We got our work done without any issues. Neither did I come across any pain points.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a co-founder of Rangloom Indiecraft. The operational part of the company was started some time ago, but the product launch was on October 15th, 2021. We manufacture women’s utility products, and we’re currently focusing on bags. We have different kinds of totes, and we’re expanding into making pouches, folders, and other creative products. We focus on unique artworks.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bee Logical Software Solutions?

They developed our website, as we were totally new to the field.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bee Logical built our e-commerce website from scratch, taking care of the template, the domain, and everything else. We had an initial discussion with their owner, and he dropped us an email with everything that would be included in the scope. A few things were out of our budget, so we took them out — it was a collaborative process from the start.

I’m not sure what technologies were used, but they gave us a few guidelines for the payment gateway, and we purchased a theme from WordPress after discussing which theme would look best.

Bee Logical’s principal communicated not only with us, but also with our photography team. He provided guidance on how the photos should look and what the resolutions should be for the landing page and the e-shop. We uploaded our own content through an admin panel, and the owner gave us a quick training on how to update our stock and other information.

Their team offered marketing and strategy, but being a new company, we wanted to see what the response would be in the first six months before committing. We’ll ask the owner if they have any good ideas about social media management and marketing.

I was directly coordinating with Abhay (Co-Founder) and a business analyst during the development.

How did you come to work with Bee Logical Software Solutions?

We found them through word of mouth. A few of our friends knew their owner, and his office was nearby, so we went there once or twice.

How much have you invested with them?

We told them that we were a startup, and they gave us pretty competitive rates. As I remember, they charged us 25,000–30,000 Indian rupees (approximately $300–$400 USD) for the whole website development. Hosting wasn’t included.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our initial conversation was in June 2021, and it took us 3–4 months to give them everything they needed and onboard the team. There were also some delays on our end, but the website was ready and furnished in two–months’ time.

The official start was in September 2021, and the website was live on October 15th of that year. We’re still in touch with them for support.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of work was amazing, and they were reachable at any time of day. The way in which they explained how everything worked in terms of the domain was really helpful, as we didn’t have any knowledge of the website development world.

We included the link to our website on our Instagram, which we created ourselves soon before the launch, and it gave buyers more confidence in our brand.

How did Bee Logical Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We wanted the website launched on the 15th of October because it’s an auspicious day in India, and Bee Logical really worked hard to deliver. There were some delays on our side in giving approvals, but they were able to do it by that particular day.

Bee Logical were very quick with their responses, getting back to us in less than 24 hours. There were no delays or communication gaps on Bee Logical’s side.

We communicated over the phone, and they gave us summaries of the important calls over email, listing the tasks discussed and when they’d be completed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I could call Abhay at any time, and he gave us proper training on how the website needed to be updated, as well as how our SKUs needed to be monitored.

Being a fashion brand, we keep coming up with new products and have to upload new ones every week or so. We didn’t know how to do that, so Bee Logical had a training call with us over Zoom.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Personally, I don’t feel that there’s anything to improve. Most of our conversations were over the phone, and that wasn’t a problem, maybe because we had a mutual communication. Details can be miscommunicated over phone calls, though, so it’s best to have email too.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Ask about the budget directly. The quote will sometimes be for the website only, with the hosting and domain charges separate. That could be problematic, as hosting can be expensive in India.

In addition, we bought an email domain. We didn't know this initially and bought it from the website. Had we bought it from a specific provider, it would’ve been cheaper for us. That communication was delayed from our side. We didn’t ask, and they didn’t tell us right away. Bee Logical helped us find an email provider, but not right away. They did mention it in the quotation, but it didn’t click with us.

I am CEO of Bluforce Search Private Limited. We are an app based job portal for Blue collar employees and Employers. We have @ 85000 registered blue collar workers on our mobile app and 100 plus employers from India and Overseas as our registered clients.

Our mobile app for workers was launched in May 2018 and has been updated several times over last three years. The Employers login is web based and was made live in 2020 and since then we have been successful in getting 100 plus employers as client users.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal was to have good engagement of Employees as user candidates and as of now we have daily 14000 users who use the app daily basis. Also we had a goal of having good client feedback about the web based employment portal.

Bee-logical was shortlisted by us based on their techno-commercial offer and critical evaluation and comparison with three other vendors.

Bee-logical has been our development partner since inception. Initially they were given task of app development which they did very well. That was followed by Web portal development and integration of the same on AWS. They have been successful in release of more than 10 updated versions of our mobile app and other updations required to meet changing policies of Android.

What was the team composition?

Abhay has been our single point of contact so for as software development is concerned. He is supported by his team of UI designers, System Architects and Quality assurance team who have done a good job for us.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within last three years we have been successful in registration of 85000 plus candidates on our mobile app as candidates and 100 plus client users as Employers from India and Abroad. Our company is boot strapped as of now but we have been generating good interest from investors and may go for initial round of investments soon.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent. Initially, there were some issues but over the period Abhay and his team were able to meet the Business requirements effectively and they worked more like an extension of our own organization.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Abhay himself is a technocrat and hands on programmer and developer. They have a good understanding of mobile app and web development and the business side as well. this confluence of skills is hard to find in a vendor.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Initially they were lacking Quality Control for the new app versions and there were some hiccups, however that area was well covered during later app versions and we are fully satisfied with their services.

I’m the CEO of a virtual audition and artist curation platform for the Indian film industry. We’re targeting Bollywood at the moment, but we plan to target Hollywood as well.

The pandemic has made it hard for people to work in person, which is why we created a virtual audition and talent-hiring platform. We were looking for a development partner that could convert our prototype into a working app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bee Logical Software Solutions is developing our platform. They’re developing one iOS and one Android app, as well as a web-based management system. We gave them the design prototype in Figma to jumpstart the project.

In this platform, performers can search for available jobs in their area, and they can record virtual auditions. We verify the artists internally and give them ratings for their video auditions. Then, recruiters can look for available talent for their projects.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 6–8 people from Bee Logical, including their CEO.

How did you come to work with Bee Logical Software Solutions?

I found a few companies online and contacted them. Bee Logical had very good pricing for a startup. They were also one of the companies with a better reputation on the market, so we got in touch with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent 1 million Indian rupees (approximately $14,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Bee Logical in February 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Virtual auditions are still a novelty in India. However, we have around 100,000 artists registered on the platform so far. We’re not generating money yet. We have a freemium model where we intend for users to upgrade their service packages.

How did Bee Logical Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication with Bee Logical is absolutely brilliant. We were able to get the product out in less than a year despite the numerous changes we made on our side. There isn’t a project manager on their end, but it hasn’t been necessary.

We tried using spreadsheets in the beginning, but we moved on to Zoho for project management. We use email for invoicing, and most of the communication happens over chat. We have occasional phone calls and 2–3 video conferences per month.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As a startup, we do a lot of experimenting, so it’s essential for our partners to be accommodating to making changes. I’m amazed by how fast Bee Logical is at responding to new demands. Their CEO is really collaborative, and they have the right attitude for the startup world.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Bee Logical should get a better understanding of global design standards. Their designs are decent, but nudging them up slightly would make things even better.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

It’s okay to just go to them with an idea, but it’s better to put down the vision and user journey on paper. If the client does that, Bee Logical will be supercharged to contribute faster.
