Improve customer experience, automate shipping labels, reduce bottlenecks, track orders, decrease processing time.

All items were delivered on time, as well as incredibly quickly for any bug fixes that were necessary. Most bug were fixed within 30 minutes, if not sooner. Once we started going outside the original scope of work, Jeff very professionally communicated that we would need to incorporate a Phase 2 for an additional fee. After seeing the work they completed, I was very satisfied with what I received for the extra cost.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Jeff, Bryan, Michael, and Nicholas at Baytech have been nothing short of phenomenal. They are incredible communicators and visionaries. When I was looking for a company to develop SellYourBoards.com, I searched for a quote from seven different companies. Jeff at Baytech was the ONLY person that came up with a rough prototype before we even had our first call. It showed his preparedness and willingness to work on our project. Don't be afraid to pay for quality with these guys. If you have the funds, they are 100% worth it. I've worked with cheap development agencies before, and the difference in the quality of work is night and day. Highly recommended.

I’m the president of Petra Medical College. We offer online training for a variety of entry-level medical field professions, including certified nursing assistants, medical assistants, and technicians.

What challenge were you trying to address with Baytech Consulting?

We needed a web application that allowed us to build out entire online courses from the backend. Including content blocks like lecture videos, notes, flash cards, and exams–all customizable for each course. The backend then needed to populate that content over on the student portal, so our students could access the course content with ease and convenience.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Baytech Consulting designed and developed a web application from scratch with several platforms. We had previously worked with a different company that designed part of the app and gave those designs to Baytech Consulting. 

Baytech Consulting completed the missing designs following our brand guidelines and identity, which were previously created by another professional. Baytech Consulting was also responsible for converting the Figma designs into HTML format and writing the necessary code. 

After the design phase, Baytech Consulting created the original code and backend. Our app required the creation of different account types and portals. Baytech Consulting integrated all the functionalities we asked for, our students could register for courses, pay for classes, jump into our learning management system, and upon finishing, download their certificate degrees. Baytech also coded our "partner portal," allowing high school administrators to create special accounts where they can add students, assign them to groups, manage their learning progress, and set them up with an allied health certification upon their graduation, ensuring that their students can enter the workforce right out of high school.

Baytech Consulting also integrated an SEO function and assisted us with web hosting. In web hosting is common to use subscription plans, but Baytech Consulting used another tool that allowed them to diversify the app’s backend to be more flexible since the backend can be stored and interact in different ways.

We worked with local companies before working with Baytech Consulting but didn’t have a good experience. We had worked with another company before that took advantage of us because they billed us for the design and development of the app, but they only delivered the design without the coding.

After these bad experiences, I searched online for development companies in California. I screened some companies and requested a meeting with Baytech Consulting. Jeff handled that meeting, and after two weeks, he sent us a budget estimate for the project. We liked Baytech Consulting’s proposal and decided to go with them.

We invested $350,000 with Baytech Consulting.

We worked together from October 2022–March 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Baytech Consulting developed a functional web app and met our requirements. The app is better than we had imagined and works flawlessly. During the bug testing phase, Baytech Consulting was quick to catch and resolve issues. We sent them a list of bugs to fix, and Baytech Consulting had already corrected them — they were ahead of us all the time.

Moreover, Baytech Consulting’s personable treatment was excellent. They were professional, explained every step of the process, and went out of their way to help us. Baytech Consulting even sent us a gift basket for Christmas — they really took care of us. 

How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

Baytech Consulting worked fast and stayed on budget. They never missed a deadline and delivered work ahead of time. Baytech Consulting worked under 2–4 week sprints and gave us an update each time they completed a sprint. They also gave us a report on the hours it took to complete that sprint, walked us through it, and tested the work in front of us to show the functionality. Baytech Consulting also gave us access to test the app and try it ourselves all throughout the development process.

Our communication with Baytech Consulting was excellent. They never rescheduled a meeting, and we could join their daily Zoom calls if we wanted to. Baytech Consulting also created a Microsoft Teams account to communicate with us, and we could send an email or call them as needed. When we asked Baytech Consulting something, they responded right away. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed with Baytech Consulting’s integrity. They delivered what they promised and were respectful of our time. We had previously worked with three development companies and had a completely different experience — it was night and day. 

