Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the President of a marketing agency specializing in web design and development who turned to Barrels Ahead for assistance with an advanced content marketing plan for a client.

For what projects/services did your company hire Barrels Ahead?

We needed help developing a long-term content marketing plan to help a wine producer improve their go-to market content distribution plan to aid in increased sales.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I've followed Drew's podcast and have had several conversations with him so I knew that his wealth of knowledge and experience within the wine industry was the perfect match for what we needed. The critical thinking and method of tackling challenges makes him standout.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

After an initial discovery call, we had a strategy meeting between both teams to identify the needs and goals of the project. From there, the ball was in their court and led additional follow up meetings to review the plan as it came to fruition. We were never left wondering where the project was.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We were fortunate to work directly with Drew throughout the entire process and he shared elements developed by his team. It was great knowing we had that type of access.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It is too early to know the full outcome because the program was only just rolled out but the feedback from our client about the overall plan has been nothing but positive.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very good, meetings and emails were heavier at the beginning which is to be expected and then slowed to bi-weekly check ins as other items were prepared. They were very easy to work with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Really the passion for the industry stands out and it makes a huge difference because it makes it exciting for everyone.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind. Since we are in the industry, I believe that helped as both teams already had set expectations and knew what was needed between the teams. Which makes it much easier.
