressive about BeHappy?

The way they guided us to gather the information we needed in order to define the strategy. They asked us to do questionnaires with our own clients to learn their opinion and what they appreciated or valued the most about our services to be able to feature the most relevant information on our web page. Also, Javier’s vision, focus on the sector and clarity on the approach to this project stood out.

Are there any areas BeHappy could improve?

Not necessarily an area for improvement for a habit that could be improved. They are very familiarized with Trello and I’ve been the communications person with this tool. It has been challenging at times as a new user to use this tool day to day, exclusively.

We are currently working on a new product, and we selected BeHappy to help us with service design and UX testing. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BeHappy designed a service blueprint and a complete UX process. We had contact with 2 people from their team over a 3- to 4-week period. We used a real-time board and other online tools.

Our product—an online platform related to voice synthesis that allows users to upload content—is internal and still in the R&D phase. I can’t disclose more information at this time.

They contacted us several months ago. At that time, we didn’t require their services, but, when we started this project, we reached out to their team.

The cost of their work was around €5,000 [$5,700].

We started working with BeHappy in May 2017.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

The main outcome was learning about new methodologies for service design. Our company specializes in audio software, so we have technical rather than visual expertise. BeHappy’s UX methodologies were valuable for us. They met all planned objectives related to the service design, deliverables, and schedule.

How did BeHappy perform from a project management standpoint?

They strictly followed our guidelines for deliverables and deadlines, and I was pleased with their scheduling. We used Trello for project management. Our company uses a different tool internally. We had no major problems.

What did you find most impressive about BeHappy?

I wasn’t used to working and paying on a weekly basis. BeHappy defined a work plan with goals for each week, and we paid accordingly. It seemed strange to pay before seeing any results, based on my experience with software development.

Are there any areas BeHappy could improve?

The cost scaled according to the duration, which has forced us to limit the collaboration to a certain number of weeks and to dedicate more time to attending to BeHappy’s team. This affected our daily work internally. Otherwise, the goals were met according to our work plan.

I am the CEO of Epimedica, a startup based in Silicon Valley, San Francisco. We have a plastic surgeon directory that shows all treatments available in the aesthetic medicine market. The directory shows doctors and dermatologists, along with the treatments they provide. This creates a community of doctors and patients. Users may share experiences and information about the doctors and their treatments.

What challenge were you trying to address with BeHappy?

BeHappyCo is developing the web platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Four developers were involved and they have done a complete job. They played the role of CTOs. BeHappyCo developed all of the back-office coding, and they also designed and coded the frontend. They have looked for solutions to the problems that existed, such as figuring a way to integrate software of other companies with advanced search tools, etc. The developers solved problems that required difficult technical solutions.

How did you come to work with BeHappy?

They were recommended to us when the company was founded. We did a small job with them. It was very simple and easy, and it was completed in the time and form that was desired. Now, we continue doing bigger projects with BeHappyCo.

How much have you invested in BeHappy?

We paid between $70,000 and $100,000 for their services.

What is the status of the engagement?

We continued working with them, although not as much as in the starting period. They had a more intense participation back then.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

All results were satisfactory, and we are happy with how things have turned out. Sometimes, when we asked for certain functionalities, they revised them and we ended up doing the complete opposite. They adapt very well to the changes in strategy and direction.

How did BeHappy perform from a project management standpoint?

We always worked mainly with Trello. Both companies tried to be organized in terms of project management. We make a lot of orders, although small, and processes need to be followed. This was the only external tool we’ve used. They have one point person, who is very good. That also helps avoid adding more people to the project.

What did you find most impressive about BeHappy?

There were a couple of interesting things. First, they provide a complete service because they work from the frontend as well as the backend perspective. They dominate various coding languages, but at the same time, they can do design work, which makes them important. There are some cases at the end that you have to hire experts and then they need to be in sync between them. In those cases, we only need one interpreter to coordinates everything.

The second interesting characteristic is that they never lose the project’s vision. They always have a complete vision and when coding orders are made, they act as a filter. They let us know if there could be problems if they made another functionality, and they explain things clearly. They have a complete vision, to the point that they know about it more than we do.

Are there any areas BeHappy could improve?

Generally, they’re very good. There are things that can be improved like anyone else, but not that many.

What challenge were you trying to address with BeHappy?

It's been a group of projects oriented towards the digital transformation of the company. The project has included a fee management platform, a corporate web CMS [content management system], an asset management tool, and a project management tool.

The objective was to be more effective and take advantage of this digitalization.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I contacted them through recommendations. I'm not completely sure but I think that there have been up to 10 developers assigned to the project. They used PHP and MySQL.

How did you come to work with BeHappy?

They made a proposal and a plan to improve phases. We decided to start with something simple. After that, we started touching other ambitious topics.

I believe we have invested $160,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

It has been completed but we will surely begin a new phase this year.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We have basically saved lots of time in our processes. For example, we previously lost a lot in terms of documentation or managing fees. Now, it's almost all done automatically. It also allows us to generate reports, which are useful to know the status of the company and the projects. Clients are contacting us less because they have everything on the web and they are happy in general.

How did BeHappy perform from a project management standpoint?

They use Trello a lot to manage all of the projects. They also use Dropbox and Skype. Their designs are presented with InVision. For accounting topics, they have an automatic tool they developed.

What did you find most impressive about BeHappy?

They make it easy for me. I am not good trying to explain myself but they guide me and make suggestions all the time. They are not limited to doing what I tell them to do. They synthesize everything and they manage to move forward. The truth is that there have been very few problems.

They should travel more. It's good to meet in person.

What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with BeHappy?

If you want an organized project and not have to worry about it, they are highly recommended.