Unfortunately, I realized that integrity was hard to find. Other vendors extended the schedule to get more money, and Baytech Consulting never did that. On each sprint, Baytech Consulting proved to be a reliable company. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for Baytech Consulting to improve — they were honestly perfect.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I absolutely recommend working with Baytech Consulting because you’ll get what you paid for, and their prices are fair. If you’re unfamiliar with development projects, Baytech Consulting will work with you and walk you through the process. Just talk to them, and Baytech Consulting will explain everything. They’re good people, and you won’t regret working with them.

I’m the VP of an environmental services contractor. We manage projects that require remediation efforts. Specifically, we handle hazardous or contaminated cleanup efforts. When a client comes to us with an environmental concern, they bring data to us and we analyze it. Our team then tells them the most cost-effective way to remediate the situation.

We can provide transportation and disposal services, along with heavy equipment and operators to execute the job. Overall, we help get rid of environmental concerns and guide our customers along the process.

Our business has a level of complexity where we need to capture plenty of data and information, such as who’s responsible for the waste and how many pieces of equipment we’ve sent to fix it. We need to capture everything in one spot using an all-in-one project management, accounting, and invoicing system. That’s what Baytech has worked on for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially had a couple of face-to-face meetings with Baytech, where we explained our business and needs — they interviewed us, so to speak. Then, they started developing the system. 

At present, we still work with them and their developers. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with Brian and Jeff (Business Partners) for the onboarding process. Depending on their availability, we can work directly with them or their software developers. If we have questions, we can set up a call with Jeff, and he then adds appropriate people from his team to tackle issues or questions. From there, we work with developers that have the appropriate skillsets to work on the project.

I hired Baytech specifically because of their punctuality, response times, and professionalism. To find them, I checked local Yelp reviews and reached out to a few companies within the local market. Baytech was the quickest to respond. Moreover, the team members had cohesive personalities and relationships.

We officially kicked off the project in July 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

Baytech has been extremely consistent in the excellence of their service. Jeff lives and breathes the business, and that trickles down to their employees. He’s also never lost sight of that — the service we’ve received during the onboarding process is the same top-tier service we receive now. 

How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, Baytech keeps us organized. We do around 600 jobs per year, and the program that Baytech has created allows us to keep everything streamlined. We can get all of our job-related information from it — everything is in one place, and it’s a one-stop-shop. Without this system, we’d be using Excel spreadsheets to keep track of all information. 

Moreover, Baytech is straightforward about their availability. Whatever they tell us they’ll do, they follow through. The team tells us when a task is easy and when it’s good to go. In other words, they’re always honest about timelines, and they deliver what they say they’ll deliver.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Baytech’s ability to make the system come to life and make it easy to understand is impressive. The team has created a program from absolutely nothing to something that’s user-friendly and speaks our proprietary environmental service language. They’ve brought our program to life, and that’s truly incredible.

No, there aren’t any. My business partner and I are incredibly happy with Baytech.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Think about what you want and properly articulate what you’re trying to build. On top of that, enjoy the engagement — Baytech is going to do a good job. As long as you come prepared and you’re willing to explain the project to them, they’re going to deliver a perfect product to you.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’m satisfied with the quality of their work. Baytech Consulting is incredibly communicative. I haven’t really been able to put what they’ve built to use yet or tested it, but that’s not really on them. They got the major components done in a couple of months, but on my side, the timeline was pretty loose.

I enjoy working with Patrick quite a bit. He’s easy to work with and always checks in with weekly calls and updates. Their whole team is transparent. As a small company, it was normal for us to be nervous about making a big investment, but it’s been a great experience. I had wanted to try a professional development team, and they’ve consistently delivered quality products.

How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

Right off the bat, Baytech Consulting introduced me to all their internal tools. They have morning meetings to update the team on the flow of projects. I wasn’t interested in joining their daily meetings, so we moved to a weekly Friday meeting to update me on the week’s progress and let me ask any questions I had. We primarily communicated through Slack because it was my preferred method. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Baytech Consulting is significantly more focused than anyone else I’ve worked with. Their whole team is on the same page and has the same laser-focus. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

While I’ve enjoyed our collaboration so far and they’re pretty quick with estimates, it would be nice to get those estimates more regularly. I’d like more routine bills that outline the hours they’ve worked and what they’ve completed. They always do give me a breakdown on the bills, I would just like to get it on a more frequent basis.

We're a small shop, so we wanted to have a software that would help us handle our workflow faster. We needed a vendor to help us  develop such a software.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Baytech developed a database system that can help us process demographic and income data related to our tenants. It's a web-based proprietary program that we can use to track all of the existing locations that our client has throughout North America. There are thousands of data points that are entered into the system by way of paycheck, and Baytech was able to compile a simple one-page summary targeting specific demographic data and variables that we're interested in. All the information is in front of us on a screen with the reports that are easy to read. They continue to help us with minor tweaks and edits when we need them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have three employees in our office, and with the new system, we can handle the workflow that would normally take dozens of people to manage. The return on the financial investment that we've made is more than tenfold. It's a proprietary software and has more capabilities than some of the newer commercial systems. We have all the data points that we deal with (on a competitive and site-by-site basis) readily available, while our client has the ability to pinpoint what exactly they want to see in one-page reports.

They're able to delegate and manage the tasks very well internally. If we have an issue or a new task for them, we simply reach out to our account manager and he's always prompt with his responses.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They respond immediately and do high-quality work. We have a very good relationship. Usually, there are many variables when you're dealing with IT companies, but Baytech always adheres to their estimates and timelines.

No. I only have positive things to say about Baytech.

Have a clear project outline and a timeline. Also, make sure you have the budget. Baytech is very upfront about their capabilities and provides a personalized level of service. I'd definitely recommend them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Baytech Consulting created an iPad application that can also be accessed on a computer. The iPad solution is a mobile version of the main application used at our service centers. So far, the platform has launched in Texas. As the solution continues to roll out, the team will begin phase two: designing workflows and work queues.

Currently, the team’s primary function is technical development, and we work with seven developers. However, initially, Baytech Consulting was hired to do design, development, and project management. Due to internal changes and a widening scope, we’ve shifted the design and project management internally.

In Texas, our users have adopted the solution faster than we thought they would. This is partly because complex issues are resolved immediately by Baytech Consulting. We solicit feedback daily and if a complicated issue arises, Baytech almost always knows how to solve the problem. In particular, Jeff (Partner, Baytech Consulting) has gone above and beyond. He is always available and intuitively identifies user issues.

Recently, our new CIO requested to shift project management to internal stakeholders. However, before that switch, their project management was excellent. They were responsive, clear communicators and they satisfied our needs exceptionally well.

They are a flexible, open-minded team. If we ask them questions about an issue, they aren’t defensive. They remain calm, listen, and then propose solutions. This approach makes the process less stressful.

The time zone difference between the west and east coast has been a challenge. However, this isn’t a criticism as they were always open to meeting on our schedule.

We wanted to develop a new CRM system to improve our lead management experience.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Baytech Consulting took the CRM system that they built for the mortgage division of one of the companies we support and modified the platform for consumer lending. The code was written in .NET, and the database was MS SQL Server. Their team also integrated with phone systems while maintaining detailed tracking info, making it possible to trace the source of our leads in real time and support unlimited reporting options. Since completing the initial project, they have developed other enterprise tools for our company. More recently, they adapted the system to work as a multi-tenant platform for two of the companies we support.

What is the team composition?

We worked closely with two of their partners on the initial project and for the first couple of years.  And then ongoing projects and support have been handled by a third dedicated developer.

They had recently built a lead management system for our mortgage division, so we knew what they were capable of.

To date, we have spent close to $4 million on their services. Their licensing fee costs us $15,000 each month, and the monthly consulting support bill usually totaled in around $30,000.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Outsourcing the project to Baytech Consulting turned out to be the best decision. The new CRM system has improved our workflow dramatically and streamlined the lead management process.

How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

Our workflow was a bit unstructured, but Baytech Consulting quickly adapted to our unconventional environment and met deadlines with ease. We gave them an office within our space, so we were able to meet often. They had a Slack channel for us to use, but we mostly communicated via phone and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I have worked with many developers over the years, and the team at Baytech Consulting is among the most talented I have ever worked with. It was a unique experience because they went beyond the surface level to understand our needs. Most of the developers that we engaged in the past aimed to complete the task as fast as possible and move on, but Baytech Consulting was committed to finding a viable solution to our business problem with the ongoing support we needed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was a brief period when a different developer took over ongoing support from the initial team, and the level of quality and support wasn't as good. But they addressed this with a new team member who has been providing excellent support for several years now. So the area for improvement has already been taken care of at this point.

A simple misunderstanding could cause a project to go in the wrong direction, so it’s important to have clearly defined requirements from the beginning.

What challenge were you trying to address with Baytech Consulting?

We needed a better CRM system that allowed us to route leads to our call center of 30–50 agents based on different criteria. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Baytech built a custom CRM platform, incorporating a routing system that essentially routes calls as they come into individual agents based on certain criteria like state licensing and lead pipe source. Previously, the system was only capable of routing calls based on whether the agent clicked on the lead or whether it was randomly assigned. The new system builds on those two options with an additional 4–5 customizations, including one that allows agents to reengage “dead” leads.

We mostly worked with the two partners of Baytech, Jeff and Bryan, who were very hands-on in terms of day-to-day communications. 

How did you come to work with Baytech Consulting?

We came across some of the other CRMs they'd built for other clients and reached out to them based on that. They had a better vision of what we needed compared to other firms we'd worked with in the past.

We initially invested about $15,000–which included planning, formatting the technology, and working with our IT staff to develop a solution–and $10,000–$25,000 per month after.

The customizations that Baytech built into our CRM have had a significantly positive impact on the company. For example, now that our agents are able to grab “dead” leads, we've accessed an additional $3 million in revenue. 

How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

They're not only experts in providing technology solutions for companies but are also very familiar with the mortgage industry. Other members of their team took the time to learn about our industry and whiteboard some ideas as needed. We mostly communicated through email, phone, Slack, or the built-in chat feature they have that allowed us to reach them easily at any time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They built an industry-leading CRM and lead management tool that's custom-designed to support the needs of the consumer lending and mortgage industry. During the project, I was most impressed with their ability to effectively track and direct agent activities. They also have a strong desire to track and compare the ROI from various lead sources.

I think any vendor in the tech industry can benefit by focusing more on the customer service aspect of their business, maintaining strong relationships beyond the scope of a project. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Prime quickly became a competitive advantage, providing accurate and actionable insights to agents and the company. By directing agents to perform the most impactful activities, the use of Prime provided measurable gains in both sales and efficacy. The result was a reliable mortgage call center CRM that ensured success for the company and its agents.

We were looking to implement processes and technology to make our day-to-day operations more efficient.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Baytech Consulting is helping us optimize some workflows by helping automate some of what we do. We do network monitoring, and they’re putting in place automation to create tickets, self-heal some networks, and check against false positives. They work with different technologies hosted on AWS such as Docker, .NET, and Rancher. 

What is the team composition?

Bryan (partner, Baytech Consulting) is the lead architect and our primary contact. We also work with an assigned project manager and a number of software engineers.

How did you come to work with Baytech Consulting? 

They actually first hired us to install infrastructure and host VMware servers. That's how we met. As we were talking, they mentioned there were numerous things that they could do for us. We then brought them on to help our clients and we liked what we saw.

I think we’re billing $15,000 a month, on average.

They started implementing projects around July 2018, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Baytech Consulting helps us come up with new ideas around automation. A lot of what we do is tracking alerts, like computers going offline or networks going down. They aggregate a lot of those alerts and then determine whether or not they're still happening before our tickets get created. It's significantly reduced the noise. Now we're only looking at the critical alerts versus all the all the system-driven alerts. That's been a huge time saver for us as well. 

How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint? 

Bryan and I have a good relationship where we can talk about things at a high level. The project manager is very thorough in setting the scope and making sure everything is well-scheduled. We’ll jump on the phone for conference calls for project updates. They also communicate through email on an ongoing basis. They give us web access to their project management platform so we can see where things are and what they're doing. They’re easy to work with, so it's been really good.  

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Baytech Consulting quickly grasps the concept of what we're trying to accomplish. Understanding business use requirements is a huge thing. We've worked with other software or development companies in the past. We had to tell them exactly what we wanted, which is difficult to do as we're not programmers. Baytech Consulting’s ability to dive into our world and understand the business requirements is something that sets them apart. Additionally, it seems like they only take on business that they're passionate about.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They did a good job, so it's hard to pick anything that isn't positive. More face time would be my only suggestion, but I don't even know if that exists in software development.

Take your time upfront to work through the goal and the scope of the project. They actually required that of us. I think that's important as it’s key to making sure that everyone's on the same page before starting the project. Really engage with them on that process.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an executive at American Allied Health, a national certification and credentialing organization for allied health professionals. We offer vocational career and technical education certification and continuing education for those who work in allied health careers.

We have virtual employees worldwide, but our headquarters are in Rogers, Arkansas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Baytech Consulting?

We needed to completely rebuild our website from the ground up, including the marketing side, a student login, and a partner portal.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Baytech Consulting provided custom software and web development services to build an LMS and CMS for us. They developed a complete learning system that allowed our students and members to log in, take online exams, study learning materials online, and receive certificate PDFs. Partners could also log in and monitor student progress.

They also worked on mobile app development for Android and iOS. Baytech Consulting built the platform using Angular, TypeScript, .NET, C#, and ASP.NET.

Overall, they worked on development and DevOps consulting. They built all the containerization; they didn’t need to focus much on the UI/UX design. The team adapted as needed and made changes along the way, but the original design was elsewhere.

What is the team composition?

We worked with five people overall. Bryan (Partner) was the architect. Michael (Senior Software Engineer) was an architect and the lead engineer. Finally, we had three other engineers: Jeff (Partner), Cristian, and Joseph (Software Engineers).

How did you come to work with Baytech Consulting?

We found them through a Google search for the best California-based web developers. Baytech Consulting came up on top, so we figured they were capable if they were on top.

How much have you invested with them?

They completed the MVP under a $600,000 budget.

What is the status of this engagement?

We launched the product in March 2024, and the project took seven months to complete. We still work with Baytech Consulting on DevOps-managed services. They also manage our server and continue with upkeep and improvements.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we launched, our average monthly revenue shot up over 20%. Regarding traffic, Baytech Consulting installed Google Analytics, but we didn’t have it on the old website, so we unfortunately can’t compare. However, we know that sales have gone way up, and we’re getting feedback from our partner users who are giving awesome reviews online and telling us they love the site. Overall, our partners are happy and satisfied.

How did Baytech Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was exceptional because they showed us the entire system they had to run their sprints. Baytech Consulting got us one consistent source of truth, and there was a clear communication platform via Microsoft Teams. It was easy to work with them because we knew the points of communication and had one platform for contact.

Additionally, they surprised us multiple times throughout the journey and hit the milestones quicker than we thought.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Michael did an amazing job on Microsoft Teams. I could write out a bug for debugging or a design requirement, and he would like the message within 10 seconds and respond within 30 seconds, which was incredible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their clear metric results and accountability were impressive. We actually tried three development companies before Baytech Consulting and scrapped the entire project twice. We just started again with new goals, so this was our third company. We were incredibly satisfied with their results because they were the only ones that brought tangible outcomes. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They were expensive, but we got what we paid for. The code and systems were cutting-edge, and we got incredible documentation for everything along the way. Overall, we paid for the clear communication and actual results.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We had a lot of success because we had a clear MVP in mind and laid out the design and project requirements beforehand. You always risk developing problems if you have scope creep, so I recommend ensuring that you’re clear when you come in. They’ll build exactly what you want.
